Who points the IP address

I have a client that bought a domain name from bitServe. GoDaddy is going to be hosting my DW site.  My client input the two GoDaddy name servers but Godaddy says that the ip address has to be pointed properly in the DNS manager at bitServe and bitServe says GoDaddy has to do it. Does anyone know who's correct? I have the site uploaded and ready to go!!!! I would really appreciate some input so I know who to argue with!!!
Thank you,
Faith

The IP address of the 'hosting' provider - in your case, GoDaddy will give you their nameservers that you should point your domain to.
Once you get these nameservers, you should go to your domain control panel in bitServe and add them to the domain's nameserver area.
For example, Godaddy's nameservers will be something similar to:
ns21.domaincontrol.com
ns22.domaincontrol.com
Godaddy will give you these when you try to set up hosting for a domain that is not registered with Godaddy. You can login to Godaddy's hosting control panel to find out the nameservers for your site that you've set up with them.
In your bitServe control panel, you'll have an area where you can see & modify the nameservers for the domain you've registered with them. You should put these nameservers as 'Primary' & 'Secondary' nameservers.
Once the change is done, it will take upto 48 hours for the change to reflect and propagate across all DNS servers at ISP's end. After this, your domain will be active on the new nameserver - in your case, Godaddy.
Since your domain is not registered with Godaddy, godaddy can only give you the NS information. The update has to be done at bitserve's end, not godaddy.

  • When a link is rolled over by the mouse pointer a very annoying pop up with the link address shows up. There seems to be no way to prevent this from happening. How can this pop up be made to go away?

no matter what website, every time I move the mouse pointer over something to click on a line of black printing in a thin white box pops up at the bottom of the screen and shows me the http address of the item I'm about to click on. I want to shut this function off or remove it if possible. I find that the previous version did not do this, it seems to be unique to 6.0. It's VERY distracting and ANNOYING. How can I make it go away????

When you hover the mouse cursor over any link, it will display the link details at the bottom left of the screen; black font on white background.
This display can be very important as it shows the full address of the hyperlink. This can be particulary useful for checking on whether the link is bona-fida. For example; if you receive an email that looks like it is from a bank , hovering over the link will indicate instantly that the link is pretending to be something it isn't.
Another example that can be useful; a website link may say 'contact me' rather than give the actual email address. However, when you hover over the link, the actual email address will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. If you click on the link then Outlook usually opens, however I do not use Outlook, so displaying the email address is useful.
This display is something that has always been present and it is also displayed if you use IE.
However, I can see that this annoys you, so you could try the following:
After installing the addon, you will need to restart Firefox, then go to History and Restore previous session to get all your tabs and webpages back.
You will now find that when you hover over any link, it will now display in your address bar on the right hand side.
If this helps, please say this question has been solved.

The Apple ID and Password that was Originally used to Activate the iDevice is required.

  • How do I find the MAC address of a CLIENT ACCESS POINT created from the FILE SERVICES ROLE

I have several Client Access Points created within the clustered File Services Role.  The only way I seem to be able to determine the MAC address of each of these, is by visiting the DHCP server.
Does anyone know if there is a way of reporting on this from the server (active node) itself?  I have tried ipconfig all, checked the properties of the CAP in the FCS console etc.
    Many thanks.

    Hi,
As far as I know there have no original option for query all the CAP MAC address, may you can create a PowerShell command then filter the configuration result, you can ask

I'm among about 140 people who received the same email. How can I create a new group for these people without manually entering all 140 addresses?

