i'm not able to install Photoshop Elements 10 on my new PC. I'm told the serial number is invalid. Why? It has 24 digits separated into 4 digits at a time by hyphens. Am I typing it wrongly?

Now installing on laptop dell win 8, would not accept number. so i decided to install on the win 7 old pc (which has no firewall security because I'm dumping machine) and it worked. You are allowed to have two activated installations. If you happened to have one on this Windows 8 machine before, it is possible that the activation used for it was never deactivated (did you deactivate it before you upgraded Windows?). Talk to Adobe support thru chat. They might be able to resolve this with you:

If it is the first CS version then you will need to check out the following. I believe it applies to CS as well even though it specifies CS2....

This is very frustrating! I can't get my program (CS5 Design standard) to load. I had a computer crash, and I get an "Invalid Serial Number" message every time. If it was an upgrade version, it may be you are being asked for the qualifying product S/N and are entering the new S/N instead. That would cause a problem.

You haven't mentioned which version of PSE. If it is PSE 13, that requires a minimum of windows 7.

There is no serial number for CC Cloud versions. They are authenticated via your Adobe ID.
Sign in to your Cloud account with your Adobe ID and download the software via the Cloud app.

I have no download link or serial number on my order page for Photoshop Elements 12 like I have for previous version.
I asked for upgrading on october 23th, base on the grace period, because I bought PE11 in september, since this I chatted to times with Adobe support about this with only a very little step each time for the problem resolution. But we are now novenber 24th, one month later and I have no serial number and download link on "my adobe" order page.
Chatting is very difficult for non english speaking person. I have no direct email for order resolution where I can take time to answer and ask question.
