Is there a program or anyway to show who's using a wireless network at a given time? Like a feature that shows a list of computers that are on the wireless network?

1. Open the .dmg if it did not auto-open.
2. Control-click "AirPortSW.pkg" and select "Show Package Contents"
3. Open Contents
4. Drag Archive.pax.gz to the Desktop
5. Double-click Archive.pax.gz to unarchive the file
6. AirPortConfig.framework is in ~/Desktop/Archive/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks
7. Drag AirPortConfig.framework to /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/
You will be asked to authenticate.
Airport Management Tool should work at this point.

Usually, your router comes with a log file somewhere which you can use to look up the connections made. My DLink614+ uses this list to show the MAC addresses currently connected. My syslog makes references to attempts made. However all you can see is MAC addresses...

Viewing people who are using your shared files, or Managing Shared Folders.

Not sure if I phrased that topic the right way, but I'm wondering if there is a way to see who is taking what from my shared folders, or what they're using from them. My roommate does it from his pc and on there it's called "managing your shared folders", so I'm really hoping there's a way I can do it as well, any ideas?

Not sure if i understand you correct, maybe this help you a bit.
Open Terminal, type
-"lsof -i" to view current connections
Look in the Console logs for who is connecting and what they are doing.

No, I made sure nothing was checked for that section when i found out he could see my screen. At the top it says "computers on your local network can access your computer at: blah blah". I think thats how hes doing it but i dont know how to fix it.

What do you mean you choose to send him an SMS because you don't have any connection. What kind of connection? Delete the thread with that individual that you sent via SMS, and as long as you have iMessage activated on your device and your friend has an active data connection, it should recognize that and send as an iMessage. Another scenario is to have the friend send you a message that you can respond to.

If you open the Maps app where does that say you are located?
For location the iPod uses the location of nearby routers that are in Apple's database of routers and their location. Thus it appears that Apple's database is incorrect. You do not have to be connected to the router, just within range.
Apple periodically updates their database based on information they obtain from iPhones, The iPhone has to have turned on the option to send info to Apple. no one has found another way to get the location of a router added/corrected.
You can confirm that by going to well-know place with wifi like Starbucks or McDonalds

Hi, do you mean a real Dial-up Modem as in the old days?
As I recall, the Apple USB Modem won't work in 64 bit OSes, but there are others that will, I think this is one of them...

Will using your own router allow loopback connections?

SomeJoe7777 you are correct regarding the route of a given packet when using a WAN IP locally (NAT loopback). However will again state that NAT loopback does not work using a router behind the NVG589. As you stated it should...which is why the issue lies with the NVG589. Most likely something to do with IP passthrough mode on the NVG589 not being a true bridge mode which in turn does effect one's own router. Bottom line I encourage you to attempt NAT loopback yourself with a router behind the NVG589 and report your results. It wouldn't be the first time that ATT said something should work only to later admit it was a problem with their hardware.

NAT loopback is defined as a function of a router where connections to ports on the outside IP address are translated and routed to the server defined in the router, even when the connection attempt comes from the "inside" portion of the network.
e.g.. Let's say we have a router with an outside IP address of 99.99.99.99 (a public IP address), and the router has been configured so that inbound connections to port 80 on that WAN interface are translated to a destination address of 192.168.1.20 (on the inside network). This enables a web server running on the 192.168.1.20 machine to respond to web requests from the Internet, provided those web requests are coming in to 99.99.99.99.
If another computer on the internal network, such as 192.168.1.101, can pull up the web site using http://99.99.99.99 (instead of the direct connection of http://192.168.1.20 ) then the router implements NAT loopback.
Now, knowing that, let's review:
If you use your own router, and it is the device doing the network address translation (NAT), that means it's outside address is x.x.x.x (a publically routable IP address), and it's inside addresses are private, in RFC 1918 address space. This can be set up with the U-Verse modems using DMZPlus (2Wire/Pace 3xxx series gateways) or IP Passthrough (Motorola NVG5xx series gateways).
NAT loopback in this situation is completely dependent on the functionality of your own router. By definition, any NAT loopback request under this circumstance never leaves your network and your router, and thus never touches the U-Verse gateway at all.
The bottom line is that if NAT loopback is not working with your router, then you either haven't configured your router properly, or your router doesn't support it. The ISP gateway has no bearing on this functionality whatsoever when configured in conjunction with your own router as described above.

