Why am I getting message saying Numbers is Updating?
When I try to open a Numbers doc that I have opened a thousand times, I get an error message saying the doc cannot be opened because Numbers is updating. This happens whether it be an existing doc or trying to create a new one. This has been going on for over a week. What gives?

Just a guess, but do you have automatic updating set to on in System Preferences > App Store? (i.e. you have 'Install app updates' checked; I have it turned off here because I don't like automatic downloads):
If so, perhaps your machine didn't finish the job for some reason. You could try deleting Numbers and redownloading from the App Store again.

I just had a message appear on my iPhone saying that my neighbor's iPhone is now connected to my email and my Cloud account. I have never seen this before. I haven't changed any settings recently, and I was not tethering to any other device or attempting to share anything; just using my phone as usual. Of course, now I'm a little concerned, and confused as to how this is even possible. Has this happened to anyone else before? Is it possible to see if the device is really on my Cloud, and connected to my email?
That shouldn't be possible unless your neighbor knows your iCloud ID and password. Change your iCloud password as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2617. That will prevent anyone else from being able to access your iCloud account without the new password.
After changing it, you'll need to enter the new password on your phone in Settings>iCloud>Account. -
when i try to update iphone 4 i am getting message saying unable to update the firmware file was not compataible .
Any solution to this problemIf the problem is sending to just one address and it has worked in the past, I don't know if this will work. I posted this to another thread yesterday for someone who had the same problem you are having and it worked for them. You can take a look. On the iphone i went Settings>Mail, contacts calanders>choose relevant account (if you have more than 1)> accountname>accountname> scroll down to 'Outgoing Mail server' and click on SMTP >click on your Primary Server >
My #Username and Password were showing 'Optional'. Filled them in with the correct details (email account login) and that fixed problem. -

If you see a dialog telling you the app is not avaiable, then it's not available.
And keep in mind, your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside.

When Trying to update IOS on my ipad I get message saying "network connection could not be Established" Getting real tired of this problem. first couldn't download itunes until I downloaded from non apple website now THIS. When I talked to My ISP they had me go to the settings on the new modem/router they installed and yes this is THEIR fault. NOT APPLE's The DNS was not set correctly. they gave me the numbers to put into the router and guess what all is working correctly. Thank you very much for directing me to the solution to this problem. I have been trying for almost a month to update iTunes (ended up going to a 3rd party web site to update) then I couldn't update the iPad. So very frustrating. Anyway my problem was NOT Apple's and I do apologize to them!

I have an iphone 3g I tried to down load an app for netflix and it said I need to have ISO 5 but my phone has ISO 4.2.1 and when I try to update it on my computer through itunes I get message saying I have current version how or what can I do do to get an app the lets me watch netflix on my iphone 3g .Is there an sulision to my problem? Thank you for your help are you aware of any apps that will work the iso 4.2.1 system that will let you watch movies on the phone. Also I tried to down load something else the other day and got message that Safari wont let you open this is ther any to see if i have the latest safari on my phone?

I know many have this issue but i can't find a solution to the problem. i get message saying insuffisiant disk space in the volume iPhoto library and i have plenty of space available. i have the new macbook pro with retina display. i have never seen this message before and i have 2 other macbooks and have had many other also. i am assuming this is a problem with the new macbook retina. does anyone know the exact fix to this issue? i have seen many sugestions to try to fix this issue but none have solved the issue for anyone that i can find in the Apple Support Community. thank for looking into this in advance.
******A true apple fan********Actually your suggestions are the ones that i have tried. i have seen that you have tried to help others with this issue and the only one that i could find that said they found the problem said that it was an ilife update issue and it fixed it and i have no available updates. i know it has to do with something in photo stream because it happens when i create a new library and it is loading the photos but i get the message before i reach the maximum 1000 photos. so i've tried updating, new library(first backing up photos and then deleting them from iPhoto), reinstalling OSX many times, running disc utilities. I called Apple the first day i had this issue and i was the first person to call them for support with the retina display and i actually had it escalated to a senior advisor and we thought we fixed the problem but we did not. i am pretty fluent in dealing with troubleshooting these type of issues and this is the first time i'm reaching out to the community. i figured now that the retina has been out some time now that there would be an obvious answer to this issue. thanks for the quick reply.

My ipod needs to be restore and I get a error message saying :ipod software update server coud not be contacted.
Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Then tap Settings > General > Software Update
No data is lost due to a reset. -

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

how do you upgrade OS X 10.4.11 tiger to a higher version of operating system such as OS X 10.5.6 as have tried running the upgrade disc on imac 5,1 with intel processor but only get message saying this cannot be installed with no further explanation ?
Retail Leopard disc looks like this;
(The disc itself has the same logo). If the one you've got is grey it simply won't work.
Given the retail and second hand prices of Leopard (usually some on Amazon MP), you'll probably find it cheaper to go directly to Snow Leopard, although there could be software updates and printer driver problems that could nullify the difference. -
Can't open a document I created an hour before with Pages 5.0.1; get message saying my Pages is too old, for me to download 5.0.1
You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Note: Apple has removed over 90 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

Archive/trash Pages 5, after exporting all Pages 5 files to Pages '09 or Word .docx, and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

Why am I getting messages such as "The command Image Size is not currently available whenever I try to run an Action that uses the particular command (and which has always worked fine previously) and when the particular command works fine when used on its own?
I would think that image size would always be available when there is an active document in Photoshop. The only time I remember seeing messages like that where they should work was during the five month period when Adobe released CS6 with so many bugs which took Adobe five months to fix. During those five month messages like that that should not have happen were common when action switch between documents. Adobe would start processing the next Action step before the document switch completed, Any step that required an active document could fail with a mess stating the command is not available.
Are you by some chance using CS6 version 13.0 CS6 without any updates. Use Photoshop menu Help>About Photoshop. If it shows CS6 version 13.0 you need to update CS6. . -
