  • I get an access denied error when logging into extension builder 2.1 on Flash Builder 4.6

    I get an access denied error when logging into extension builder. The error is: You are not eligible to use CSIDE1 services due to the Service Eligibility Requirements.. Very frustrating since there is no other option than to read the adobe legal docs.
    Before this started happening I was prompted to put in my birthday (WHO KNOWS WHY ADOBE NEEDS MY BIRTHDAY). I filled it in wrong and now this....
    PLEASE HELP

    Ok this problem is fixed.
    Info for anyone else who faces this problem.
    Apparently when adobe designed the extension builder installer package, they decided to get cute and try to figure out what version of the software, the extension builder package files should be installed into. So if you have FB4, FB4.6, and FB.7 there is no telling where it will go. Also if you try moving these folders somewhere else out of the applications directory, the installer will still find them on the system. I finally figured this out by watching my system log and seeing
    11/22/13 12:13:46.258 AM cp[70909]: Cannot make directory /Applications/Adobe Flash Builder 4.6/Adobe Flash Builder 4.6.app
          Location: /Users/myuser/Downloads/Adobe Flash Builder 4.6-adobegarbage/plugins/com.adobe.cside.ui_2.1.0.201304282312/icons: No such file or directory
    After removing every single instance of places the package installer was trying to use. It finally resolved to the correct FB4.6 location. Why adobe could'nt spend a little extra time add a destination selector in the package installer is beyond me, but hey i only wasted 3 days trying to figure this out.... Sadly it isnt the first time i've wasted copius amounts of time fighting Flashbuilder problems.
    Halligrimur, thank you for your help. It did lead to me solving the problem.

  • Why do I get general access denied trying to update my own field in Active Directory?

    I am trying to update a field pertaining to my own user object in Active Directory using ADSI and C++ app. The operating system
    is Windows Server 2012 Standard.
    I am able to read, I am able to call Put without problems, but when I call SetInfo, it returns with "General access denied". I have
    confirmed that it's my own user object I'm trying to access.
    I obtain my own FQDN like this:
    GetUserNameEx(EXTENDED_NAME_FORMAT::NameFullyQualifiedDN, pszFullyQualifiedDN, &dwFullyQualifiedDN);
    Then I use it like this:
    LPTSTR pszObj = (LPTSTR)LocalAlloc(LPTR, dwMemToAlloc);
    wcscpy_s(pszObj, dwMemToAlloc / sizeof(TCHAR), L"LDAP://");
    wcscat_s(pszObj, dwMemToAlloc / sizeof(TCHAR), pszFullyQualifiedDN);
    I bind to an object like this:
    ADsGetObject(pszObj, IID_IADs, (LPVOID*)&pObject);
    This call succeeds:
    pObject->Get(CComBSTR("Description"), &var);
    This call also succeeds:
    VariantClear(&var);
    V_BSTR(&var) = SysAllocString(L"Some new value");
    V_VT(&var) = VT_BSTR;
    hr = pObject->Put(CComBSTR("Description"), var);
    Trying to commit the above change using the following:
    pObject->SetInfo();
    This is where it fails.
    It returns E_ACCESSDENIED General access denied error.
    As you can see, that is my own user object I am trying to update. To my understanding that is supposed to work provided I am a member of Domain
    Users group. Which I am.
    What could possibly be the problem?

    The problem is that in Windows Server 2012 Domain Controller, permission to write to public (and personal,
    for that matter) properties is not granted to "SELF". The field I am trying to write to belongs to public properties. The only property set a user is able to change for himself in Windows Server 2012, by default, seems to be "Private-Information",
    which consists of ms-PKI-Credential-Roaming-Tokens,ms-PKI-RoamingTimeStamp, ms-PKI-DPAPIMasterKeys, ms-PKI-AccountCredentials
    Why on earth a user doesn't have permission to write to his own personal fields in Windows Server 2012 AD, Microsoft??!?!?!

