Why am I getting eval controls with licensed version of Measurement Studio?

I attempted to use the datasocket 4.0 and UI 7.0 control in Visual Basic 6. Both controls are labeled "Eval", and after 30 days, I got the "controls will work for 5 minutes" message. I have a licensed version of Measurement Studio and cannot understand why the contols are evaluation. I tried the ActiveX License Fixer Utility and no controls show up in ANY pane of the utility.
I have done the following:
1) Uninstalled Measurement Studio
2) unregistered the controls and nids.dll
3) Reinstalled Measurement Studio
4) Installed Measurement Studio on a new PC with no previuos NI software. The same issue occurs

The reason that you are still seeing the evaluation message is that you have not yet installed licensed controls. You have Measurement Studio 7.0, which is for .NET and includes assemblies with UI controls and analysis functions for use with C# and VB.NET. However, since you have the enterprise edition, you should also have a second CD that says "Measurement Studio Enterprise Support for Visual Studio 6.0" and this is the CD that will install the ActiveX controls for use with VB6. Once you run through the install of this CD, you will then have a license copy of the Measurement Studio controls and if you still get the message, then run the license fixer one more time and you will see the appropriate controls. A flashing question mark at boot means no start up drive can be found. Solutions vary based on what OS is installed.
Try the command and r keys held down at restart to see if it enters "recovery" mode. Use the Disk Utility to find out more about the drive.

Not sure. What email are you using? Gmail (or web based email) by chance?
Definitely not a Reader issue if you can see the underscore in your email.
You can try saving it as is then try renaming it using Windows Explorer to see if that works.

I am puzzled with the errors I get when I want to create a Web Service datastore.
Scenario: I have created a SAP Web Service from CRM using SOAMANAGER. The WSDL URL produced by SOAMANAGER is accessibile when pasting the URL directly in Internet Explorer. WSDL URL [http://UXCIQ0M.WDF.SAP.CORP:50076/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/srvc_CBDCB34C89C29304E10000000A4282C0/wsdl11/allinone/ws_policy/document?sap-client=504]
When using the WSDL URL in the Web Service datastore URL field, I get the error An error occurred while importing metadata: WSDLException; faultcode=PARSER_ERROR: Problem parsing: The element type "br" must be terminated by matching tag "/br". (BODI-1111469) (BODI-1112446)
When I save the WSDL defintion in a local file and use a local file path, I get the errors An error occurred while importing metadata: WSDLException (at /wsdl:definitions/wsdl:portype/wsp:Policy): faultcode=INVALID_WSDL: Encountered unexpected element 'Policy. (BODI-1111469) (BODI-1112446)
My questions:
- Why do I get different parsing errors despite the fact that the XML is the same?
- The WSDL is generated by SOAMANAGER. Shouldn't it work directly when integrating with Web Services generated from an SAP environment?
- Is this related to confiurgation issue? I have set the Job Manager to Support adapter, message broker and SNMP communication
- What is the difference between the datastore of type Adapter and the datastore Web Service? In the white paper [http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/20bd5e60-11f9-2b10-2bbb-b5109cceff08?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true] it is mentioned to use the Adapter type to consume a Web Service. It is not clear to me why we have those 2 types.

Some updates on this issue, which might help others in the community.
- Data Service doesn't support ws_policy.
- SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SOAMANAGER generate WDSL with ws_policy. In future releases, it is possible to specify not to use ws_policy
- In most cases, replacing ws_policy with standard in the URL directly, works. It doesn't work with Data Services :(.
- Replacing ALL ws_policy in the XML directly is currently the only way to have the WSDL definition being parsed properly by Data Services.

I have iTunes running on my Windows8 desktop for some while with no problems. Yesterday I purchased a song, deleted a free game app. and upgraded to the most current version of iTunes. This morning I could not pull up iTunes, so I retored my iTunes to a setting two (2) days ago. Now, as soon as I try to start iTunes I get a message stating: This version of iTunes has not been correctly localized for this language. Please run the Enclish version OK. So I hit the OK button and nothing happens. Please help.

Still getting Javascript error with new version of UIX

I'm facing some problem after changing my UIX framework version (2.2.3030829.1626).
Currently I'm using UIX version (2.2.3030829.1626) . Paging with table is not working with new frame work .
It is giving me javacript error "object doesn't support property or method" when clicking 'Next' .
It's working fine with old version.
We had used proper cabo directory. These files are in sync with the version of the runtime
Here is our finding
I found a error in _updateFormActions() function from MarlinCoreb2.js file.
In this function it is giving error at
if(a8!=a6)
a7.action=a6 line (line # 1841,1842). If I comment out this two lines page is
working properly without any javascript error.
This problem is a bit tricky....
Because it seems to be a problem with the UIX framework that only occurs on some versions of the Internet Explorer. On some version (IE 6.0.2600.0000) it works fine
and it also works on the Mozilla Firefox browser.
Can any one advice on the same?

