Whwn i try to download i am prompted for an installer password which i don't know the hint means nothing ?
when i try to download software it puts a password box up stating setup wants to make changes type your password to allow..
i have no idea what this password is and the hint means nothing
I can't go any further in downloading

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

I used to have my old work e mail address as my Apple ID but have now changed it to my new one, had all of the verification e mails and everything. However, when I try to download or update my apps, my original ID comes up and I can't log in. Can't remember my original passowrd and can't have a reminder sent to the original e mail as it no longer exists..... help!
Any content is tied to the account that you used to buy/download it - so if you created a new account as opposed to updating the existing one, then you will need to use the old account to download updates to its apps. Can you not update your old account so as to have a new email address on it (e.g. via this page) ?

I have just purchased an iphone and I am trying to get facebook on my phone. When I get the app to upload it is asking for my apple password. I put that into the phone and it gives me a message "your apple id has been disabled." Now when I log into apple i have no problem with my apple id or the password. How can I get my phone to read I have a good account with apple?
you need to contact iTunes store support for that, it's possible that they will refer you to an AppleCare Account Security Team
1. Go to expresslane.apple.com
2. select 'itunes' and then 'itunes store' on the right
3. select a topic and a subject
4. click 'continue' and then 'email'
5. fill out the form and explain your situation
6. they will respond within 24 hours usually

Apps are permanently linked to the Apple ID used for download and cannot be transferred to another. You have to use yourdad's ID or redownload under your own so you will the own the apps.

So we have an Exchange 2013 environment, and a CRM solution that requires basic authentication to EWS internally. Problem is, after a reboot of our Exchange server, all of our Outlook clients begin prompting for username and password (which nothing
works) which also starts locking users AD accounts out due to failed login attempts (somehow). If I disabled basic authentication on EWS, Outlook authenticates as normal using NTLM and there are no issues. Once Outlook has authenticated, I can
turn back on basic authentication, and Outlook will be fine until the next time the Exchange server is rebooted.

It’s normal. This caused by the difference between basic authentication and NTML authentication:
Basic, with any version of Outlook prior to 2010, results in a pop up dialog asking for creds. Outlook 2010 makes the 'save this password' actually work, so in an Outlook 2010 or later world, Basic can mean no need to authenticate every time you open/reconnect,
but in all earlier versions, you will have to enter creds every time.
NTLM, when used by a client that is domain joined and logged in with cached creds, results in the client simply sending the cached in creds to the server, resulting in what looks like a pretty seamless single sign on experience. However, if you want to do pre-authentication
at something like TMG, and not let the traffic go all the way to CAS, you need to configure TMG for this.

How can I backup iPhone A to iTunes and then restore into iPhone B without getting prompted for a backup password that I do no know or remember ever setting?
To clarify, I am not trying to read an encrypted backup. I would like to make a NEW backup but I do not want it to be encrypted as I do not know nor remember how a password was set in the 1st place. If I unclick the encryption checkbox, I am prompted to enter the password. Defeats the purpose of clicking on the box, no?

i downloaded songs to my phone at xmas and when i plugged in to my laptop it wiped the phone of new purchases when i try and download them to my computer in itunes via previous purchesses it wont load the list and i keep getting error 10053 can any1 help
Syncing shouldn't trouch you photos unless you have photos in a Photo Library album. These would be photos that were synced to your phone from your computer. If you do have any, you'll need to use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your computer prior to syncing.
If you prefer to backup your camera roll photos prior to syncing, open iTunes and go to Preferences>Devices and check "Prevent...from syncing automatically". Then connect your phone to your computer and import them as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Then, to minimize data loss, follow the steps in this user tip: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141. To follow the steps, first open iTunes and go to View>Show Sidebar. Also, Transfer Purchases is now located in File>Devices. -
When I enter the Apple store up and I Try to download an app up comes a window telling me that I am in the USA store and must change to the Australia Store. I actually live in Australia. How do I change to the Australian Store?

When I try to access my Apple Account, I enter my password correctly, but don't gain access to my account. The prompt screen that asks me to enter my password re appears, I enter the password again, and the Enter Password prompt just re appears. Can someone pls help me with this Groundhog Day? When I try to download a app even for free it says my security code is wrong on my credit card but it is not wrong why is it doing that?
Is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorisations have the correct information on file.
And/or try contacting iTunes support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page -

Can't download songs even though Ipod only 1/2 full
Only 3.7 GB used with 3.6 free space, however, when I try to download more songs, indication is "ipod full". I deleted about 20 songs, and still indicates "full". Tried reset, didn't work. 1.1 GB video,29.0 MB pictures, nothing else.
