Why 'Add to Playlist', 'Show in Playlist' disappeared in right-click manual

As title, I can't find these 2 items when right-clicking on a track after upgrading to iTunes 8.1(50)..
Now I can only drag-and-drop files to my iPod Shuffle under 'Devices' (1st gen)..
What's wrong?
Thz for help.

Works fine for me.

  • "Show In Playlist" shows every playlist folder

I restored my very large library this week (related to my iPod Classic freezing). I dumped the itl file, started iTunes and imported my Library. After this process was done I noticed that when I right-click a song to see what playlists it is in, the pop up displays EVERY playlist folder in my Library. The individual playlists that the song is actually in are also displayed, but this huge list of folders obscures where they are. I am an old hand at iTunes and have never seen this. Coincidentally, when I select any playlist folder in the playlist column it displays a song count equal to my whole library (as opposed to just the count of all the songs in the playlists inside the folder). What happened and how can I fix it?
In the screen shot below, the selected song is in 4 playlists (circled), but all playlist folders are displayed.

    Update:
A day after I posted this, iTunes somehow self-corrected and the display of Playlists went back to normal. I'm glad I documented it for posterity though.

  • Why can't I use menus for bookmarks after right-clicking?

When opening the bookmarks menu (from Menu Bar), and right clicking on a bookmark, all the choices are shown in light grey color, and I can't click anything of it. Why doesn't this work?

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?<br/> ''A troubleshooting mode.''<br />
You can open the Firefox 4.0 SafeMode by holding the '''Shft''' key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut. Or use the Help menu item, click on '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' while Firefox is running. <br />

  • Why there is only "New folder" option when I right click on "Windows\System32" folder ?

    Hi,
someone can explain me why when I right click on some specific folders, I only have the right to create new folder but not to create new document or new text file ?
Is there a way to add more options when I right click on those folders ?
    Thank you

Because there's a DACL that allows to create folders (you are in an
appropriate group allowed to do so), and there's a second DACL that
allows for creating or modifying files (you are NOT in an appropriate
    group to do so).

  • Why does File send link not work? Even right clicking on my mouse doesn't work. Is there a fix for this?

Why can I no longer send links to websites? Clicking File>Send Link doesn't work nor does right clicking on the mouse. Both worked prior to Firefox 6. I also can't send emails to websites that don't spell out their address but instead say "to send an email click here". Everything works fine in Chrome and Safari but not in Firefox.

OK well after first reverting to an older version of firefox to get my right click menu options back I have since discovered one way that works but at a cost.
By using the addon menu-editor it is possible to move the EMAIL LINK button from the file menu to the (Main Context Menu) ie the "right click menu" BUT you will loose the file menu button as there is no way to clone the button and only move a copy. Bunch of clowns that decided to do this I really don't know what they were thinking. Very VERY stupid move.
Here is a link to the only option that works https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/menu-editor/
Can you fellows/chaps <!--buggers--> at least provide a clone and move option in the menu-editor?

  • I used to have task or shortcuts show up when I would right click on the FF Icon on the task bar. After installing 4.0 they are all gone. How do I get these back? or restore them to what they were?

Win 7 task bar has a Fire Fox Icon. Before installing FF 4.0 I could right click on the Icon and it would show short cuts to various sights, which when clicked on would open that sight in FF.
They are all gone now. What happened? Is there a way to get these back?

A few hidden preferences to check to make sure that the jump lists are enabled:
    # Type '''about:config''' into the location bar and press enter
    # Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
    # In the filter box type '''browser.taskbar.lists''' this should bring up a few preferences
    # To enable all parts of the jump list, make sure the following preferences are set to '''true''', if they are not double-click to them to change their value
    ## browser.taskbar.lists.enabled
    ## browser.taskbar.lists.frequent.enabled
    ## browser.taskbar.lists.recent.enabled

  • In "Show more Bookmarks" if I right click does not work (I want to open in a new tab)

This is using Mac Firefox current version. I use lots of tabs and don't have space for all of them so there is a >> at the right end for clicking and displaying the rest of them. If I click and display list and highlight one of them, the right click does not work - I want to open in a new tab not use the existing - there are no menu options displayed on these tabs. The tabs across the top work fine for this

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    * https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
    * Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
    * Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
In Firefox 4 you can use one of these to start in <u>[[Safe mode]]</u>:
    * Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
    * Hold down the Shift key while double clicking the Firefox desktop shortcut (Windows)

  • Why is there no New Tab option when I right click on a tab?

When I right click on a tab there should be a "Open New Tab" option.
Sometimes I have 50 tabs open in a single window and I just want to open a new tab beside the 1st tab. Instead I can only open a new tab at the very end beside the 50th tab.
Please add this feature as IE has this. Thank you.

  • Why is there some "chrome-script" error everytime I right-click to save something?

Same problem as many others have posted, with no solution. Every time I right-click to save something (like a website picture) I get this annoying error about needing to stop some script: "chrome://global/content/contentAreaUtils.js:910"
Then Mozilla either: 1) doesn't respond; or 2) says it's "Solved" when it's not, like here:
    http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forum/1/640519?s=history&as=q
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
    == ...ever I right-click to save something.

