Why am I not allowed to download updates via my PC since the iTunes update?

Comes up with a bubble saying 19 updates. When I click on it, it tells me: "We could not complete your iTunes store request. You do not have permission to access the requested resource. There was an error in the iTunes store. Please try again later."
Really? When? I can access everything else, my iTunes Match & Genius both work. I logged out and logged back in. Still comes up. C'mon Apple. Not impressed with this upgrade so far.

Exactly the same for me. Worked perfectly this morning now can't update apps. I updated to iTunes 11 a few days ago and it has workied OK until this afternoon. Maybe a problem with the app store?
Update: can't connect to the store for updates with either my iPad or phone. Must be a store problem.

  • Why N8 would not allow to download maps from inter...

Got a new N8 mobile, updated the OVI maps application which deleted the existing maps (after confirmation) and now the ovi application is asking me to connect to wifi.
Is there any workaround for the WiFi using settings or something else so that i can download the maps using 3G working on N8 mobile.
    http://www.bakwaash.com/

yeah i understand the problem a little bit, but the OVI Update should have told me this before updating.
It just said that it would delete the maps and i would need them to download again, it never said that wifi would be the only option.
I did not had access to wifi (neither a laptop) when i updated the ovi application (Only 3G Access) and it was sort of shock to see that there is no option to download the maps.
In Online Mode it kept telling waiting for GPS signal (for infinite time) and then i downloaded a GPS compass from OVI store and it got GPS signal within seconds.
Yes Roaming users can be of concern but don'nt you think majority of users are being blocked of the functionality who are not roaming, may be a simple messagebox saying that if you are on roaming then it might be costlier to download maps using 3g?

  • HT4972 Why will apple not allow an ISO update above 5.1 on a first generation I-Pad? I am finding a lot of apps requiring 6.0.  If this is a way of getting more money out of the consumer, it angers me greatly!

I am very angry that my I- Pad first generation will not update to ISO 6.1. Is this Apple's attempt to get more money from the consumer? I am finding a lot of apps require the 6.0 and will not load. I am a retired senior and purchasing a new I- Pad is not a priority.  Because of this Apple may lose my future business.

  • Why am I not able to download updates from App Store?

Hey, I have a problem with updates in the App Store. Now I see, I have an update for a game which calls Nyan Cat: Lost In Space. I have never heard about the game! When I want to update I see an e-mail [email protected] but I don't know it. I've never seen it before. I have read on the internet some informations about store hacking or something like that, so I exclude it absolutely! So could you help me, plese? (Sorry for my English)

Don't know anything about hacking.   I just typed it into Google and there was more than a page of references to this situation, but none that I could see as a warning. Seems it is a glitch of some kind.   I would delete ... unopened.

  • Why does Firefox not allow me to access podcasts by clicking on the "view in i-tunes" link from a website?

When I click on "view in i-tunes," Firefox starts opening multiple tabs at a rate of 4 or 5 per second. The only way to stop it is to turn off the computer & reboot. How can I fix this?

  • Why we are not able to download javatv api's

why we are not able to download javatv api's

Do you mean the download urls for the Java TV binary and source stuff?
    ("download.oracle.com/otndocs/jcp/javatv-1.1-src-mr-oth-JPR/" and "download.oracle.com/otndocs/jcp/java_tv-1.1.1-mrel-oth-JSpec/")
If so, when you try downloading, and you get the "You have no access..." screen, just refresh the browser, and you will get to the page for downloading the source and docs.
By the way, I think Java TV is more or less dead.
I doubt the site has been maintained for some years, and the SUN -> Oracle move did not improve link consistency :)
    Good luck!

  • Firefox did not allow ghostery download. Why? Should I allow it, anyway?

I read in the paper today that ghostery browser extension is available within Firefox. I couldn't find any reference to it, so I tried to download it. Firefox said it was not allowed, but I could check on allow to let it go forward. Why is it not allowed and should I check allow?

The Ghostery add-on is available for your version of Firefox, you can get it from https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ghostery/
If you are having problems installing it see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Unable+to+install+add-ons
On a side note, you should upgrade to the current version of Firefox (Firefox 3.6.13)

  • Iphoto does not allow me to update

Since installing Moutain Lion my iphoto does not allow me to update. It asks for it, but does not complete it. What should I do?

I have the same problem. I have iPhoto 9.1.5 running OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2, I open iPhoto and select Check for Updates... It says iPhoto 9.4.2 is available so I push Launch Software Update and it launches the App Store but then it says No Update Available. This doesn't surprise me since I never bought through the App Store but instead installed from the iLife '11 install DVD. All of iLife updated fine until Apple started releasing automatic updates through the App Store ONLY. So I tried going on Apple Support and manually downloading the next available update (Tried 9.2.1 & 9.4.2), I launch the installer and it says iPhoto 9.1 or greater is required to install this update. I have 9.1.5 so I don't understand why it won't work. I even tried installing iPhoto 9.1 update and it says it requires iPhoto 9.0. I don't know what else to try except maybe calling Apple to see if they would give me a free download through the App Store (Highly unlikely). I refuse to purchase the whole suite AGAIN just because it won't update but I want my updates so I can use iCloud and Photo Stream. So frustrating. I have been dealing with this for a year and now I am finally deciding to speak up and get some help with this. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

  • OS 10.9.2 will not allow me to update my old iPhoto app.

OS 10.9.2 will not allow me to update my old iPhoto app. I upgraded computer from a PowerBook G4 to a MacBook Pro and migrated my data onto the new machine. I had iPhoto '09 installed running on 10.5.8.Now on 10.9.2 and I get  get a message that iPhoto was registered to another user and that I will need to purchase my own copy. Not sure why since I've always used the same account and its my only account. Isn't Mavericks supposed to come pre-loaded with the latest version of iPhoto?

    This screenshot shows which previous versions of iPhoto qualify for a free upgrade to 9.5.1 and which require a purchase;
If you're having problems with the App Store you might try this:
1 - enable the Debug menu in App Store:
    open the Terminal application.
copy the command below and paste into the Terminal window:
defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true
    followed by Enter.
    launch App Store, login.
2 - select the Debug ➙ Reset Application option:
    3 - try again.

  • Mt iPad will not allow me to update my apps. My username and password are correct and I can buy apps with no problem but when I try and update it just says "cannot open iTunes"

My iPad will not allow me to update apps although I have no problem buying new ones. It says "cannot connect to iTunes" each time I try.

Same problem for me, too.  It happens on my iPad, iPhone, and iMac.  Weird because I have great Internet connectivity and I can log into and view my iTunes account.  I've downloaded three new apps with no problem.  But my iPad shows 14 apps needing updates, my iPhone shows 2, and my iMac shows 1.  In all cases, clicking on "update" and entering the password results in the message, "Cannot connect to iTunes Store".  It's the same result across multiple WiFi networks, even after resetting them.
I'll see if someone at the Genius Bar can help and then I will repost.
