Why am I constantly being asked to enter my password?

All of a sudden I am being asked to enter my password every few hours. Various applications are asking for it ... Safar, iCloud something or other, calendar agent ... it's getting really annoying and I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to STOP IT.
It began after I setup my new iMac and transferred all my info from my "old" iMac. the old one is still being used and IT'S doing it now as well.
help!

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. You might try using Keychain First Aid to detect and repair any issues with your keychain that may be causing this (this article applies to most versions of the OS including Mavericks):

Hey there,
My hard drive recently hit the three year mark and died on me so I replaced it and reinstalled OS X and all my software. Before this happened, I could click the "keep me signed in" checkbox on Yahoo and I would stay signed in most of the time. (I'm using Safari, by the way.)
Now for some reason clicking that box is completely ineffective. I'm sure it's just some Safari setting that was reset but I can't for the life of me figure out what it is. I've tried going through all my Preferences trying to figure it out and nothing seems to work.
It's frustrating, because I don't even close my browser. I'll be in my e-mail, then I'll decide to go to facebook (which stays logged in,) then I'll come back to yahoo, and it's already asking me for my password again. I didn't even close the browser! Although I miss my old settings where even if I did close my browser I could still open it up again and I would still be logged in. I'm not worried about security because I'm the only person who uses this computer and it's a pain in the butt to log in over and over and over and over.
Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks.

Hi and welcome....
From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences - Autofill. Make sure user names and passwords is selected.
Now quit Safari (Comman + Q) Open the Keychain Access app (Applications/Utilities) Select Passwords on the left.
Delete the Yahoo keychain.
Relaunch Safari. Login to Yahoo as usual with your user name and password. You will be prompted to save that data, click Yes.
If you still have problems logging into Yahoo, quit Safari then delete the "Safari Forms Autofill" keychain (Keychain Access again).
Relaunch Safari and login to Yahoo.
And go to Safari / Preferences - Security. Click: Show Cookies. Remove all Yahoo related cookies.

Constantly being asked to enter my iCloud password, every 5 minutes or so.

Hey everyone.
I have an iPhone 6 and I am getting that error where im constantly being asked to enter my iCloud password every 5 to 10 minutes, regardless of what im doing.
I've just updated to the latest 8.2 hoping it would fix the issue but it hasn't
Apart from it being quite annoying, as of yesterday, I can no longer connect to my family group, or backup my phone to iCloud.
It has gone from a mere nuisance to not being able to use some key features of my phone.
I've tried restarting, and even changed my iCloud password to no avail.
Does anyone have any insight on this?

No it won't completely wipe your phone. You can verify that your iCloud information is up to date by going to iCloud.com and checking Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, etc. These are updated by being pushed between iCloud and the devices signed onto the same iCloud account. The backup is there in case you have to restore you device for some reason.
But simply signing out of and then back in again to iCloud will not erase anything - you would only have to do a restore if your device failed in some way or went into Recovery mode. Just make sure your photos in the Photo Stream that are over 30 days old are also in your Camera Roll, or have been imported to a computer (or if you are using iCloud Photo Beta, make sure they are there).
You can also do a manual backup to iTunes on the computer you sync with if you wish.
Other than that, everything you see in iCloud.com will be pushed back to your device when you sign on again.

From your post I understand that you have recently changed your Apple ID password, and since then have been getting repeatedly prompted to enter in your password on the iPad. I'd like you to first sign out of iCloud, and then sign back in with your new information.
On your iOS device: Go to Settings > iCloud, then at the bottom of the screen, tap Sign Out (Delete Account in iOS 7 and earlier).

I now understand the reason behind the green lock icon, it is for a extra level of security with sensitive sites, which this particular site is.<br />
Having said that, if I follow the instructions, and "temporarily remove autocomplete=off", when I load the site in the future, is the situation going to be: when I load the site it will automatically have already loaded my user and password, so I don't have to do that function? If so, I really don't want that to happen. <br />
With my old computer, when I clicked the bookmark for the site, and entered the site, I just had to click on my user name and firefox entered my user and password. Evidently, firefox remembered those parameters for that site, and all was well. Definitely made that procedure easier. <br />
By doing the procedure in autocomplete=off, will this happen? Or, will the situation be, when I click on the bookmark and load the site, both my user and password will be automatically entered? If that were to occur, I would be giving up too much security for that site. <br />
I just would like my new computer and firefox, to enter that web site (scottrade) like it did before, where all I had to do was click on my user and enter the first character of my user and firefox filled in the of my user and password. Thank you, cor-el.

Why am I constantly being asked to restart??

For the past 4 days, suddenly my computer freezes and a grey box appears that says I need to restart (in several languages) and the power button symbol is embedded in the background of this message. I can't pinpoint specific times when it happens, it just appears. There are a few times when I did power off and when I powered back on, the message appeared before I could even enter my password. Is my PowerBook dying?

The reason is that your kernel is panicking. No this does not mean the machine is dying. It means that either some incompatible hardware is there, some RAM has died, insufficient disk space is allowing the machine to boot, the directory is damaged, or some driver was damaged due to an improper shutdown. Is your data backed up?

It seems as though the last severely iTunes updates have resulted in more annoying problems than they may have been fixing - what gives. With the installation of iTunes 11.1.3.8 whenever I execute iTunes I'm asked to re authorized my Computer. Its really annoying having to reestablish computer authorization every time I start iTunes. I 've also tries starting iTune by "Running as administrator." Anyone have any ideas what’s going on with Apple and or iTunes.

Check your App Store Updates tab to see if you have any incomplete downloads. If you do, see if you can cancel them. If you do not, try signing out of the iTunes & App Store under Settings>iTunes & App Store. Finally, if neither of those work, then try resetting your device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears. Once the reset is complete the Home screen will redisplay. See if that resolves the issue.

No matter how many times I go in and change them again, the SAME pages open up when I start FireFox and I am constantly being asked if I want Yahoo as my start page and default search engine. I click the box 'do not ask me again' and it comes up EVERY TIME. I change things like I don't want history remembered, and when I reload FireFox again, it's back to the way it was BEFORE. EVERY SINGLE TIME. I don't know why this is happening, or how to fix it. What do I do??

I do not want to download another virus program.. I do not believe it is a virus. I am running the full version of Norton 360 and it is doing a daily scan. I have Windows 7, 64 bit OS.

You have to sign out completely in System Preference>iCloud (click 'Sign out') on a Mac, or Settings>iCloud on an iOS device (click 'Delete account' - this will not delete the account from the server). Then sign in with the new password.
Your iCloud data will disappear from your Mac or device when you sign out but will reappear when you sign back in.

If your iPad is signed into an old ID and you are trying to change it, if the old ID is yours, and if it is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

I am constantly being asked to set time and date on my Apple TV 2nd Gen. Has anyone had this problem? I get the screen with this message about 10-15mins after I connect to my home network. I connect, everything works fine, but then streamin, browsing stop and this screen appears. Any help would be appreciated.

This is normal when downloading app or purchasing music, books etc. what are you doing when you are asked for the Apple ID and password?
Perhaps you signed out of your Apple ID in Settings. sign back in.
