Why all recived files in by bluetooth or ifrrared ...

when we receive any file by bluetooth or infrared that file saves in inbox. and then we open it as a message and then save it to phone or memory card.
is there any option in nokia N73 by which we can receive the file directly in phone memory or memory card.
actually i receive a .rar file in my N73 . it is recieved in inbox and when i open it in inbox a error appears "unknown file format" so tell me without opening this .rar file how can i save this or move this to any other folder.

The file is sent as a MESSAGE and hence it comes in the Inbox.
BTW.. .rar can not be recognised by your phone's operating system.. What you need to do is first unrar it on a PC and then send the actual File...

Why All Podcasts Files Are Included In The Music Playlist????

I am desperate for an answer!!! I have searched online for hours and could not find a solution to this! I have the 5th Generation iPod and everything was fine in the beginning. I recently discovered all my podcast files are listed in the music playlist and this is very annoying because the podcasts are included in the library of songs! When I want to listen to songs, I just wanna listen to songs ... NOT PODCASTS! Why can't the iPod differentiate a podcast file with a music file? They lump them altogether in the music playlist!!!! Under the Podcast category, I found podcasts there also! Which means, the podcasts files are duplicates!!!
In a summary, this is what's happening:
1.) Podcast files are grouped in Podcasts playlist in iTunes. Music library does not show them - this is ok, everything's normal here
2.) Podcast files are listed in Podcast playlist in iPod - this is ok, as it should be
3.) Podcast files are listed in Music playlist in iPod - WHY????
I would appreciate some answers to this bizarre problem!!!

well.....to get the podcasts out of the artists menu (if you don't mind them in the compilations menu) you have to go to the podcast's info and press "yes" for compilations. I hope that helps some of you because that isn't really my problem. Because i have a lot of podcasts there is a long list of them in the songs menu and that makes me angry. I wonder if Apple can make an update so that you can choose to have your podcasts in the Artists and Songs menus. If any Apple worker sees this, please do.
I also have been looking in the internet for answers to this and i have found that the only reason that this is useful if you want to hear a series of podcasts without having to choose a single one every single time.
I don't know if i read this here, but whoever said that iPods aren't perfect because of this flaw, then they are wrongs. How come they are rightly grouped in iTunes?
I forgot to mention this. The solution posted doesn't work because:
1. I erase all the podcast from iTunes and only keep them in my iPod.
2. I had to erase all my songs from iTunes because i had to format my computer. Yes, it was stupid because i could have backed them up, but i forgot.
3. When you sync something, you erase everything you have right now. It would take too long to download all the podcast and too much money to buy all the songs.

Why all RAW files open as 0.1MP images

Help! Suddenly All Canon RAW files shown as small 0.1 MP images in ACR 8.3 on Mac OS 10.9 (rather than their normal 20 megapixel size). Even ones that I successfully edited before. This does not occure on my iMac running the same OS and using the same version of Photoshop/Bridge and ACR 8.3. It's like it is only see the embedded thumbnail image.

It's likely that you've inadvertently changed the Adobe Default Develop settings (which can be applied for specific cameras only). To check, take one of these "B&W" images into the develop module, press and hold the Shift key and the reset button at bottom right will change to "Reset (Adobe)"....click on it and the image should revert to colour. If it does, yes you've changed the default settings. To fix, go to Develop>Set Default Settings, then click on Restore Adobe Default Settings.

I have a lot of pictures on my Ipod. But since i'm coming back from holidays, my ipod doesn't work anymore ! I still can use it and listen to music, but when i plug it, windows ask me to format it, and itunes doesn't recognize it...
I wanted to use iPod updater for updating the firmware without deleting the files, but... iPod updater can't "update", and cn only "restore"... i can't also see the name of the ipod (i have a n/d), and i can't see neither the capacity. I can only see the firmware version, and serial number. But everything about storage seems like dead.
I don't understand why, all my files should be always on it, because i can still listen to all the songs...
My files are important because it's lot of photos of my travels, and i didn't put them on another storage device so... i really don't want to loose them, i must avoid to use the "restore" function.
Is there a way ?

I can't access the ipod through Windows. As i said before, doesn't work anymore !
Getright ? But Getright seems to be a download application, not a recovery program... and i don't think the Ipod need to be recovered, because i'm still able to listen to music on it, but i can't manage it using Windows neither Itunes. Seems to be a problem on the "link" (software link?) between the ipod harddisk and the computer...

Cant send or recive files via bluetooth

not sure why...on my phone it says waiting for reciver to accept (your something) and when i click accept on my laptop nothing happens and it closes.
when i try to send one from my laptop it just says cannot validate device.

That's because file transfer by bluetooth is not supported by the iPhone. These are the only supported bluetooth profiles:

Why do certain Pages and Numbers files not appear in All My Files

I don't know if this is associated with Yosemite or not. But some time ago, I noticed files I use a lot no longer show up in All My Files in Finder. Whenever I want to open them I have to find them in Finder because they are no longer showing up as a recent file.
Any ideas why? I can't find any settings that seem to influence this.

