Why am I being timed out of many addresses I type in including my email address as I write this???

I'm being timed out of 75% of the addresses I try to go to and it seems to get worse as time goes on. I downloaded LavaSoft/Adaware just a day or so ago after my grandson deleted it inadvertantly. I also reset Firefox a couple of weeks ago due to the problem. Now it seems to be getting worse. Where do I go from here??
I'm not well versed in setting up the background details of Firefox, let alone anything else, and suspect my problem may be in the background of Firefox. I'm just not computer literate enough to trouble shoot this damn thing... Please help as this is getting very annoying... And I need access to my email in order to conduct my personal business.
I'm also having problems with my email website IceWarp web client. It tells me that my IP address has changed - in the middle of composing or reading a lengthy email - and then I lose everything I've done to that point and have to start over as it does not allow me to save what I've done.

Hi Ken, I can't tell from your replies whether you've tried the above the suggestions.
As the next diagnostic step, please create a new Firefox profile. It will have your system-installed plugins (e.g., Flash), but no themes, extensions, or other customizations. It also should have completely fresh settings databases and a fresh cache folder. It will be like a new installation of Firefox. You can return to your regular profile after the test, so don't panic when you don't see your bookmarks.
Exit Firefox and start up in the Profile Manager using Start > Run:
firefox.exe -P
Any time you want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog.
When creating a new profile, I recommend using the default location suggested, and to avoid data loss, not re-using any existing folder. Before deleting unneeded profiles, I suggest making a backup first in case something were to go wrong.
Does your email work normally in the new profile?

Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me with a fresh reinstall of OS X on a MacBook Pro. My HDD died, so I installed a new SSD. The physical installation went fine. I booted into Internet Recovery by holding Option to get to the boot menu. From there, I used the Disk Utility to create a partition on the SSD, and I verified the disk. Everything was fine. Then, from Internet Recovery, I am attempting to reinstall OS X. This is where the problem happens.
While installing OS X, I keep the log open so I can see what's happening. The log shows that chunks are being downloaded. Most recently, I got to chunk 140 before the download fails. I get an error that says the connection timed out. I thought this was because the computer was sleeping and disrupting the download, so I repaired the disk back in Disk Utility and tried again, but this time, I ran the reinstall program from the terminal so that I could also use a terminal window to run the following command that would prevent the computer from sleeping:
pmset noidle
This command worked and it did stop the computer from sleeping, but it did not prevent the connection from timing out and I got the same error.
Does anyone know either what I'm doing wrong or a better way to go about reinstalling OS X? I have two old OS X Installation DVDs, but I couldn't get either of them to boot up successfully from the boot menu. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Why is my website timing out when I try to upload via Muse FTP?

I have converted a two-year old Muse site to 2014 and am trying to upload it to in browser editing. The site has over 30 links to articles, which are .pdf documents, which are in the asset folder. It is timing out at around 81 percent in the asset folder. I have no problem uploading this through Filezilla. I decided to try to get around this by uploading the assets to a directory in my own website and then linking to them on the website. This time the site uploaded, but the links did not work. since this is an active site and it does not need to be down, I changed the links back to the asset and reuploaded on Filezilla, but now the site I uploaded through Muse is, for some reason, unable to be written over. I compressed the .pdf files in Acrobat and tried again to upload through Muse and it times out. Now the website is down, at least the links to the articles dont work. Obviously the Muse upload has made it not possible for me to write over the upload in Filezilla, but it wont let me upload the entire site. My upload speed is excellent.

You have to get the "RPC Client Access" log file in your CAS server. There you can see a column called "client-mode" and it has two modes such
as "classic" and "cached". From there you can get the two different client assess modes and their corresponding users.
probably take this file openup on excel and filter to see the two modes

Report timing out, "Too many records"

I am using CR XIR2 with a univers that I created to run an inverntory report. The report works fine in the designer but when I go to run it from the CR Server It times out. (Very quickly). If I put filters and only pull a subset of the data the report works fine. This issue is there should not be too many records. Where can I check to make sure that there are no limitations set and I can get all of the records? I have set the parameters for the Universe to no limit records or time to execute. Is there any place else I can check? or any other ideas?

What viewer do you use?
If the viewer is ADHTML, you are using the RAS (Report Application Server). In that case, you need to set the number of (db) records to read in the RAS properties on the CMC.
If the viewer is DHTML, Java or ActiveX, you are using the CR Page Server. You will need to set the number of db records to read in the Cryatal Reports Page Server properties on the CMC.

Outlook Express timing out when many users connecting

I have a 10.5 xserve running imap for a company with many locations across the US. At many of these locations that have 5 or 6 people - the last person to open Outlook Express cannot connect to imap. It times out. There is no error on the server in any of the logs - it just never connects. If you close one of the other users out at that location then the previous machine starts working. It's almost like there are too many connections from the 1 ip of that location and cyrus starts denying more. It is becoming a problem.
Is Outlook Express opening way too many imap connections per user? Would Outlook be better? Is there a way to tell cyrus to allow more connections? (Currently in serveradmin I have no limit set)

I neglected to mention I'm running FF 24.0 on a Mac 10.9 Mavericks system. There was not a Tools -> Options choice on the menu, but I did find it on the Preferences panel, on the Advanced tab (see image 1).
I made the auto-detect selection as you advised and restarted FF. After navigating to a video I once again received the error message (see image 2).
So either I did something wrong (possible but I don't think so; I double-checked the setting after the restart and it is set to auto detect) or the problem lay elsewhere.
Anything else come to mind?

Did you ever get an answer to this? My phone started saying this over six months ago..it says it has never been backed up and icloud doesn't have enough storage. These alerts are sqlnet log messages getting logged into you 11g alert log file, You may disable such alert as it is client specific timeout messages
In listener.ora ..