    Hi  SDGNOM,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to export  list to Excel with all columns in your SharePoint.
For the SharePoint RPC protocol method, SharePoint export to excel will take the list id as well as the view id. So we cannot export list to Excel with all the columns without having to depend on the fields
    chosen in the default view.
    Reference:http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms478653.aspx
For a workaround, you can achieve your demand via PowerShell. Here is a  template you can refer to:
    Param(
    [Parameter(Mandatory=$True)]
    [string]$webUrl,
    [Parameter(Mandatory=$True)]
    [string]$outPath
    $web = Get-SPWeb $webUrl
    write-host ("Path: " + $outPath)
    foreach($list in $web.Lists)
    $exportlist = $null
    $exportlist = @()
    $list.Items | foreach {
    $hash = $null
    $hash = @{}
    foreach($fld in $_.Fields ){
    Try {
    $hash.add($fld.Title, $_[$fld.Title])
    Catch [System.Management.Automation.MethodInvocationException]
    # Eating an error caused by duplicate column names.
    Finally
    #"End"
    write-host ("Exported: " + $_.Title)
    $obj = New-Object PSObject -Property $hash #@{
    $exportlist += $obj
    $expath = $outPath + '\' + $list.Title + '.csv'
    $exportlist | Export-Csv -path $expath #$oPath

  • Must the buffer pointed in calls to WFM_DB_Transfer be at the same address?

We have a need to produce a dynamically changing output signal. Double Buffering looked promising to achieve this.
From trial and error it appears that the address pointed to from WFM_Load must be used in WFM_DB_Transfer. We hoped to have multiple buffers and change the output by pointing to the desired buffer in calls to WFM_DB_Transfer. When this was attempted the first buffer change worked but successive buffer changes had no impact and it continued to output the second buffer.
When we copied the desired buffer to a fixed buffer referenced in WFM_Load and WFM_DB_Transfer than all worked as expected. This has led us to conclude that the buffer address must be fixed. This is dissa
ppointing because otherwise unecessary memory copies are taking place.
Is this correct? If so is the same true of the size specified in WFM_DB_Transfer calls. We want the size to be able to vary because the algorithms used to determine the levels needed for the desired frequencies varies the buffer size in an effort to ensure that buffers can transition at the same phase.
    Any help would be appreciated,
    Jack

    Jack;
You are correct on your considerations. Unfortunately, you need to use the same memory position for both Load and Transfer calls. You will need to make the size don't vary and use the same memory area, if you need to change the waveform on the fly.
I'm attaching a CVI code which uses those same function calls to change the waveform output on the fly. You can use that code as future reference.
    Hope this helps.

i would like to use my credit card which has other country billing address who i can do it. every time i tryed it is only give me the us address.  could you please help me on this

You will need to update the address and country that you have on your account, and if using a credit card then that will need to be registered to that new address - you should be able to update them logging into your account via Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes

  • How can I see the IP address of somone who used my iPad that was stolen to log into my app-store?

I recently fell victim to a theft of my iPad. Albeit it was an old one, it was mine.
Logging on to app-store with my iPhone, I have been prompted many times for "confirmation" of my password and for security questions. Clearly, someone has been trying to log on and has failed. My only guess is that they intend to keep the iPad and download music or whatever. But being prompted for security questions, leads me to suspect that somone has my apple ID but has been plugging away at passwords to buy stuff.
If I was able to locate the IP address (as the unit is only Wi-Fi), I can pass this onto the authorities and perhaps retreive the unit.
Is it possible to load a location app remotely from here and have it load up when the stolen unit is online again?
    Many thanks y'all

Did you have 'find my iPhone' activated on it? Because if you go to iCloud.com you can log in there and you can remotely lock or wipe your device.  From what I hear, the police won't do anything about going and fetching stolen iPads and iPhones, but if you have find my iphone/ipad/ipod/mac turned on then it will give you a map of where it is.
Just keep in mind that sometimes iTunes does ask you for your password regardless, and only a few weeks ago apple brought in security questions, so everyone had to fill in security questions for their iTunes account to make it more secure If all else fails, ring Apple cusomer support and they might be able to bar your account or something, however you may have to make a new account (the might be able to set it up so you have all your previous information on a new account)
    Hope this helps!

