No. Since Apple power converter work from 110 to 240 volts, no power converter is reguired.
You will need a pin adaprt. I have found my local Ace hardware store to have the best deal on them.

Who is going to take ownership of "download this video" not working? Mozilla, Flash or Real???

Upgraded Mozilla Firefox to 3.6.4. Updated Adobe Flash to 10,1,53,64. Updated Real Player to 1.1.4. I am able to view videos but unable to see "Download this video" button on Youtube.
The download this video button will appear in IE but no longer in Mozilla Firefox.
There are lots of complaints/questions about this issue. Who is going to take control of this issue to resolve it? Is it Firefox's or Flashplayer's or Real's problem??? Some issues in this forum state that they have been resolved, but they have not.

Hmm. Mime type is correct, but if you used the new ffmpegx to
re-encode
Clown.flv, did you remember to upload the new file?
I ask because Clown.flv does not have the metadata that Flash
requires.
I ran it through the Windows only flvmdi program from
http://www.buraks.com/flvmdi/
and it works now.
I don't know Mac, but if you can run Windows programs on it
via Wine or
some other means, you may want to look into it. Or look for a

Flash Video encoder program altogether.

A gift card can only be redeemed onto one account, it can't be split between accounts and it can't be used to gift amounts and/or items to other accounts (gifting can only be done via a credit card).

You can use your backup copy of your computer to copy everything.
For the itunes portion, you can type "move itunes library" into the google search bar.
Windows should have a way to copy all doc/pics/files/contacts/calendars/etc.

I have never owned an Apple product before -- I'm a newby!

Aside form the limitation of LTE to the 700MHz and 2.1GHz bands (which rules out LTE in Europe I gather, at least as it stands now) the new iPad should let you use a GSM 3g/2g/edge network anywhere. The CDMA Verizon model will only be able to use it's native CDMA radio band in the USA (that radio will be locked to Verizon), but it's international GSM radio is the same as the AT&T model.
Keep in mind though that by far the cheapest option when abroad is to take advantage of free wifi as much as possible (well, that is always the cheapest option, since it is free). I know several people who have taken their wifi-only iPads and iPad2s to Europe and said they did not find the lack of 3G really inconvenient at all as most towns had plenty of free or cheap wifi access all over the place.
And in 3 years, your iPad will be at least 2-3 generations behind, LTE will have already been replaced by 5G or whatever the next new generation of cellular ends up being named (and the "young" kids will be wondering what the heck 3G even means or meant - dang that stuff was from the olden days!), and you can pitch that ancient piece of technology and start things all over again

First, create a separate login on your computer for your friend. Do this BEFORE you do anything else. Next, make sure iTunes is up to date. Then:
1. Disable auto sync when an iPod/iPhone is connected under Preferences>Devices in iTunes.
2. Make sure you have one contact & one event in the supported applications(Address Book, iCal) on your computer. These entries can be fake, doesn't matter, the important point is that these programs not be empty.
3. Connect her phone, iTunes running, do not sync at this point.
4. Store>Authorize this computer.
5. File>Transfer Purchases(To make sure all purchased content on her phone will be in her itunes library).
6. Right click in the device pane & select reset warnings.
7. Right click again and select backup.
8. Right click again & select restore from backup, select the backup you just made. When prompted to create another backup, decline.
9. This MUST be followed by a sync to restore her itunes content, which you select from the various tabs, You'll get a popup regarding her contacts & calendars asking to merge or replace, select merge.
You should be good to go.

Going to Canada for the summer, can I unlock my iphone 5 and get a prepaid card in Canada?

I'll be going to North Vancouver, BC this summer (in a few days actually) and am trying to figure out what to do about my phone. I plan on suspending my line with AT&T for the time being. Anyway, if I unlock my phone what features will I have, for example, will imessage work while I'm connected to wifi? Any carrier suggestions?

FIRST you must get AT&T to unlock your phone. They will only do this if you have paid off your contract or paid full price for the phone. Then you need to find a PAYG carrier in Canada. Last time I checked I couldn't find one. iMessage will work over WiFi whether the phone is locked or unlocked. You might want to just keep AT&T and add an international data plan: http://www.wireless.att.com/learn/international/roaming/affordable-world-package s.jsp#data.

I'm in the same position, the store said they didn't know of any new release, so i bought my macbook pro to find out about mountain lion. I really hope that i'm not going to pay for the upgrade. New to apple, also last month bought my Ipad 3, really thought that Airplay would have been on my book pro, nope, waste of time.........need that update to use it. Back i the box then, get the windows 7 ultimate pro back out until then.

So who is going early today for the release. I can't get any sleep tonight so I am just going to pull an all nighter and get to ATT at around 6 30. I really hope they have on left for me.

i'm trying to figure out how early to go! I'm in Seattle. i want to go right now, LOL. i have no idea how lines are going to look - i've never done this before. Hoping most ppl have already gotten theirs but i highly doubt it. Is it silly to at like, 3am? i'm doing an exchange of my 3GS since i got it on the 3rd. woo hoo... i just need to get it taken care of by the 3rd. I've heard that even if they sell out at ATT, you can at least have them order one for you. I am guessing if i get there at the crack of dawn i'll be fine.
Anyone have any ideas on how many phones ATT is going to have in stock? a friend of mine works there... can't she just, like, hold one for me? LOL i WISH

MMS will not be available until later this summer in USA

It looks like many were caught off guard by not being able to use the MMS. I thought that was common knowledge by now that it's not going to be available in the USA until later this summer, even for those getting the new 3G S. There are already a couple of threads about this. It's not available yet, we have to deal with it. Keep using the email instead. It sends bigger pictures that way anyway.

It amazes me that people don't bother to find out what they are getting when they upgrade, then complain when they find out that they can't use a feature that has been stated over and over in every spot in adverts, and online, wont be available for either their iPhone model, or from their provider.
I've read over and over today people with 2G and 3G phones complaining that they can't get video to work - Every single spot that has any info about video states in overly simple, plain text that this is ONLY a 3GS option.
Please refrain from complaining about the lack of a certain feature or option, as if you're surprised it isn't there, until you know if your hardware/service provider supports it.

I agree, it's too bad it won't be available for WP8 right away, but hopefully it'll be coming down the road.
BBM is a really nice platform. A lot of my former BBM contacts are now my WhatsApp contacts, but BBM is more secure and doesn't use your phone number, which some people don't want available to group members. Also, I like that BBM doesn't show everyone when you last used the application, like Facebook Chat and WhatsApp do.

You hit it right on the head, just because they do not lock down bootloaders still does not change that rooting and installing unarthorized firmware or OS violates TOS and voids warrenty which cleans Verizons hands to replace device if it gets damage while doing any of these things to device.
