Who to contact: split outside drop wire?

Hello everyone,
Festive season greetings.
Could you please point me to the right place to report this split drop wire so it could be replaced?
During the engineer visit to install my infinity, he noticed that the "drop wire running from the pole to my house was split and he could see the core wire and I should report it to BT as it needs to be changed."
I have done a " report a fault" on BT on the internet with the reason of the fault and obviously the test result was "no fault on the line".
So now after over a week I checked on the internet the "track the fault" and of course no fault reported. So I do not know if they got the message.
I have reported this to openreach today and the answer just received:
We deal only with public health and safety issues and can only make the place safe.
As you have an issue with your services, we request you to report this to your service provider and raise a fault.
They will send an engineer on site who will check the line and do the needful.
My phone line has been has been noisy/crackling and difficult to hear the conversation, however the other side could hear us well!!, maybe too much rain on the bare wire!!

openreach normally operate a policy of 'if it's not broke then don't fix it' but if your line is now crackling when doing quiet line test then you need to report a phone fault to 151 with no mention of your broadband

    Like a number of others on this forum, I received an unexpected bill from Verizon for running a new drop wire. $370.83 in my case. Same story here. The initial install was done poorly and the cable was discovered after using a sod-cutter and a rake. No digging was needed so there was no reason to call to have the cable located ahead of time. The crew that came to bury the new cable told us it hadn't been buried deep enough but they would do it right this time and it appears they did do it right, for the most part. I don't care for the way they ran the cable up the side of the house right next to a hose faucet so it interferes with attaching a hose or an insulated cover. The bigger issue is, they punctured one of my irrigation lines at the point where they route the cable under a sidewalk to connect to the box. I discovered this the same day I received this bill so now I'm not about to fix it myself. I don't know if it's necessary to vent on this forum in order to get my case escalated to a support agent but I need Verizon to contact me about making this bill go away and arrange for the repair of my irrigation system.

    Under “My Support Cases” you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. This should be checked on a frequent basis as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe".
    Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.

  • Drop wire replaced, but old one never removed. No...

    Over a year a go a faulty voice line resulated in the drop wire from the pole to our house being replaced.  Actually they rigged a new drop wire but left the old one in place.  The engineer claimed that there was an obstalce in our front garden which prevented her from placing a ladder to reach the old one.  This "obstacle" was simply a small bush near our fornt door.
    Some months later I got the master socket moved and asked the engineer about removing the old drop wire but nothing happened.
    Now I can see it is clearly fraying close to the house end, and looks ready to snap. This drop wire must be over 30 years old.
    What should I do? I certainly don't want to be charged for anything.

    When you have iPhoto and Contacts open and try to drag a picture for iPhoto to the Contacts photo frame do you get a + symbol? if not you should!  from there the the pop menu should appear and then you can select the picture and click on done

    Have you tried submitting feedback from within Logic? There is a direct email link named Provide Logic Express Feedback within the Logic Express item on the Menu bar.
    Some people have reported being contacted by Apple development staff after using this process.

    Hey everyone - This should be pretty easy.  Usually I recieve an email with a receipt with purchases through Apple. Does anyone know who to contact to get one? I need to expense the purchase of Lion for my work computer.

    I got my receipt a few days ago - about a week after I installed Lion. Maybe it's just taking some time, I'm sure you will get one eventually. But just to be sure, you might as well contact Apple

    I'm trying to run Firefox on a Mac with Parallels and Windows XP. I can use Firefox, that's fine, what I can't do is sync my bookmarks. They are all synced on both macs, and my old PC, a really slow Dell L110, thus trying to use Parellels. Is there any way to contact someone who can look at why my log in to Xmarks won't work on Parallels?     Same issue - however firefox will open but I can not click on only of my tool bar shortcuts - the writing on the google age is greyed out so I can not click on anything. Still no resolution? I have deleted the folders and re-installed - it will open and then locks and it will not work????

    I upgraded my iOS to 5 on my original iPad. Now I have messaging. However, I have no idea who in my 300 contacts have signed up.  Some apps have a way of searching your contacts or Facebook friends to see if they have access to certain games like Words with Friends...  Is there a way to determine who in my list of contacts that I can now send text messages to?  iPad uses apple id (email) and iPhones, use their cellphone, but when I created these contacts, I had no idea if they had an iPhone or later upgraded to one, but kept the same tel #.

    You are right. It's just inconvenient to go through them one at a time. Then a month from now to try to remember which of their email addresses was the one for their apple id or hmmm,.. Was it one of their phone #'s that I sent it to. We need an app!  Remember AIM instant messaging, and you had a list of active participants? We need something like that, because just looking at a phone#, it could be an iPhone or not...