  • How to find the User who changed the connection settings

    Hi Gurus,
I am basically a BW guy but i am looking at your precious Guidance in this issue.
We have a situation in our BW production system. The job loads are working fine till now but seems like someone has meddled with RFC connection with R/3 prod.
The connection between R/3 and BW is broken. I would like to know if there is any way to find the User or some Log to find who might have medelled with the RFC's .
    Help is greatly appreciated.
    Regards
    satish M

    Hello Satish,
    Which release are you on?
Option 1: Take a look in SM59 selecting the destination and there is a "last changed" information displayed.
Option 2: the table for these connections are often not logged for table change logging, but if they are... then try transaction SCU3 on the backend tables (table RFCDES is a good start).
(search for rec/client and recclient etc as search terms).
Option 3: Why would someone change a connection? Try to analyze what happened during the time period after the change, or even immediately before the change (audit logs, system events, server statistics etc). A simple check would be via SM20 to see who started SM59 immediately prior to this. A more complex check would be analyzing the RFC profiles in ST03N.
Option 4: On the R/3 side, you might be able to find the same auditable information as well (perhaps even the IP address of the caller?) Tip: The person might have created a dump... => transaction ST22.
Option 5: There are some other additional logging, tracing and control possibilities at a deeper technical level, if used or active at that point in time.
    Cheers,
    Julius

  • Accessing the global Address List using Java Outlook Connector

    Hi All,
I have written a code to access the Global Address List using (Jar) in Java outlook Connector
However i am able to retriev the name and email address of that employee only.
I want the other details like location(particularly).
    Please help out.
    Thanks,
    Arijit.

    Ari_Dev wrote:
The scenario is i am an employee and i want to get information regarding other employees(name, location) which are stored in outlook through my java application(using JOC).Just a point of clarification, there is no actual java code in the Sun Outlook Connector. The use of Java with most of our products names is for marketing/branding purposes only.
Now there are employees who are not stored in my address book or local contacts. For them when i try to read the GAL i can get only their name and email address. So the 'cn:' (name) and 'mail:' (email address) attributes are being provided by the directory for a GAL search.
however if i try displaying their details using the JOC it comes with proper information through the outlook pop up but cannot read this data.As I said in my previous response, the data that the Sun Outlook Connector provides in the GAL view is determined by the user that the GAL binds to the directory server as, plus the restrictions that user has on the information the directory server will provide for GAL searches/queries.
This bind user is usually different from the 'super-user' bind user that UWC/Communications Express uses which is why you may see more information in UWC/CE compared to in the GAL in Outlook.
Therefore you need to work with the Directory Server administrator to increase the information that the Sun Outlook Connector user is able to see.

    Shane.

  • Filter access points by MAC address

I've got a constant problem with ad-hoc networks (set up accidentally by various users around me--I am a faculty in residence living on a college campus) with the same SSID as the (unsecured) network that I am trying to connect to with my PB G4 running 10.4.3. When the signal strength from the ad-hoc is stronger than from the real access point, only the ad-hoc shows up in my Airport drop down menu (i.e., all the entries are listed as "Computer to computer"). I can connect to the access point via iStumbler, but it's a nuisance to do that every time and anyway my PB keeps on dropping that connection in favor of the stronger signal of the ad-hoc.
I'd like to be able to do one or more of the following:
    (1) Prohibit my PB from connecting to ad-hoc networks even if they happen to have the same SSID as my preferred network. (And, no, none of the options in the Network control panel seem to help.) I would have no problem with completely forbidding my PB from connecting to ad-hoc networks as I have no need for such connections for my PB.
    (2) Employ a whitelist of MAC addresses that I want to allow my PB to connect to. (A blacklist is not as useful, since the MAC address of the ad-hoc keeps on changing. But I suppose I could run some script in the background that logs the ad-hocs current MAC address and feeds it into the blacklist.)
    (3) Find out the machine name (which is typically a student's name) or other identifying info of the machine that is originating the ad-hoc network, so I can talk to the person who is originating the network (it violates campus policy, and is a nuisance to a lot of people). I tried locating the network source with a directional antenna, but failed. (We've got a high density here, and I thought I talked to all the folks around where the signal seemed strongest.)
    Thanks for any suggestions!
    Alex Pruss

Chances are, there is no bug.
You likely have the Default Rule in Timed Access set to Unlimited. So, any device that provides the password will be allowed to connect at all times.
If you do not want a device to be able to connect by simply entering the password, you must first change the Default Rule to No Access. Then, a device will only be allowed to connect if your have an entry using the MAC address of the device and the time period specified that it will be allowed to connect.