    SOLUTION IN BRIEF
I had problems with the chrome://global/content/contentAreaUtils.js:910 script, which I solved by disabling the Add-on Plugin named Google Update 1.2.183.9. In the Tools menu select Add-ons, select Plugins, find Google Update 1.2.183.9, and select Disable. Caution: this may not be the best solution, as disabling an Add-on stops it from doing what it is supposed to do.
    SOLUTION IN DETAIL
    PROBLEMS
A number of people have posted problems relating to the scripts chrome://global/content/contentAreaUtils.js:910 and chrome://global/content/bindings/browser.xml:187
Problems reported include Firefox opening slowly and/or with an "unresponsive script" message, web pages loading slowly, and script errors occurring when trying to save images or download things.
    PREVIOUSLY SUGGESTED SOLUTION
Previous posters on this or other threads have suggested the problem is caused by an Add-on. (Add-ons are found in the Tools menu. There are three kinds: Extensions, Themes, and Plugins.) They suggest following [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]] to identify the particular Add-on that is causing the problem, and to update it (if it is out of date) or to disable it.
However, [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] directs you to identify the offending Extension or Theme randomly, sorting through them one by one until you find the offender. This can be time consuming if you have a lot of them. [[Troubleshooting plugins]] better suggests to start by honing in on a particular suspect Add-on.
    SUGGESTED SOLUTION: SUSPECT GOOGLE ADD-ONS
I noted that both scripts people report problems with start with "chrome,” so I suspected the problem Add-On would be from Google and have something to do with their Chrome browser. Using the Tools menu I looked through my Add-Ons and found only two related to Google. One was downloaded after the problems started so I ignored it. The other is the Plugin named Google Update 1.2.183.29.
I tried to update it via Find Updates in the Add-ons window. This launched Mozilla Plugin Check, which lists Google Update 1.2.183.9 as “Unable to Detect Plugin Version.” Clicking “Research” did not yield any easy to find information about a newer version, so I chose to Disable the update entirely via the Add-ons window. Firefox now runs fine.
Note that disabling an Add-on will stop if from doing what it is supposed to do. I do not know what Google Update 1.2.183.9 does and could not readily find anything definitive about it in the Research results, although one person said, “There are several parts of Firefox which are updated by Google. One is the security ‘blacklist’ for spoofed sites and another is the Google Search in the navigation bar. The update may be for something else. Look in your about:config file and see if there's something added over and above the search and security. Might not hurt to see what the Google update plugin is linked to.”

  • Taskbar icon disappears when right clicking

    Hi,
at the moment I am struggling with deploying sequenced applications on Windows 2008R2 XenApp 6.5 Terminalservers. We are using App-V Sequencer/ Client App-V 5.0 SP2 HF4 with the App-V management server.
We have sequenced around about 10 app-v applications. The applications are working fine except one specific problem:
If anyone is right clicking the opened application on the Windows taskbar, the icon of the application is disappearing and turns into a completely white icon. This problem occurs, if we start directly the executable from the Windows Explorer or creating an
manual shortcut. The problem occurs with all 10 deployed applications.
If I enable shortcuts on the App-V servers, the problem is solved for the most applications. So if I start the application by clicking on the published icon in the start menu, the icon stays with an right click.
If I have enabled the shortcuts on the App-V server, I can also open the exe-file in the Windows Explorer and it works all fine.
Additional I have several applications, where the problem occurs, even if I have enabled the shortcuts.
I sequenced the applications several times (also with no exculsions or deleting anything in the package), I think its an general, not an sequencing, problem.
Does anyone has an idea about this strange behaviour?
    Thanks for your help.
    Tobias

I'm on a machine right now with a Sequenced Skype and Sequenced Office. An Outlook icon is in the taskbar, ditto Skype. I can right click without issue. Are you using the default configuration when publishing the applications or a custom?
Did you remove or exclude certain directories from the package e.g. Windows\Installer?
I honestly can't give you an answer as I haven't seen this behavior myself. Are you using anything like RES WorkSpace Manager or AppSense?...sometimes those can interfere with shortcuts

  • Music Playlist shows video playlists - iPod BUG. IS IT JUST ME?

I have the 160GB ipod classic. I have several video playlists set up (to manage music videos, other movies, etc.). When I select "music" from the main menu, then select "playlists" to pull up my music playlists as set up on iTunes, I see all of my video playlists listed and they show "0 SONGS" under the playlist name, obviously because they are not supposed to have songs and only have videos. When I click on the video playlist from this menu, the ipod hangs on a white screen (forever!) until I press menu to return the music playlist menu... Is it just me or is this one of the many continued bugs that the iPod classic still has even after the 1.0.2 software update?
APPLE - PLEASE FIX THIS BUG WITH THE OTHERS AND RELEASE 1.0.3 SOFTWARE ASAP!!!

I did realize that I also have a "music videos" (smart) playlist that shows all music videos. Since these have songs in them, they are listed also...

  • Why has a tv show I downloaded disappeared from Videos when I downloaded another tv show?

I downloaded the 3rd season of Absolutely Fabulous on my iPad 2, having already previously downloaded seasons 1 &amp; 2. However, the 3rd season now appears 3 times in Videos, as does season 2, and season 1 has disappeared along with another tv show that was previously in Videos.
I removed season 3, and all my shows then returned to Videos as they were before. I re-installed Season 3 and the same thing has happened again!
    Anyone else had this problem?

The circle with square is the download status indicator. It should disappear after the show has completley downloaded onto the iPad.
Try closing the videos app and reset the iPad, then go back to the Videos App and see if the shows are working. If the cloud icon still shows, try tapping them again in order to download the shows.
In order to close the videos app, drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
