Why am i having sim card issues

This happened before, but stopped. Now it is back with a vengeance

You have not given any information about your problem. Possibly your SIM is bad, and you will have to Visit Carrier for a new SIM. But before that try Toggling ON and OFF Airplane Mode, obviously leaving it OFF. Try Reset Network Settings, click App Settings>click General>at bottom click Reset>click Reset Network Settings. If this does not work take a Paper Clip open SIM Tray and then slide SIM Tray back in securely. If all fails you could try a Firmware Restore in iTunes. If this fails Visit Carrier.

Ok so I posted about the Sim card and it will not let me reply to the people who posted on my post or reply to my own comment.  Here is the original post:
Droid DNA HTC Sim Card Issues
    Update:
My phone Started the low ringing before I received the new card tray from HTC.  So I went to Verizon and explained the issues and they looked at my account and noticed that I was on my 3rd Sim card.  Wife has the same phone and was having the same issues but on her first SIM card. They replaced both phones... the New SIM card tray arrived and I placed it in my new Replacement phone.... its been 2 weeks and I have not had any SIM card issues..... still Waiting to see what happens if any... no on the other hand my wifes new replacement phone has had SIM card issues with in 4 days.  I will be contacting HTC directly for a new SIM card tray for her phone and here is HTC TECH support # if you would like to get help 1-866-449-8353  Good luck and I hope this clears up problems..... Just remember even though we are all fusterated by our phone problems we still need to go through al the steps to solve the problem before we jump to having VZW just give us a different brand of phone for lemon issues......

why my nano cut sim card doesn't work on iphone 5c?

Cut cards often don't work. Get a real nano SIM from your cell carrier.

  • HT4993 i been having sim card problems with my iphone 5. am i the only one?

i been having sim card problems with my iphone 5. am i the only one?

    Hello,
I'm also had problems with Iphone 5 , it read no sim card, i solved problem by removing sim card and cleaning with alcohol and q-tip and installing back.
    Shut down phone.
On the side of phone , you will see a small pin hole, insert paper clip and sim card will come out, be careful to do it over a clean towel as not to let drop on floor, make sure your hands clean while doing this.
Insert sims card back and turn on, it should work again.
    Good Luck.

  • Thunderbolt SIM card issues??

I was having internet connection issues with my thunderbolt and they sent me out another SIM card and did a master reset. I put the SIM card in restarted it and I turned it back on and it has a pickture of a SIM card with an explanation mark and it wont activate. Whats the problem and how can it be fixed??

Hello ladygaga1! Welcome to the community!
Since it has been several days, I am hoping your issue has been resolved by now. It sounds like your SIM card has not been activated at this time. If you are still having issues, you can activate by going to your My Verizon account, choose Activate or Switch Device under "I Want to..." You will need the IMEI from the device first, and then the SIM card number (both can be found in Settings>About phone>Phone identity) to activate.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

  • Why am i having data dropping issues

I have typical data problems when im in doors but the most biggest problem i have, that i have been having, is when i use my phone as a hotspot, the data will drop and come back and it does it alot....some times i have to turn the hotspot off or turn my phone off and turn it back on trying to resolve the problem but sometimes it fixes but most of the time the problem keeps happening as long as im using my phone as a hotspot...i use it to connect my computer to the internet....I would like to know if the problem can be fixed, is it a hardware problem or is it a program or driver/ something that is effecting the way the radio works on the phone...plus my battery drains pretty quick just using it normal...i really am starting to not like the phone and it is because of this issue, i need it addresses and hopefully i will receive a fix.....samsung galaxy s 3

I will try removing the sim card.....If im using the hotspot and again it goes to doing the same thing as before, i will know that the sim card was not the problem....The battery thing is not so much a problem because i have an extra battery if need to change it...So that is really not such a bad problem....I just know that i can have a good signal with 4g or 3g and it vanishes to nothing, then comes back and then goes away again.   It does this alot of times.  If i turn off the hotspot, the signal will be ok...the problem usually happens when i use hotspot.  I cannot imagine that u have never heard of this problem before, when i see alot of comments concerning this problem.  I have even google online to see if others have the same problem, which i have found out many have the same problem as i am having with the radio part...If i have a good signal area and the signal just vanishes for unknown reasons, then it has nothing to do with a zipcode area, because it happens again in areas with the best signals...it just drops and vanishes, either the 4g or 3g...I think if you research this problem, you will see that there is more that is having this problem than just me...I think it has something to do with the build on this phone, I have not had this problem with any other phones that i have had....Like i said, i will try the sim card. thank you norman

  • Note 4 Sim card issues

I have been having issues with my phone detecting my sim card.  It works fine but randomly has fits where i have to restart my phone because it cant detect my sim card.  Occasionally i will have to do this repeatedly in a row... yesterday i had to restart my phone 17 times and remove/replace the sim card until it finally started working again.
Then occasionally i will lose all service and data until i restart my phone.
Is anyone else having issues like this??