Why do I get error 10080 with SCXI Cal Constants?

I'm trying to calibrate a scxi 1126 with a 1327 terminal block, attached to a 6024E PCI board. 7 of the 8 channels are within spec, but one channel is slightly out. I followed the calibration procedures, but when I went to use the SCXICalConstants.vi, I got the error:
Error -10080 occurred at SCXI Cal Constant
Possible reason(s):
NI-DAQ LV: The gain or gain adjust is invalid.
How do I know which gain is invalid (DAQ, SCXI, TB), and how do I figure out the correct value? I've tried many combinations of what I thought would be valid gains, and I've tried to just read the current calibration constants, all with no success.

I figured it out. Apparently the SCXI gain control needed to be set at a value of 0.02. This corresponds to the frequency range of 250 Hz. Although I'm not sure why this value works where 0.00125, corresponding to 4KHz did not.

Why am I getting a "Problem With Previous Purchase" when I haven't purchased anything?

Sometimes, quite randomly when I open anything on my iPad or iPhone and try to update an app or something of the like, iTunes asks me to verify my billing information. It gives me the reason "There was a problem with a previous purchase." And asks me to enter my security code on my debit card. When I do, even though I have plenty of money in my checking, it tells me I was declined and refuses to let me update anything.
I don't understand where the previous purchase problem is coming from, seeing as I have made no recent purchases.
This happens quite often and after several days of entering it again and again it will randomly work and everything will be back to normal. Later, at random, it will happen again and this whole process will repeat.
Please help me understand why this keeps happening.

Why do i get an "open with" box when i try to start screen saver?

I have an Hp a6120n PC. When I try to install a screen saver, I get a dialog box that says open with and gives a series of suggested programs to use to open the screen saver. The same thing happens when I try to download a program from the internet. What can I do? Also, I would like to wipe my hard drive and start over. Is there some way I can do that? I am not ver computer literate so please try to explain so I can understand. This is my first computer and I bought it from my Daughter so I want to take all her information off of it.

Why do I get a 'memPageLockError' with the ScanStart function?

I am using PCI-6110 and PCI-6111 boards for high speed data acquisition. I am using triggered acquisition into a preallocated buffer using SCAN_Start() and DAQ_Check() functions amongst others. I find that I get a -10447 memPageLockError status returned from SCAN_Start() when the total number of points I request for a total of 4 channels exceeds 33,533,952 points. This is less than half that which SCAN_Start() is supposed to be able to handle (2^24 * number of channels), and through experimenting, I have found that this is actually a different error to that thrown by SCAN_Start() when its limit is exceeded (> 2^24 throws an error code -10010 for 1 channel).
I would like to know where this limit comes from. If I know what it is I can work around it but I am worried that it may be machine dependent. Could somebody please tell me if this is machine dependent or perhaps if this an error which has a patch in a later NI-DAQ version (something mentioned in a related posting but I'm not sure if it applies here).
Details of my system:
OS: Windows 2000 SP4
Programming Language: Borland C++ Builder 5.0
NI-DAQ: 6.9.1f28
RAM: 512MB
(Update to NI-DAQmx not really an option at this point).

assuming you're not multi-threading, I think that Windows is stopping the driver allocating that amount of memory in one go - if you're allocating doubles (so 8x33,533,952 = 268MB (and change) then the OS won't allow that amount of memory to be allocated in one go. (Windows tends to page lock to 64MB)
Why do you need a buffer that big? (I know Scan Start is a finite setup, but I'm wondering about going for a continuous setup instead where a much smaller buffer would be required.)

I had this problem for a long, long time. Today I discovered if I went to Tools, Options, Enable Javascript, Advanced and deselected "Hide the Status Bar" the problem went away.
It is worth a try. Worked for me.

Why do I get this error with hashtables

This is the first time I am using hashtables. I tried to make a simple example using these lines

I thought of different resolution settings, and the 300/72 was an obvious possibility which I checked, but the size ratio of the two images 753/2066 = 1:2.744 or 0.3645:1 did not match the ratio 72/300 = 1:4.167 or 0.24:1, so the artwork must have been at different sizes.
There are so many things on the web, and different ways may suit different folk. Obviously, it is important to know the right terms to search for.

Syncing Notes both over the air and with iTunes can result in duplicate notes appearing in the Notes application. Use the following steps to resolve the issue:
Connect your device and select it in iTunes.
Click the Info pane and deselect the option to Sync Notes.
When prompted, select Delete Notes to remove the duplicates from the device.
If you want to sync notes with iTunes instead of using the over-the-air feature, disable Notes sync for the account using Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars or Settings > iCloud.
