This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit)

I do not want to half to install things into my PC that i do not trust! I just want this gone and like i said Firefox should of given us the choice to add this and not forced us, because if there is no actual way to remove it then il be forced to remove Firefox till they either remove it or allow us to remove it!

After apgrading a suggesed firefox download, each time I log onto Mozilla, the following application pops up constantly: (Java Script Application) Type Error:glLTFFObj is undefined. How do I remove this from my pc altogether,as it is most annoying

This type error pops up constantly and when I either click on OK or the red cancel on the top right hand side, it does not make any difference and is constantly there giving me total frustration.
How do I remove this application please?

Do you have the Yahoo toolbar? Other users have reported a similar JavaScript error when loading sites with that toolbar installed. If you have it, you could disable it or perhaps there is an updated version available.
If you don't have that toolbar, it could be one of your other add-ons. If you close Firefox, then start Firefox in Safe Mode, does the problem still occur? For instructions on starting in Safe Mode, see [[Safe Mode]].
Extensions can sometimes be the cause of problems. If the problem does not occur in [[Safe Mode]], then you can disable your extensions one-by-one until you find out which one is causing the problem.

Get rid of Adobe DLM (Download Manager, aka getPlus). It causes problems for a lot of users and you do NOT NEED IT. Right now it is showing in Tools > Add-ons > Extensions. When you go to an Adobe page that gives you a warning and an "Allow" button just below the tabs, if you click that "Allow" button it will download the Adobe DLM and not the product you were trying to download. Adobe DLM is then supposed to download the product. But it just doesn't work, every time, the way it is supposed to.
When you need to update an Adobe product, post back here for detailed instructions and ask how to do so with getting Adobe DLM.

Try the suggested idea above. I just disabled all the add-ons which were not compatible with FF 5 and did a FF restart. That fixed the problem. I then enabled each one, one at a time, with a FF restart until the problem came back. I then disabled that add-on.

If I cancel the error message, FF opens, but then my google search bar will not search & then FF freezes up. I'm using Windows7.

That is a problem with the Forecastfox extension.

It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
