Why am I getting an encoding error after exporting 4:3 to media browser?
It seems that I have completed my iMovie, then exported it to media browser. Once there I work on any them, tried multiple ones in old themes, and newer even trying to keep the aspect ratio at 4:3 ratio. I continue to get an error message called, "Error during rendering/encoding of the menus/slideshows.
I have never had this problem and it is very frustrating!
Can someone help me?
I even tried the straight iMovie to iDVD directly.
Running Mac OSX 10.6.7
I need to finish a wedding slideshow for a friend asap and am having NO luck!

Realy would want to be of help - but I can't see where the problem originates.
I would - just to omitt the obvious
• trash pref files - iMovies and iDVDs
• run - repair permissions
• Start a new - User account and log into this and see if things works better here
• Free space on Start-Up hard disk > 25Gb - I never go under
• Garageband-fix. Start it, Play a note and Close it. Re-try (Corrects an audio problem that hinders iMovie)
• Screen must be set to Million-colors
• Turn off Mac and disconnect Mains/Power for 20-30 minutes - will at least re-set FW-port
• Third party plug-ins that doesn't work OK (not relevant for iMovie’08 or 09 or 11)
• Problems in iPhoto Library can affect iMovie to crash on start-up. Re-build this first then try to re-start iMovie.
This You do by
_ close iPhoto
_ on start up of iPhoto - Keep {cmd and alt-keys down}
_ now select all five options presented
_ WAIT a long long time
• iMovie updated ?
• QuickTime updated ?
• Mac OS version ?
Just to try to pin point the problem.

I regret that you're having trouble setting up your email, corbad! You're on the right track with your incoming email address. You might also try incoming.verizon.net or incoming.yahoo.verizon.net as possible alternatives, and 995 as the port number. Please let me know how that goes!

Why am I getting the message "error connecting to the acrobat..." when I try to open a pdf file from the internet? I have the adobe reader installed on my tablet. This is something that just started happening. I did not have this problem before. I hope that someone can help.

How do I install the lastest Ver? Why do I get a Windows error message?
I have Acrobat Pro 1.1.8. The Help menu command Check for Updates says NO UPDATES AVAILABLE.
A tray message in Windows 7 (32 bit) says to SOLVE A PROBLEM WITH ADOBE ACROBAT... and it takes me to my download page at Adobe where Acrobat Pro versions 11.0.01 through 11.0.05 are listed.
When I try to install any of the newer versions I get an error msg saying "...upgrade patch may update a different version of the program..."
What is the latest Acrobat Pro Version? How do I install it? Why do I get the Window error message?Please try to install the Acrobat update manually from the following page:

Same error message, I disabled tab mix and made sure I only have the newest version of Java, restarted firefox, now it seems to be fine no error yet on Pogo games or pictures upload to ebay which were the biggest problems besides hanging. I had also had disabled AVG secure search yesterday but that did not solve the issue. Now I will try to add back in AVG search...I have very few adds ons, also the note embedded about re- installing a toolbar went away, my old one did not work with FF4, so I installed Yahoo toolbar but the message still did not go away until I applied this fix. Hopes this helps someone..

I go through the process of burning a DVD from a Premier Pro Project and at the end of the process I get an encoding error and the dvd does not start burning. How do I fix this?

Only Office for Mac 2008 and 2011 will run on Mavericks. Microsoft support for the former package ended in April 2013. If you do not want to spend the money, you might download and try the donation-ware (free) LibreOffice Suite. No ribbon bar crap. Supports about any document created on Windows.

when I try to export a photo to my desktop I get the followiing error message "Export Versions Complete with Errors" any ideas why?
Have you tried to export different images as a test to see if it is related to the one you are getting the error on? Also try to export to a different folder other then the Desktop, again to see if the problem is connected to that folder.
Another thing to do is run the Aperture Library First Aid on the library. Hold the option and command keys down while you start Aperture. First run the Permission Repair and see if that helps. If not quit Aperture and restart and run the Library Repair and try.
Post back if you still have problems

On Yahoo Mail...and ONLY Yahoo Mail..I get a 404 error after entering my user name and password. This doesn't happen with IE, just Firefox, and just Yahoo Mail. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling FF; no change. Yahoo was absolutely no help whatsoever; can you solve the mystery? Thanks

thanks so much for your posts back. I really appreciate it and yes that does help to know that you could not get it working.
I did have some success, in removing the SSL Authentication checkbox in the smtp server settings - I found that this allowed my friend to be able to send mail from the mail app via his sbcglobal (yahoo) account.
So that did help but of course the messages do not have ssl encryption and I'm not sure how big a deal that is for an individual. He is able to receive mail but unless the SSL authentication box is unchecked, he cannot send.
i hope that helps anyone out there also!

Try uninstalling Adobe Acrobat using the Adobe cleaner Tool http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
Then, try installing Adobe Reader XI. That should resolve the problem.
