Why am I having trouble emailing photos?

Having trouble with sharing photos via email on my desktop Imac. Error Message when I try to send: "The email server didn't recognize your username/password combination. Normal email inbox/outbox works fine, error message only comes up when using "Sharing photos".

actually I just did what another user had posted and it helped.
I believe it was iphoto, preferences, accounts, and I verified my email addresses and passwords and that worked!

I am having problems emailing my iphotos directly from iphotos on my Mac pro 10.7.2 Lion. I keep getting a message that says email server does not recognize username/password combination. I checked and rechecked everything. I even emailed from the mail icon to make sure my email was set up correctly and my email was sent with no problem. Please help!

So I read the post concerning the mms pic work around through emails and thought I'd give it a try.
I've gone through pics in iPhone, selected one, use email option and sent to an att number using two different emails.
1st [email protected]
The second attempt was [email protected]
Neither sends, and phone says that items went to an out box which I have not found.
If I check email it says 2 unsent messages, tries to send them and never dose.
So what am I doing wrong?
Also, can't find outbox, I use yahoo.

Thanks, since the post I ve tried to email a pic to myself through the photo email option( to my regular email) and it says it is rejected by server.
So now i believe that it just something wirh my phone photo email option. I cab send emails through the mail option but if i goto photos to send, ut will be rejected.
Hmm I'd do a search but I'm the phones edge right now and would take awhile.

I'm having trouble emailing photos.

When I select multiple photos to send in an email, the system says it's sending them all, but when I go to compose, there are only a few of my photos in the email, and they aren't even the first four (of 19) but random. But they are the same four every time I try. I have made the images smaller, thinking perhaps it just won't take more info than that at once, but that doesn't make any difference - same four photos. I can't find anything that says there's a limit to how many you can send. Also, although it says it's sending them as attachments, I don't see any attachments when the email opens - just the four photos right in the body of the email. The subject line prefills with "19 great iPhotos". Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks so much, Dinah

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
I would guess that there’s a limit of 4 that you can send to your Mail programme at a time. I guess this because I know for a fact that there’s a limit of 4 that yo can send to an external editor, and that process is the same as the one for sending pics to a email. It’s a sensible precaution that prevents you inadvertently sending your entire Library to Mail.
The workaround is to send emails with batches of four.
Also, although it says it's sending them as attachments, I don't see any attachments when the email opens - just the four photos right in the body of the email.
That’s exactly how Mail displays attachments.

What's the origin of this external drive? It sounds very much like it's a Windows-formatted (NTFS) drive which Macs can't write to. If you can, copy the files off the drive, reformat it as Mac format (using Disk Utility) and copy the files back. If you need to continue writing to it from a Windows PC, you should format it ExFAT in Disk Utility.

nothing is getting installed, copied or otherwise loaded onto my computer....first the program starts to load, then it asks for my serial number, then it goes out and seems to check the serial number then it says it can't be installed then it erases everything it just spent 10 minutes loading.
In view of the above and your prior descriptions, have you tried alternative installation files?
If you want to give a look to that approach, please download and install the tryout files for Premiere Elements 9 from the following web site and then insert your purchased serial number into them during installation.
With this route, you need to carefully carry out the web site's "Note: Very Important Instructions" in order to avoid an Access Denied message.

Are you getting any Shared Technologies error message any where in the installation process that is failing?
If you follow the following path, do you find an OOBE Folder?
Local Disk C
Program Files (x86)
Common Files Folder
Adobe
and in the Adobe Folder should be the OOBE Folder which you rename from OOBE to OLDOOBE to disable it.
When you are forced into a roll back for whatever installation has taken place, do you ever see a message about Shared Technologies?
And, whether or not the program installs to any extent, does your computer have the OOBE Folder? If so, then please rename it to disable it before
you try for another 9 install.

If you REALLY want to use the stock Photos (I wouldn't as it has major problems as is also explained both at http://www.iphonelife.com/blog/87/all-one-photo-viewer-roundup-70-price-drop-bes t-image-viewer and in the https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3812013?start=345&tstart=0 thread here - look directly at the first two messages), you need to ceate subfolders in parallel to the original ones. Then, the previously synched pics won't disappear.
But, again, I do NOT recommend using the built-in Photos. Using third-party apps like Photo Manager Pro is the way to go until Apple fix the issues with Photos.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. I'm hvaing trouble emailing photos from within iPhoto. I'm constantly getting this error message. I've checked the accounts and the usernames and passwords are all entered correctly. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

That's been a problem for a number of users lately. Go into iPhoto's Accounts preference pane, delete your email account there and then add it back from scratch. Then try again.
If that fails reset your mail client to Mail in iPhoto's General preference pane and use Mail. Mail has stationary photo templates similar to iPhotos but also saves a sent copy of any emails your send.

Yes, that's correct. If you don't have the songs that are currently on your iPod also in your new iTunes installation, they will be erased from the iPod if you sync it. Best to start afresh by first transferring all the music on your iPod back to your new computer/iTunes library.
For iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.

For all other non purchased content (your own CDs etc), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it is a little more involved than other methods.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Other free programs are Pod Player, SharePod and Floola.
If you want to recover just the structure of playlists from the iPod (and not the actual song files themselves), there's iRepo for Windows. which I understand has this feature along with all the standard features for these programs.
iPodRip also has the feature enabling you to reconstruct playlists.
There is also CopyTrans. This does preserve ratings/playcounts etc if those are important to you but this program is not free. It also supports video transfer.
Once all the music is safely back in your new iTunes library, you can sync your iPod as normal.
