I have items in the store marked purchased not appearing in my library.

If you have purchased items, then you can find them by doing the following:
Open the iTunes Store
Click on Purchased under Quick Links on the right-hand sidebar
Once you get to the Purchased window, select the item type you are looking for (i.e., Music, Movies, TV Shows, App Store, etc.)
If you are selecting the Music tab, click on "All Songs" once the Music window is displayed
Anything that you have purchased that is not currently on your Mac will show with a little cloud that has a down arrow in it
Click on the cloud to download the item to your Mac

Does anyone know why songs I have purchased occassionally go missing and I have to re-download ???? Mystery !

Sometimes I cannot play a song I've previously purchased. It is in my "Songs" list..but won't play. I show it is 'downloaded' in "purchased items" on the Itunes right-link menu....but it is NOT.
Tried 'not on this computer tab' and it does not come up there either....it shows it has been downloaded on my computer. I go back and re-download it, showing it was already purchased anyway....just to get it back in my song inventory.
Any thoughts why songs go missing ?

I wouldn't be so sure. Kids sometimes do things like that. At any rate I'm afraid I don't have a good answer for why files might mysteriously vanish from an HDD. I've never had anything like that happen. However, you should be backing up your personal data to an external HDD, just in case. If you had been backing up all you would have needed to do would be to restore the missing file from the backup instead of trying to jump through all these hoops.
You're using OS X. OS X has Time Machine built in. Use it.

How to recover missing purchased items from my old region???

Before 2 months ago I'm tried to change my region in the Apple Store and I was have a problem it I can not change the area until the reset my balance to 0 and it was I have a balance of 0.40 pounds, I contacted with the technical support at Apple and they told me should reset your balance to 0, but the balance was only 0.40 pounds and I can not buy any product because that amount is too little, So they suggested me to reset my balance to I can change my region and I have accepted this and they have already reset my balance to 0 and then was able to successfully change the region .
Now I have another problem which I can't to recover missing purchased items from my old region !!!
How to recover missing purchased items ????

You cannot use the iTunes store there any longer just as you can no longer use the food store you used to visit. Unless you can change your country back to the one you used to use you no longer have access to purchases made there which is why it is important you keep backups of all purchases made there.
The iTunes Store in a country is intended only for use by that country's residents, and only while they are in the country. To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card (or other card type if acceptable in a country) issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store. You are also restricted to waiting 90 days between country changes.
E.g., "The iTunes Service is available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. I am missing multiple purchases from the download section of past purchases. I can see the purchase date and other information in my account information through itunes. I want to be able to download all of my past purchases not just a few. Why are some purchases missing? I have only checked movies because that list is shorter but I am wondering if some of the music is missing too. I will check that later. I need help finding a way to get all of my purchases (from the same account) onto the download section so I can download anytime through the cloud. Thanks

If films (and similarly for other content) are no longer in the store (or potentially if it's a different version of the film now in the store) then they won't appear in the Purchased link/tab for re-downloading - and not all film studios have agreed to re-downloading, so that might also explain why some are missing. If you think that some of the missing films should appear then you could contact iTunes support and see if they can see why they don't show : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
As there is no guarantee that any content will remain in the store for re-downloading, you should also be maintaining your own backup copy of your purchases, and not just rely on the Purchased link/tab.

Missing Purchased TV shows

We are missing several TV series & individual episodes from our iTunes that we purchased via iTunes in the cloud. We still have access to some TV purchases but not to everything which we have bought.
We are unable to see the missing TV shows on any of our devices - PC, iPad, iPhone or Apple TV 2. Most of the purchases were made via either Apple TV or IPad.
This has been going on for a month and we have been in contact with iCloud support who told us to contact iTunes support. We contacted iTunes support but their response was a cut & paste from the support page - effectively suggesting to reboot the Apple TV which we already have done numerous times.
Having searched on the web, we have found that there has been other cases of this happening but I have not yet come across a satisfactory response from Apple.
Has anyone else had this problem? Has anyone found a solution? Has anyone else had the same dis satisfactory response from Apple Support?
This is very frustrating as the lost content represents hundreds of dollars.

Hi Everyone
After a month of going between iCloud & iTunes support on this - where we even were even at the point that iTunes attempted to restore our purchases but it still wasn't restoring all missing purchased episodes & those that were restored weren't appearing on all devices, we found the answer to our problem... And I bet it will solve your problem.
Log into our iTunes from your computer
Go to the store via iTunes (this worked on iTunes 11)
Click on your account
Under your account, there is an option for "Hidden Purchases" - click on this
Under each media tab it tells you what purchases have been selected to be hidden
Choose the media where you have purchase missing - for us it was TV Shows
Choose the individual episode / series / item
There will be an option to unhide - click on this button for each item
We found for iPad / iPhone we could see most of why was lost. On Apple TV 2, we had to reset / restore
This actually fixed our problem - I should point out that at no point did we select for any of our purchases to be "hidden" in the cloud and I would say this is a bug in iTunes / iCloud that Apple needs to address. I also think that an option for hidden purchases makes no sense for the majority of iTunes / iClouds users.

You can only purchase content on the Kazakhstani store because you created your Apple ID on that country. To change the country, see "Change your iTunes Store country" > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1311?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

Is there an answer to why notes go missing?

Is there an answer to why notes go missing on the iPhone?
Is it a software problem?
I now don't have any faith with using the notes app as important things I've taken note of disappear.

