WHT Tax setting

Hi,
If you want point please give me the solution for question below:
IMG WHT guide says:
"If you decided on extended withholding tax and activate this procedure, you must migrate your master data and transaction data. You cannot then return to the original withholding tax procedure afterwards."
What this actually mean? Is it possible to assign WHT tax code in transaction FB60 enter vendor invoice? Can I have WHT reduced and posted with VAT when I am entering vendor invoice transaction FB60?
Please help me, I will give good points for good answer.
rgs.Markku

  • WHT tax not displaying in accounting document

    Hi
I am trying to configure Withholding tax for AR process. I have attached the WHT tax type and code in the customer master. I try to create a debit note request, i do not get a popup which shows the WHT from the customer master for us to choose the appropriate WHT after which this reflects in a tab in the Sales order. After this when the billing is done and accounting documents are generated i am not able to see the tax showing up when i click on the icon withholding tax data. I have configured WHT condition type WCOD and assigned the same to the pricing procedure, i am able to see the condition record as statistical in the conditions tab in sales order.
    Thanks

my [probl;em is solved as i was confuse actually this 164.80  for 1 qty is the total of JMOPJEC1JSEP & for 50 pcs it is 58,240 so i have divided 8240 by 50 hence the total set off for 1 pc is 164.80.

  • IN VENDER MASTER WHICH WHT TAX TYPE AND TAXCODE I WLL ASSIGN

Please tell me  which tax type and tax code i will assign, ie; invoice or payment  wht tax type.
    Regards,
    Amit

    Hi Amit,
Assign the tax type and the tax code to the vendor master for the Invoice category.
For the Payment category, assign only the tax type and not the tax code.
In this case the user have to manually put the tax codes at the time of advance payment.

  • France/Germany Tax set up

    Hi
What list of activity to do for france and germany  tax set up(for FI,SD,MM).
    Thanks in advance

    Hello Sree,
The new taxes are work taxes and only need to be added to infotype 208
for employees that work in these counties.
This will work for you. IT0208 should have only NY, NY07 for an example.
Table T5UTZ and T5UTD are Delivery Class C tables, which means that SAP
only delivers the data in client 000 and it is up to the customer to
the data to the non-zero client if they desire.
You need to cassade the data from client 000 to the non-zero client.
To cascade these type of tables in your system, you can use transaction
SM30 to compare and adjust the entries as needed. Please reference the
the end of SAP Note No. 363453 - "DOC: TUB Transport, Consulting Note"
for how it is done with TUBS.

  • OAB - Pre or Post tax set up

We are implementing OAB (from OSB). In OSB we have the pre and post tax elections done at the plan level -
    For example, select:
Plan - Dental Plan Pre Tax
    Option - Employee
In OAB we are considering setting pre and post tax at the option level -
    For example, select:
    Plan - Dental Plan
    Option - Employee Pre Tax
Is there a difference between the two and does it matter which route we choose? I assume the only difference would be what the employee would see in self service (with the first way they see more plans and fewer options and with the second way they see less plans and more options). Or are we missing something?
Curious to know how others have their plans and options set up.

I'm not familiar with US Payroll, but if you look at the Model WTs for Country Code 10 (in V_512W_D) you should be able to find WT Models BA31, BE31, BP31, BR31, BT40 and M730 (I may have missed some).  Pre-Tax and Post-Tax setting could be Processing Class 65, but you should check the online documentation (help.sap.com or scn.sap.com/wiki) to confirm.
The IRS should be the source of information regarding US 401K plans, but you can also find information on Wikipedia (and elsewhere on the web).
As for where to do the configuration and which Infotype to maintain, I would presume that it depends on the Company's 401K Plan (Employee Deduction only or Employee+Employer Contributions), who manages it, and so on.
As I mentioned in your initial thread, please start by reading a little on the subject, such as
Saving Plans - ERP Human Capital Management - SCN Wiki

  • Tax setting in Extended Classic Scenario

I am using SRM 5.5, ECS, ECC 6.0, VERTEX for Tax in ECC (Tax calculation occurs in the backend) and completed the following config steps
    1) Set the default to "Tax Calculation occurs in the backend"
    2) Entered the same tax codes as in backend (I0, I1 and U1)
    3) Even maintained the “Assign EBP Tax code to FI system"
    4) Completed all the tax settings in ECC
If I create a PO directly in ECC, its calculating the taxes. The problem I see is sending the tax code in the PO to ECC, I am getting the following errors if I select I1 or U1 as tax code in the line item of the SC
"Jurisdiction code could not be determined”
    "Not possible to calculate tax”
Please give me any ideas to fix this.
    Thanks in Advance,

  • Classic withholding tax set-up

    Hi Gurus,
I need your help in configuring the 1042 withholding set-up using classic withholding. Our requireemnt is to withhold tax amounts at the time of payment and the tax rate depends on if there is any treaty between the US and the country where vendor is located. if there is no treaty, the tax rate will be 30%. There are different countries where vendors are located.
I have defined tax codes with tax rates as 5%, 10%, and 30% for the US in classic witholding. I have also assigned a tax GL account to post the tax amount. When I post an invoice and make payment, the amount gets posted to the tax account but I cannot print the tax certificate using report S_P00_07000134. I am not very clear on if my configuration is correct. can someone please help me with the following questions:
    1. Do I need to define tax codes for each country where vendors are located? My set-up only has such codes for the US.
    2. Do I need to define any formulas for tax calculation? At present, I have not defind any formula. I have specified tax rate for each tax code.
    3. What are the steps to configure tax form printing for 1042 forms for the US?
    I really appreciate your help.
    Thanks,
    Best Regards,
    Shalu

    Hi Ram,
Sorry for the late reply with solution.
There is only one TDS tax code (Classic) field is available in Vendor Master.   Please note that multiple tax codes can be entered for different categories in Extended Witholding Tax (EWT).
Please create whatever tax codes you require.   Take the following example:
Your total Invoice amount as 20,000 and the
    cost of parts is 10,000
    cost of services is 10,000
If you have entered other tax code for this Vendor in Vendor Master, you can do the following method.
After entering the Header Text and GR selection, you can move the next field for Withholding TAx & system shows the existing tax code.     Select & Change the tax code at transaction level through F4.  Also enter 10,000 only in the base value then tax calculations are done for 10,000 only based on the selected tax code.
Try this in Dev (if you have) Server if not, please give the results.

  • Withholding tax setting

    Der experts !
I enabled withholding tax management in General Settings and in Item master data. Also I defined  a withholding tax.
When trying to enter a tax, on a AP invoice, the fields 'WTax Liable' displays 'No' and it is unchangeable ('Yes' is no longer avalilable here). How can I do to change this field to 'Yes' such that the amount of tax is displayed on the document footer (field 'WTax Amount')?
Please help me solve this problem.

    Hello Yves Ngom,
Check in the BP Master Data whether for the particular BP U have set the withholding tax and selected the a withholding tax code as default. Further now check under the row level of the invoice for the withholding tax field and select 'Yes' from drop down.
Further Check in G/L Determination under Purchase & Sales Tab.
