Whoops! Keyboard lock icon accidentally deleted

V 6.0 included a keyboard lock icon and I accidentally deleted it.  Does anyone know where to get this little app so I can reinstall it?

Never mind, I found it.  It was merely hidden.  Selected 'show-all', there it was.

I updated my software to the recommended urgrade and now don't have a keyboard lock icon on the desktop menu. Is this correctable?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Which OS did you update to? On the newer OS's the keyboard lock icon will not display until you have a security password on the device.

  • Missing keyboard lock icon 8530

Just upgraded to new OS,missing keyboard lock icon. How do you lock keyboard?

    Hello,
You have upgraded to the point where the function changed. To lock the keyboard, you now press (and quickly release) one of the hard keys on top (usually the power key). But, this is only a keyboard lock...not a full device lock. The only way a screen icon exists anymore is if you create a device lock password...then you would have an icon to activate that.
    Good luck!

  • Settings icon accidentally deleted

I accidentally deleted the "settings" icon from my iPhone 3GS. How do I restore it?

None of the default apps can be deleted (try and see for yourself). It must be on another page or there's a software problem... try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

  • I accidentally deleted my "clock/alarm" app. How do I get the icon back?

I was moving apps and accidentally deleted the clock/alarm app.  I can "search" and get my alarms, but I still can't get the icon to move it to my home screen.  How do I get the icon back?

I've looked in other folders and screens and can't locate it.  I understand that there are apps that can't be deleted and this is one of them....I've tried several ways to locate it and can't.

How do I get my FaceTime icon back on my iPhone 5 after accidentally deleting it

Obviously I need to speak another language for you.... AGAIN my intentions were to answer the original post... Obviously more than one person has had this issue... I didn't create the post! If you take the time to read what I have said, I in fact wasn't the one asking the question, I was answering it! It's funny your on an Apple forum stating that information given by APPLE is incorrect.... Mind boggling! When answering a question on a forum, there are those that will disagree with the answers you have provided..SO WHAT! My life goal is not to answer to you or anyone else's satisfaction... Get over it.. You call it splitting hairs, I call it stating my opinion...I would have had to provide a service in order to provide a disservice, to which my opinion is not!  If you don't agree with what I or APPLE has said, shrug and move on....

  • IF you accidentally delete the applications icon on your dock, how do you get it back there.

If  you accidentally delete the Apllication icon on your dock, how do you add it back there???

You click on the hard disk in the Finder's sidebar and drag it back from there. In recent Mac OS X versions, you can also drag it there directly from the sidebar.

  • HT1947 Help!  I'm very new to my iphone and i think i might have accidentally deleted Facetime from my phone I dont have the icon anymore but my settings tell me  have it.  What do I do to get it back on my phone?  Thank you!

Help!  I'm very new to my iphone and i think i might have accidentally deleted my Facetime although my settings tell me I have it.  How do i get it back on my phone?  Thank you.

Built-in apps cannot be deleted. However, there never was a FaceTime icon on the iPhone. FaceTime is accessed by selecting a contact in the Contacts app, and then selecting FaceTime. The same can be done from the Contacts tab in the Phone app.

Yes. It will reset your Home screen layouts.
If the App store is hidden by Restrictions, it will not be enabled by Reset Home screen layout.
You need to re-enable Installing Apps in General > Restrictions.

  • I accidentally deleted launch pad icon, how can I reinstall it?

I accidentally deleted the launch pad icon from the bottom menu bar when I downloaded a game. How can I put it back in?

Go to Finder>Applications and then click on LaunchPad. It then should go to the Dock. The Dock is the row of App icons usually at the bottom of the screen.
Then right click on the LauchPad icon and go to Options and select Keep in Dock

How can I lock a message against accidental deletion?

The safest way is to not use the Inbox for long term storage. Make folders for your important and keeper messages and move them out of the Inbox and into those folders. This also keeps your Inbox for the purpose it was designed for.

I have just selected all my desktop icons and accidentally deleted them.  This included my external hard drive with 22,000 photos in iPhoto.  I cannot open iPhoto now.  Can someone help please?

What is the file system of that external HD? is it MacOS Extended (Journaled)?
Which iPhoto version do you have?
If you directly select the iPhoto Library in the Finder and use "File > Get Info", does the library still show as "Kind: iPhoto Library" and is the file size correct for 22000 Photos?
If the library does no longer have the correct size, restore it from your backup.
But if the library has the correct size, try to open it directly by clicking it. This should work, if your iPhoto version is iPhoto '11.

  • My daughter accidentally deleted my Pages icon & program from my Macbook while she was downloading free fonts. Now I can't create documents. How do I get it back?

My daughter accidentally deleted my Pages program and icon from my toolbar while downloading free fonts off the internet. Now I can't create documents! How can I get it back?

Go to the little magnifying glass at the upper right of your screen, click and type in Pages.  It will likely show up under top hit, and also under applications.  Click on it.  When Pages is running the icon will appear in your doc again.  Control-click on the icon, choose options from the pop-up menu and choose Keep in Dock.
Now your Pages icon should be permanently back in the dock for you.

First, swipe your home screen to the left so you see the white search field top of the iPhone window. Type in:  Phone
If it doesn't appear in the results field, connect your iPhone to your computer, launch iTunes. Right or control click the iPhone under Devices left side of the iTunes window then click Restore.