Recent builds of iTunes seem to have an occasional problem where the main music section doesn't always list all the music that has been added to the library. Create a smart playlist with the name of one of the albums and you should find that the media is actually present. Often adding some more media seems to fix things. Downloading the iTunes Free Single of the Week has a good success rate.
Alternatively you could try closing iTunes, then removing the hidden file sentinel from inside the main iTunes folder and restarting. This will cause iTunes to run a consistency check on the database which should sort out any anomalies.
BTW I had a clue from another thread that the "missing" tracks might be listed in the Unknown Artist/Unknown Album area at the bottom of the listings. Would you mind taking a look to see if you see the same?

App icns files showing in All My Files - why?

For some reason .icns files within applications are showing in the All My Files view (under Images).
Any idea why this is happening and how I stop them from showing?

Solved it. I downloaded Apple's Icon Composer tool that allows you to open .icns files and just opened and saved each .icns file. The files then stopped showing in All My Files. Odd.

Why are all jar files not compressed in the JRE installer?

I used 7zip to unpack jre-6u12-windows-i586-p.exe (Oracle JRE Installer). On unpacking, I got a core.zip, a zipper.exe and a few other files.
Again on exploding core.zip I found a few things. core.zip contains all the jar files just like it would be after installation except for 7 jar files.

localedata.jar
plugin.jar
rt.jar
Instead of these jar files there exists the corresponding packfiles
charsets.pack
deploy.pack
javaws.pack
jsse.pack
localedata.pack
plugin.pack
rt.pack
I think these are files created by pack200.exe & unpack200.exe is run on them after installation to create the corresponding jar files.
So now I have a few questions
Why are only these 7 files run through pack200.exe. I assume its because they are bigger than other files. But it wouldn't take that much effort to pack all jar files & unpack them after installation.
The .pack extension suggests that these are packed but not gzipped. Again why would Oracle not do a gzip also? for eg with rt.jar packing reduces size from 45 MB to 12 MB, while adding gzip also reduces it to 6 MB.

Whatever the truth of all this may be, you won't find it here. This is a user to user forum, not Oracle support or a channel to the developers. All you will get here at best is valid post hoc reasoning: at worst, guesswork. And if you're trying to bring this issue to Oracle's attention, again this isn't the place to do it. Lux Larson I am sorry but there is not currently an option to selectively sync files. Are any types of modifications or updates being made to the files? Have you closed any third party applications or utilities which could be modifying the files and affecting the sync behavior?

Nope, you don't understand it.
If you download a song from the iTunes cloud storage (which is not iCloud) it goes into the iTunes music folder (generally to a subfolder therein)
If you download a document from the iCloud drive it will go wherever you chose to put it.
If you download a photo from the iCloud Photo library it will also go wherever you choose to put it.*
If you move something you have not copied it, if you want to keep a copy on the iCloud drive and in a local folder, you would copy, not move it.
There is no 'automatic' movement, you decide what to store on the iCloud drive (exactly like any other drive) and what to remove.
The iCloud drive appears as a folder in Finder, you use it just like any other, copy/paste, save, delete etc.
You can turn the iCloud drive off whenever you like, download the content to a local drive first.
* Because the iCloud drive appears as a folder in Finder there is in fact no need to ever download anything to your Mac, everything on the drive is already on your Mac.

Thanks everyone...the problem seem to be with the battery itself. I've had this phone for about 6 months. Up until a few days ago I had no problems...charge would last for up to 2 days. All of a sudden it draining like crazy. I ran batter doctor and closed everything that could drain the batter. Still no luck. Battery drained 3% in less then 10 minutes.
I've contacted our local Verizon store and they will take care of the problem.
I appreciate everyone's suggestions.

Why does Aperture not support all DNG files?

I have a Leica D-LUX 2 and an Epson RD-1. Both of these cameras create RAW files which are not supported by Apple. Why should the files, when converted to DNG, still require RAW support to be utilized. I understand the wrapper concept, but is this not the idea of DNG. What about cameras that create a DNG file, rather than RAW (i.e. the new Leica M8).

Hi Kenneth,
You're missing the point Karl is making. RAW data is (in essence) proprietary to the camera. All DNG does is essentially encapsulate that proprietary data in a standard format. The data is still proprietary whether DNG or RAW.
By proprietary I mean that the sensor array and sensitivity to light, tonal correction across the gamut all are understood by the camera manufacturer and held as parameters (data) in the RAW or DNG file. It requires specific knowledge to interpret this data into a renderable image. Until such time as camera manufacturers agree that 1 = 1 and 2 = 2, we are stuck with this issue (and ALL our concern of x years from now when nobody supports what is our latest and greatest camera). An API included in Aperture (actually OS X) would at least allow camera manufacturers to write their RAW conversion algorithms and take Apple out of the loop.... as well as take dependence on OS X releases out of the loop too!

Thanks for taking the time. Unfortunately no that does not solve it. Same as swipe it will get me there and it will show separate programs spaced out. The issue I am having is that all my open word files are bunched up in a pile on top of each other. I can see the edges of each one but I want them to be separated from each other enough that I can visually identify what file is what.