Will iCloud on IOS 5 sync data using your 3G connection? If it does is there any way to set it that it does not sync over your 3G network and only sync using wifi when connected?
Also the new IOS 5 update, will it use more mobile data? If so how can i cap this so that it does not use too much data without me relaising?

Do you know what, I think that this *is* enough for me to look elsewhere. PhotoStream doesn't work for me, so that has been a major annoyance which had taken time to try to resolve (unsucessfully) and now they have made something that I do regularly 4 times more time consuming for me.
I have a work iPhone, my own iPhone, and an iPad. Perhaps I'm unusual in having several iOS devices hooked to the same iTunes, but what this means is that if I want to delete an app, whereas before I only had to delete it in iTunes and then sync my 3 devices, now I have to deleted in iTunes, delete from my work iPhone, delete from my own iPhone, and delete from my iPad.
It's stupid, idiotic, and frankly rubbish. Sure, I'm invested in the iOS world with probably a couple of hundred of pounds worth of apps, with TomTom and so on, but guess what - that is only a fraction of the cost of a new device, so really, when it comes to it, it's nowhere near enough to keep me on iOS. Real alternatives are available now, in a way that they weren't 4 years ago, and although "they" may say "it's not much of a hassle", really, why should I have to put up with any hassle?

Sharepoint 2010 Remote Development using Visual Studio 2013 Connection Errors

I have a customer who is using a custom skinned site developed in Sharepoint 2010.
I am trying to debug a webpart that is not loading on a page.
My Environment:
Local Laptop running Win 7 64 Enterprise, Visual Studio 2013, and Sharepoint Designer 2010.
I connect to the customers network via VPN and use RDP to access the server. I have Admin rights to the server.
Everything that I have read indicates that Web Part dev has to be done in VS. When I try to connect using server explorer, VS kicks back a 'Server Can not be found' error.
I have tried using the computer name, the app url listed in SP Central Admin, the IP address of the box, and the actual URL of the site. However, VS can not connect to the server.

The last connection article is confusing because one of the SO answers indicates that you do not need to have SP2010 installed.

Why cant I connect to the Server if I connected through VPN which would inherently make the server a local network computer?
Do I need to have VS installed on the actual server? I read that I can install Sharepoint Foundation locally and this will give me access to the server in VS.
Do I need to have the full version of VS installed in order to use Remote Tools?
For the Web Parts:
Why cant I see the web parts in Sharepoint Designer? I take it they are exclusively designed in VS, which brings me back to the questions above.
In Sharepoint Designer, I can see a custom view that was created from a custom list. I want to add that list to the page where the web part isnt working. When I open up the Edit Interface, and try to find that list, it does not display in the 'Lists and Libraries'

As per your description, remote deployment is not possible for server side code in sharepoint so if you are using server object model then you won't be able to debug or deploy your solution from visual studio.
VS is not required to installed on UAT/prod server but you need sharepoint along with visual studio in same development machine to develop any custom webpart.
Once you deploy your custom webpart on site then you will be able to see that webpart in webpart gallery and that gallery is also available in designer so it means you can also add your custom webpart from designer to any page.

It's good to read Antoniad's post. It reassures me that I can use my new iPad as an international communication device which is the reason I purchased the thing. However, I called Verizon today (my provider of cellular data) who told me that I can't just pop in a SIM card as you suggested. He also said that he was from the "Pre-Pay" division of Verizon and he was certain that I couldn't do what I planned to do. I was extremely disappointed as I had called Apple prior to buying the iPad and I read the algorhythm on the website for choosing an iPad before purchasing. Those sources were quite specific and the information seemed clear. I would be able to use my iPad to communicate through cellular connections while traveling on the road, literally, abroad. I was told that I could pop in a data card wherever I was, just as you indicated in your message above, and voila I was good to go. The Verizon rep definitively rained on that parade, but said that I might be able to do this if I have a "Post-Pay" account, a different area of Verizon. I haven't had the chance to talk to this division yet, so I looked to Apple's Support for answers. Maybe I will find out that I can use my iPad as an international communication device while traveling on the road afterall, however, it appears I may need a different type of account (Post-Pay), something I was never warned about. Can I switch to this kind of account? I don't know. I have to find out. 1) Open AirPort Utility
2) Hold down the option key on your Mac
3) Keep holding the option key while you double click on the AirPort Express icon in the center of the AirPort Utility window
4) Release the option key after you double click

That has nothing to do with OS X or your iMac, if you think someone has been using your Internet connection then you need to turn on the security on your WI-FI router. Please look in the owners manual of your router for instructions.