  • Sql agent job getting file access denied error

    I'm not sure if this question belongs in this forum. Please move it if you want to.
    Here is my question. I have an ssis package that is running into an error at the file system task trying to move a file. The package is deployed to the catalog and I am running the package using the stored procedure
    [SSISDB].[catalog].[start_execution] @execution_id
    When I execute this stored proc in Management Studio while logged in under a sysadmin, everything works fine. But when I call the same TQL in SQL Agent job, I get a file access denied error. This has something to do with the id that is getting used
    to run the package and I am not sure how to track that down. Any help would be appreciated.
    I've check the windows permission on both the id that is running the SQL Agent and SQL SSIS Service. Both seem to have the right windows permission.

  • Why am I getting an access denied message for the fox news website?

    All of a sudden I am getting an "access denied to this server" message when I try to go to the Fox News website.  What's up with that?

    I can tell you what's up with that. If this is the website you are trying to access, it works fine for me.
    http://www.foxnews.com/
    Check this Settings>Safari>Accept Cookies>From visited. Make sure that it checked.
    If it is and you still can't access the site - clear Safari.
    Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Cache. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

    Rave,
    Unfortunately, that's not the case. I am signed in, and my serial number is also registered, but the error continues to come forward. I suppose I ought to provide a bit more background information:
    I recieved my serial number from UC Berkeley, where I am a student. There is an online service which the University uses to provide serial numbers to its students, and I used that and then went to download the file. I couldn't, even after I signed in, so I registered the serial number and – still signed in – made the attempt again.
    I'm not sure what the issue is; but it could be in part due to the fact that I am spending this semester abroad in Berlin, and my IP is therefore in Europe. What's your take?
    Thanks

  • Access Denied error with basic XML file operations

    Hi,
    I'm trying to set up a basic read, write and delete code for XML files which I can build upon in the future. The three methods are bound to three buttons on the page and all three calls are awaited. Here's my code:
    Write:
    XElement uservarnodes = new XElement("uservars",
    new XElement("uservar1", "1"),
    new XElement("uservar2", "2"),
    new XElement("uservar3", "3"),
    new XElement("uservar4", "4"),
    new XElement("uservar5", "5"),
    new XElement("uservar6", "6"),
    new XElement("uservar7", "7"),
    new XElement("uservar8", "8"));
    StorageFolder local = Windows.Storage.ApplicationData.Current.LocalFolder;
    var file = await local.CreateFileAsync("uservarfile.xml", CreationCollisionOption.ReplaceExisting);
    var stream = await file.OpenAsync(Windows.Storage.FileAccessMode.ReadWrite);
    using (var outputStream = stream.GetOutputStreamAt(0))
    DataWriter mydataWriter = new DataWriter(outputStream);
    mydataWriter.WriteString(uservarnodes.ToString());
    await mydataWriter.StoreAsync();
    await outputStream.FlushAsync();
    Read (outputs the data to a textblock):
    StorageFolder local = Windows.Storage.ApplicationData.Current.LocalFolder;
    var file = await local.GetFileAsync("uservarfile.xml");
    string readtext = await Windows.Storage.FileIO.ReadTextAsync(file);
    XElement uservarnodes = XElement.Parse(readtext);
    txtTarget.Text = uservarnodes.ToString();
    Delete:
    StorageFolder local = Windows.Storage.ApplicationData.Current.LocalFolder;
    var file = await local.GetFileAsync("uservarfile.xml");
    await file.DeleteAsync(StorageDeleteOption.PermanentDelete);
    When I tap each of the buttons once it all seems to work. But when I tap any of the buttons again within the same debug session I get an Access denied exception (E_ACCESSDENIED). Other people with this error had to await when calling their method, but I'm
    already doing that: private async void btnWrite_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { await WriteToXMLFile(); }, etc.
    And the intervals between my taps isn't that short that you'd expect that the previously called method still had not finished completing. I don't understand why I'm getting the access denied error.
    Related to my question: I have added XML to the File Type Associations, File Open Picker and File Save Picker in the appxmanifest, but somewhere I read that you do not need to do this if you're working with local app data only. Is this true?

