Who's using APEX for their corporate website?

Hi,
I'm trying to convince a prospective client that APEX is the way to go for the redevelopment of their corporate website. They would like to see some examples of other organisation's websites that have been implemented in APEX.
If you know of any I'd be grateful if you could post the URL here.

I'm a still photographer who is using Motion5 for presentation of my work. I'm exporting images out of Photoshop at 4000, 3840 or 1380 pixels wide at 72 DPI
I;m trying to see which file size will render me the best sharpiness for my images. I'm having issues because as a photographer I need my images to render very sharp when view in my Motion5 projects. I look at the properties menu the canvas size is 1280 by 720. Yes I know Motion5 is rendering my files at 30 frames per second or something like that. Yet I need sharp rendering of my images, help

For maximum sharpness, your canvas should be 1920 x 1080 for HD output and set your export settings (or Canvas Render settings) to Best. Upon export, you can access that property in the export dialog from the Render tab > Render Quality -- the default is Use canvas setting, but you can override your canvas settings here. Since one of your pix sizes is 1380, then the 720 canvas would be the maximum size you could use. You do not want to scale images larger to fill the canvas as they will soften in appearance, but you can always scale images down to fit the canvas and retain their "apparent" sharpness (you still lose pixels and fine detail, but the images will sharp).

Can't use keychain for pnc bank website

I can't store password in keychain for PNC Bank website. Website has added security, password is entered on separate screen from userid. Also uses authentication with picture and keyword. I like added security, but would like to store password in Keychain to save strokes. Is this possible?

A workaround is to use the Notes app.
Type in user names and passwords that you can copy / paste from Notes to the sites login.
You still have to paste the data but saves time not typing everytime.

Would like to use iWeb for a photography website

Please bear with me on this. The question I am going to raise has been asked on the forum in bits and pieces but don’t think I was able to find a comprehensive solution to it.
I currently maintain a photography website which is hosted overat my-expressions.com. Link - http://staticmemory.my-expressions.com/
I love (for the most part) how I have got my site laid out here. The problem is that the host is no longer supporting the platform and hence it means no additional storage space to buy, etc. Basically the hosting platform is going to be abandon-ware in the next few months. Hence, I have decided to build something out on my own. Have purchased a domain and currently have got it to point to my existing photo site.
My Question – Now that you guys have the context, I would like to use iWeb to replicate something similar and host the new site on my own domain. Unfortunately, I know no code but if there is something reasonable, I am willing to spend time and figure things out. I can really see how iWeb can come in handy to create the pages, etc. It’s the adding the comments piece underneath each photo and the option to purchase prints is what I am having concerns about. If you take a look at my website, you will see how one can click on the Purchase Print link right below each photo and that will provide them with options on the print size and then taket hem over to paypal. Works great in the current environment.
Any pointers on replicating the Comments and Purchase Printfunctionality in iWeb will be greatly appreciated!

BNN, even though I understand what KT is saying, your thought resonates with mine. When it comes to building and maintaining my website, I see myself more as a photographer than as a web designer. Hence, even though Apple may not be actively developing (and we are guessing on this one, arent we) iWeb, the existing functionality should do plenty of good to me for next couple years at least.
That said, they released a point update a few days back and with the whole cloud thing building momentum and mobile me going for free, why would Apple want to pull the plug on such a fantastic product?

Website pdf won't open with Preview - requires Adobe Reader. How do I force iMac to use Adobe for this particular website?

I need to access a tax form from my state's tax website. The site will not allow Mac Preview to open any pdfs on the site. I already have the latest version of Adobe Reader downloaded on my iMac which is using Mac OS X 10.6.8 The state's support guide says to make certain my internet browser (Safari) is set to open all pdfs with Adobe Reader. How do I do this? Thanks in advance for helping.

I think you solved my problem! Upon following your advice, I first got a message that I had not allowed a connection to the Tax dept computers, which would prevent the file I need to fill out from being e-filed. I proceeded to then open the file at the top of which was a security banner at which I chose the site as safe. I then filled in the first line of the form which autofilled other lines telling me I was connected with the tax site. In a few days when I have the data I need, I will actually attempt to file the return. If there is a problem, I will send another message. Thanks so much for your assistance!

How do I create a "Reset Password Link" using apex for OracleExpress 10g?

I'd like to add a "Reset Password" link to my application, but am not sure how to implement this.
I see there is htmldb_util.reset_pw procedure, but this can only be called if the current user has admin privs. Clearly, an end user will not be able to logon as the administrator in order to reset their password!
I tried preceding the call to htmldb_util.reset_pw with a call to htmldm_custom_auth.set_user, and whilst the page showed the name of the admin user when it displayed, the call to htmldb_util.reset_pw still raised the exception that the current user must have admin privs.

You can either "play" with permissions for each user or you collect the reset password requests into a table and use DBMS_SCHEDULER to run the reset procedure every few minutes - this of course makes only sense, if said reset procedure can be used on different users from one account.

Does anyone use Xfinity for their home Wifi?

If so, is yours very slow? Xfinity advertises lightning speeds but I am not getting anything close to fast! Please help!!

I have Xfinity and it works fine. Have you called Comcast? Are you only experiencing slow speeds on your phone or on all devices? On my iPhone, my Wifi was a slow so I did a full reset of my internet and then reset my phone's network settings. This seemed to speed things up.
To reset internet:
Unplug wireless router electricity and then follow the below steps. If you have phone service and your modem is also used for phone, it has a battery so you have to hit the reset button, you cannot just unplug its electricity:
Cable Modem Users
Reset your cable modem by pressing and holding down the reset button, located on the front or back of your modem, for five seconds. If there’s no reset button, then power cycle your modem.
To power cycle your modem:
Shut down your computer.
Unplug the cable modem from the electrical outlet.
Wait 10 seconds, then plug the cable modem back into the electrical outlet.
Unplug your router from the electrical outlet.
Plug your router back in.
Wait 30 seconds, then turn your computer back on.
XFINITY Internet & Voice Modem Users
Shut down your computer
Find the reset button on the back of the unit.
Use a pen or any pointed, non-metallic object to press the reset button until you see the lights on the front of the unit go off.
Release the reset button and wait for the unit to cycle up (this may take up to five minutes).
Unplug your router from the electrical outlet.
Plug your router back in.
Wait 30 seconds, then turn your computer back on.
Reset phone's network settings.

Go to support on the apple .com site and manuals. and you'll find the 162 page pdf ( yes virginia 162 pages) as the first selection...and it's like a real baby with questions like "when will it arrive"

What app is Apple using to make THEIR website?

I can build gorgeous (to me) websites with iWeb, but the coding is overly verbose and the site always slow to load.
So I'm just wondering what Apple uses to build their main website? Which is slick, fast, and good-looking.

There is really no way to know what Apple uses to build their site.
There is no reason why you can not make a good looking, fast site in iWeb. The only reason why your website may not look as nice is because you are probably not a professional website designer like the people behind Apple's site.
If your site is too slow consider reducing the number of images you use on your website, making sure your text is not converted to images, you switch to a real web hosting provider and not rely on MobileMe, and you run your iWeb website through a web site optimizer.

Should I USe ColdFusion For This?

Can I use Skype for my business?

I have a SKype number and been using it for my business for a year already. Today I've received an email from Skype saying that I can't use Skype for commercial purpose. I'm confused because I've seen so many people saying that they use Skype for their business. Here's the message I've just received:
