My iPod Nano 7th Generation couldn't be detected by iTunes when I plugged in. I tried resolving the issue by uninstalling the iTunes and then install it back again but yet still the same problem exist. Can you please help me to solve this issue? Since you have used an IP in the EM's URL, there can be one more possibility besides this that the EM service has been stopped(as suggested by others already) . It may be a reason that EM service is not up because the IP address has been changed due to a machine reboot. As 9/10 times, the IP addresses are assigned via DHCP on home laptops and desktops, if this IP address is no longer there, the EM service won't be up. But before we shall come to know about this that whether this is indeed the reason, try the command-emctl status dbconsole and if it says, not running EM, emctl start dbconsole. Post the output of the commands.

Hello I have just updated to Mac OS X lion but after updating when I restarted my macbook pro into windows 7 via boot camp I notice that my D:/ drive partition is missing.
More Details:
Before OS x Lion I was using windows 7 on macbook pro that I have installed via boot camp. After windows installation I have create an other partition from boot camp drive but now when I updated OS x lion my windows 7 D drive is missing but windows is restarting and working properly just No D drive (250 GB).

First of all, thank you for reading my thread.
After updating few days ago, I cannot send any email via any acounts. I have .mac email and yahoo email. But I still can receive emails. I have checked message borad, it said "Some members experienced difficulty sending .Mac Mail via computer email applications from 3:30 am to 6 am Pacific Time. Normal service has been restored." But mine hasn't!!! It has been almost a week!!
The erro message says "cannot send email using this mail server, please choose one of the following server and retry again"

Try this:
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Reset All Settings does not delete anything, all it does is take most of the iPad's settings back to default (with the exception of accounts setting, and maybe a couple other things.) It is perfectly safe.
The only inconvenience is that you have to go back through almost all your settings and set them to your preference. -

After Update ITUNES Won't Open, Apparent Quicktime Problem, PLEASE HELP
I Have recently updated my Itunes, after installation of the updates I was unable to access itunes due to a problem with Quicktime. After trying to repair quicktime, with no luck, I have uninstalled (following Apple’s support system). There were two programs labelled “Apple Application Support”, one allowed me to delete and the other older one didn’t delete and came up with the prompts below, so I just installed itunes/quicktime again. The same response happened when trying to open itunes. So I followed Apple’s support system and deleted all I could again. What was left is below, any help would be extremely useful.
In “Uninstall or Change a Program” of windows 7, I was unable to delete Version 1.1.0 which is 32.3 MB installed on the 03/03/2010 of the Apple Application Support.
*When deleting it comes up with a box that says:*

+Click ok to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package ‘appleApplicationSupport.msi’ in the below box.+

I could only follow the path to the “Temp” part …\IXP722.TMP does not exist in that folder.

Download a fresh copy of iTunes and the stand alone version of Quicktime (the one without iTunes)

Remove any references you find to the programs you removed - strictly speaking you only need to worry about those programs where the uninstall failed.
If you don’t see an entry for one of the programs that did not uninstall, look out for blank entries or numeric entries that look like version numbers e.g. 7.x for Quicktime or 1.x for Bonjour.
restart your PC
Install the stand alone Quicktime and check that it works.
If it does, install iTunes.