If you backed up when they were there, you can restore with a backup. You might also want to ask on a Yahoo forum if there's another way.
I would think it would be OK to use the Notes app. I don't sync it with anything and I've never had any trouble. You might also look at 3rd party apps... I've heard that Evernote is very good.

I think I may have confused you a little bit, sorry. Hope this might be easier to follow.
1. Copied nieces VHS tape to DVD discs. Tape runs approximately 2hr. 39min.
2. Put first part on work copy 1. This consisted of the lead up to the ceremony and the ceremony itself, ending with still shots of the wedding party, in the park. About 1hr. 1min.
3. Put second part on work copy 2. This consisted of the wedding reception, beginning to end. About 1hr 38min. No possibility of overlapping content.
4. Ran both work copy 1 and work copy 2 on the VCR that's hooked up to the TV. (Not the Toshiba copy machine). Both ran through, beginning to end with no glitches.
5. Opened Adobe Premiere Elements and loaded work copy #1 so as to make three finished copies, one for bride and groom, one for bride's parents, one for groom's parents.
6. When placed on the timeline, contents of work copy 1 had no audio for VTS_01_1.VOB while VTS_01_2.VOB and VTS_01_3.VOB were whole.
7. Tried for several days to eliminate the problem with no success. A.P.E. showed file sizes of .99GB, .99GB and 47MB respectively. The 47MB is actually about 2 minutes of still pictures of       the wedding party. I was not going to attempt to burn the project until correcting the audio problem.
8. Wrote in to the community forum and happily received your response. Tried every thing you offered without success. Though I am thankful for all your time and effort. While nothing worked       so far, I have learned a few things and will retain my notes so as to keep this information at hand. (Don't know how you're able to maintain all that info).
9. At this point, in view of the results of step #4, I thought to try Windows DVD Maker to see what developed. Loaded work copy 1 into that program, which recognized the audio in the first clip       (VTS_01_1.VOB). I did not run the work copy, beginning to end, in this program. But I felt that as long as the audio was present in the first clip, this program would allow me to burn the           copy. When the burn button was pushed, I received the error message "Will Not Fit", and the duration of 30 min for clip 1, 30 min. for clip 2 and 25 hours and 30 min. for clip 3. Clip 3 being       the 2 minutes of still pictures. After trying unsuccessfully to remedy this problem it was time to try a different approach.
10. Opened A.P.E. and loaded work copy 2 onto the timeline. Successfully made three finished copies of this disk in a short period of time.
11. Took the VHS tape back to the Toshiba to make another copy (work copy 1A) of the first segment.
12. Played copy 1A in the TVs VCR and it played fine, no glitches.
13. Opened A.P.E. and put work copy 1A on the Timeline. This time there was audio in clip 1, which could be seen on the audio line, but it was the audio from work copy 2. This, even though       I had deleted the files from work copy 2.
14. Accepted the fact that this has become a career. Can't imagine what you're thinking. Since beginning this endeavor I have become much older and grouchier. My dog will no longer walk         with me. Neighbors go back in the house when they see me coming. Oh, and my wife sticks out her tongue and makes funny noises whenever I turn my back.

You can't buy it all at once, if that's what you mean. Apple for some unexplained reason removed the "Buy All" option a while back. Perhaps they'll put it back in a future update; it's a subject that certainly has been brought up a number of times in these forums.

Well done getting the wireless network secured.
You have to precede the (hex) password with a '$' in Mac OS, to tell the Internet Connect dialog box that you are keying a hex password (rather than ASCII). This is because the Mac has detected that the network is WEP protected, and leaves it to you to decide how you want to key the password.
As an alternative, in Internet Connect (or from the AirPort icon menu), you can elect to join an "Other" network. If you select your network again, it'll come up with "WEP Password" as the option of Wireless Security. You can change this to "WEP 40/128-bit hex" and then not have to precede your password with the '$'.
Alternatively, you could tell us the make and model of your wireless router and we can tell you how to set, and use an ASCII password. From your 10-character hex password, we can see that you're using 40/64-bit WEP. Non-Apple routers can be a bit fussy when using ASCII passwords with 40-bit WEP (don't worry, this is also true for Windows PC's using 40-bit WEP too), but we can talk you through it.
As a final alternative, as you have such a whizzy Mac, as long as your wireless router supports it, you could use WPA security, and never have to worry about ASCII / hex / '$', etc. Older Macs (particularly original AirPort cards - not AirPort Extreme - and OS9) were limited to 40-bit WEP.

For that issue, quit the App Store if it's open.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar top of your screen click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
Click Go
Move the NetworkInterfaces.plist file from the SystemConfiguration folder to the Trash.
Relaunch the App Store and try downloading MLion.
***** Your post is rather confusing. There's a difference between reinstalling Lion and downloading Mountain Lion.

Why is the Restore Purchases functionality is inconsistent?

Why is it that sometimes when a user starts up a DPS app it shows their previous purchases and sometimes it doesn't show and they have to use the Restore Purchases button? Also, why does the Restore Purchases button sometimes fail or not actually restore anything? The functionality seems to be very inconsistent. This is happening on a number of our apps ranging from v22-v23. Any insight would be helpful.

That's pretty much normal for a FW400 drive. Restore takes more time that some copy programs because of the file verification it performs.