    var stream = await file.OpenAsync(Windows.Storage.FileAccessMode.ReadWrite);
    I think because of your file stream hasn't been closed.
    by the way, it can be easier  by using System.IO.OpenStreamForWriteAsync extension method
    async public static Task<bool> SaveTextFileAsync(string filename, string data)
    byte[] fileBytes = System.Text.Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(data);
    StorageFolder local = Windows.Storage.ApplicationData.Current.LocalFolder;
    var file = await local.CreateFileAsync(filename, CreationCollisionOption.ReplaceExisting);
    try
    using (var s = await file.OpenStreamForWriteAsync())
    s.Write(fileBytes, 0, fileBytes.Length);
    return true;
    catch
    return false;
    (need using System.IO namespace)

  • Access Denied error

    Hi,
    I've just plumbed a new server (running OS X Leopard Server 10.5.3) into the office and I'm getting a weird error that I haven't seen before.
    In ARD, I can find the server in the scanner by looking at its public IP address (the public address is forwarded on to the private address by the firewall). I get the correct name of the machine and version of ARD but I can't log on to the machine to control it.
    The server has been set up as a Standard server out of the box and all users are held within Open Directory. I have been able to log onto the machine whilst physically sat at the machine. Usernames and passwords are correct. Why am I getting the "Access Denied" message?
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Stu

    All traffic was forwarded from the public IP address to the internal IP address correctly by the firewall.
    In the ARD status window, the correct OS, screen state, etc was shown but any attempt to connect resulted in Access Denied. Get behind the firewall and everything works fine. Outside the firewall, problem apparent. Same credentials.
    Using VPN now so not a problem any more. Thanks for the input.

  • Windows 7 time sync returns Access Denied error

    I have recently configured my AD PDC Windows 2008 Server to syncronize with time.windows.com.  I am trying to get my AD Windows 7 Pro clients to sync with the server, however anytime I run w32tm /resync, net stop w32tm or net start w32tm I get an
    Access Denied error on the client.  I have tried it logged in as both the domain admin and the local admin.  For some reason I can start and stop the W32 Time Service from the Services console, but it doesn't resync the time when it restarts.  Why
    am I being denied access when logged in as the domain administrator?

    Hi,
    Did you set any group policy to prevent client from changing the services?
    I suggest you take the ownership of %WINDIR%\System32\W32TM.EXE, disable the security software and firewall on both side to check the result. Also re-configure the
    group policy related to Windows Time Service and re-apply them.
    In addition, I suggest contacting Server Forum to confirm with the issue.

  • Access denied error for Java application on 2630

    Hello!
    I have bought a 2630 recently. Now I have installed a small Java application that tries to store some data in the phones memory. However, each time the application tries to do so, I get a "java.lang.SecurityException Access denied" message and the application states that it could no save its data. I have set the security settings for that particular application so that the phone should ask before each access to the file system. In fact, before I get the error message, the phone asks whether the application may write data to the file system. But still answering that question with "yes" I get the Access denied error message. Now I am puzzled. By the way, the application uses JSR-75 which the 2630 should support.
    Anybody any ideas?
    Regards,
    Volker

    3. there are 2 folders in C:/ predefgallery and predefjava
    4. in predefgallery there are several predefined folders e.g. predefrecordings is one of them
    5. I am able to create file inside predefrecordings, creating file in upper folders is denied
    6. user created folders aro NOT shown at all
    7. I had to manualy confirm reading of data many times and writing data once.
    I hope this can help to other Nokia users since I did not find this anywhere.

  • Access denied error for shared variables in application builder

    I'm trying to use SVs in my app.  I build an exe using app builder.  When I run my VI from the project, it works fine.  When I run from the app exe, I get an access denied error (-2147024891) trying to write a value to a SV.  My SV lib is hosted on my computer (it's a local SVE).  I've disabled autodeploy and my VI calls deploy library on the lvlib file before I try to use it.  What could I be dong wrong?