Same here...I've been getting the same message on my Note4.  I've gone as far as removing the sim card, restarting, clearing cache, etc.  Now I have times where I cannot make or receive calls due to this issue.  Were you able to resolve your issue?

  • I got an Australian Iphone 4s which I'll be using in Norway. Why won't my SIM Card validate?

I got an Iphone 4s from Australia to Norway (Northern Europe). My SIM card works, but my Iphone will not validate my SIM card. The cellphone was bought for 400 AUD. No SIM card was in the pack, so I take it it isn't locked. Why won't my Iphone 4s validate? Ask if more information is needed.
In advance, thank you for your help.

    This was purchased second hand?
If so, there wouldn't be a SIM card included with a used iPhone even if the iPhone was sold as carrier locked when new which usually can include a new inactivated SIM card depending on the country.
Did the person you purchased the iPhone from say the iPhone was purchased as officially unlocked when new at the Optus store? Sounds like the answer is no or there wouldn't be a problem.

  • Sim card issues

My galaxy 3 won't read the sim card now but it was working fine s4 is on contract and s3 is prepaid help

We certainly don't want to see you having trouble with your SIM, Renee1939. Both the Galaxy S III and Galaxy S 4 use a Micro SIM and should be able to use the same SIM, but your difficulty may be due to the SIM being used between two different types of services. Please dial 888-294-6804 from a number other than your prepaid phone to work with the Prepay Customer Service Team to get your S III up and running with a prepaid SIM.

  • Lenovo P780 - Sim Card Issue

Hi,  I bought the lenovo P780 2 months back.  Suddenly, It is not able to detect any of my sim cards though the sim cards are active. Cant send any messages, make any calls. Says Emergency calls only.  Please suggest a solution.

Same issue was faced by me 4 months back in Dec'14, as my phone was in warranty hence fixes came free, but now from past month I am again facing the same problem but this time warranty had expired. I observed that both the time there was a screw near SIM which went loose. This is pathetic service and is very disappointing, can anybody guide if there is any way to raise issue with Lenovo.deepak123 wrote:

I know there is multiple Post about this issue!  Here is my latest Info.. I am on my 3rd Sim card same phone.  first card was replaced 10 days after I got the phone.  Second card was replaced 3 days ago. both times I was resetting the phone 4-6 times a day.  Went to the VZW store the were going to have a new phone sent but with my line of work emergency services I needed the Phone working now so I took the 3rd sim card for now and called *611 they have more lateral to work with you.  Talked with tech support and per HTC its the SIM card tray. had a 3 way call with VZW tech support and HTC tech support. They have a new SIM card tray that they are sending out to me instead of replacing the whole phone. They think this is the fix.  We will see.

  • Why am I having bluetooth & wifi issues?

I just purchased a brand new 2012 Mac Mini i7 last week from Microcenter. I immediately installed 16 GB RAM into it and updated it to Yosemite. My magic mouse has been unbearably laggy every single day, and sometimes it disconnects randomly for no reason. I also have bluetooth speakers and a wireless keyboard hooked up too. Today, Wifi dropped every 30 seconds and I had to pull out my old MBP for work. After looking through the other product forums, it's clear that Yosemite is to blame, as this is clearly happening on other devices too. I'm thinking about returning my mac and making the jump to windows/ubuntu just so I don't have to deal with this nonsense every time there's a software update. It feels like snow leopard all over again.

A 2012 Mini is not a new machine, it is a 2 year old machine. But fully capable of running 10.10.
Erase and reinstall Yosemite, check the installation before you put the 3rd party stuff back.
This comment is not helpful. As you can see from my original post, I clearly understand the 2012 mac mini is not a new machine. The purpose of mentioning that I bought it new is to let it be known that it has never been used. There is no "3rd party stuff" in this machine, except RAM, which Apple allows to be installed via making the RAM removable in the first place. It is not the RAM causing these problems. All of the other product forums are having the same issues, I just wanted to get a thread going for 2012 mac mini owners to support the fact that it's a Yosemite issue.