    Hi knicewar!
    Thank you for posting on the discussion forums!  What are you refering to when you say SVs?  Here is a KnowledgeBase article discussing the same error, although I am not sure it will be a direct application to your VI, since I am unsure what you mean by SV.

  • Access denied error when starting DIAdem from LabVIEW

    We are using the DIAdem Connectivity Toolkit in our application.  Our application starts a DIAdem session to handle querying and datasheet creation.  On a recent installation at a customer, our application was not able to communicate with DIAdem, i.e. we get an Access Denied error when our application tries to start up DIAdem.
    The location of the error is in the DIAdem Open Connection.vi.  I believe it is when the Automation Open is run.
    Is there some system setting that could be blocking communication between the two, i.e. ActiveX setting, etc?  If so, where could we control these settings from?

    Hello Derrick,
    While cBauer is away from the office, I will be working with this case on his behalf.  I will try to answer your questions as best I can to determine what might be causing this failure.
    1. The error which we encounter is an "Access Denied" error (as stated above).  I am currently investigating the error code, and will update this post accordingly when I have it.
    2. Our application is a built (.exe) application using LabVIEW 8.5 and DIAdem 10.2
    3. We do not install the toolkit directly on the customers machine as this is a built application.  We install the FULL LabVIEW 8.5 Runtime engine, as well as a licensed copy of the DIAdem 10.2 Basic edition.
    4. The error occurs in run-time environment at a customer site.  We have been unable to duplicate the error in development.
    5. We're using the "DIAdem Open Connection.vi" from the DIAdem.dll library to initialize the connection (this is the VI which appears to be producing the error via the "Automation Open" node), and we're using the "DIAdem Close Reference.vi" from the same library to close the reference.
    6. I will instrument a simple application which performs these tasks and post the results when we have tried this operation.
    7. I am unsure whether the repair operation has been attempted.  I will verify this behavior and again post the results to this forum.
    Thank you for your help.  Please let me know if you require additional information.  Hopefully we can discover a solution to our problem.

  • Access Denied Error For Shared Folder with Win Server 2008R2 Task Manager Scheduled Task

    Hi,
    I have scheduled a Task with the Task scheduler. It invokes an .EXE file after every 5 min.
    The application is supposed to access some files lying on a different Server's shared path, process them and move them across folders on the Shared path only.
    Problem: When the .EXE gets executed from the Task scheduler, I am getting "Access Denied to the Shared path" error. I have already given Full Control to Everyone as well as to the Account with which the Task has been configured with.
    Another important point to note is, if I run the .EXE manually, the solution is able is able to do everything intended; I don't get any Access Denied error.
    Kindly help me with what needs to be done in order that this issue is resolved. This is really urgent for me.
    Thanks a lot in advance..
    AC

    Hello Alex,
    first of all, make sure your task was correctly create: How to Create Advanced Tasks with the Task
    Scheduler.
    Please, read these:
    TechNet Library Task Security Context
    TechNet Forums post How
    does "Run with the highest privileges" really work in Task Scheduler ? - Look at the answer "...When you want to run a program with admin rights from a standard user account, you have to select "run whether the user is logged
    on or not" and select a user which is member of the admingroup."
    TechNet Forums post
    Log on as batch job right (written on previous post)
    serverfault Task Scheduler is not executing the program
    serverfault
    unable to schedule a task (access denied)
    UAC: Do you receive the User Account Control "Windows need your permission to continue" message to approve the scheduled application ?
    If yes, maybe "Run with highest privileges" option will not take precedence of the UAC. While the Admin Approval Mode for built-in Administrator account is enabled, UAC will still ask for approval according to the settings on the Behavior
    of elevation to prompt for the administrators. Check whether the "User Account Control: Admin Approval Mode for built-in Administrator account" is enabled. If yes, disable it or change the setting on "User Account Control: Behavior
    of elevation to prompt for the administrators" to elevate without prompting.
    Local Computer Policy ---> Computer Configuration ---> Windows Settings ---> Security Settings ---> Local policies ---> Security Options (source: Task
    Scheduler "run with highest privileges": does not work on Windows Server 2008 ?)
    Bye,
