Why am I not receiving Facebook notifications in OSX 10.8.2?

Today I updated to the new Mountain Lion 10.8.2 with Facebook integration. All setup went well I can share directly to Facebook through the notification center. However I am not receiving notifications. Why is this? Twitter only delivers notifications when the app is open, but there is no Facebook app.

Current Problem: But, now I don't receive facebook notifications. I have the newest version of facebook, and i still receive regular ol' email notifications via my gmail app, but no more cool little f's with "so-and-so wrote on your wall!". not in my "messages" client or in my facebook client. i can still connect to facebook with the client, as i can retrieve status updates of friends, write messages from it, etc.
everyone that i've read on the boards is under the impression that facebook app notifications simply aren't linked to your BB email account... but my situation seems to question this. any suggestions? i appreciate it!

email address that receives Facebook account notifications is not
the email address that is asso...
Basically if your Gmail address is not assoicated through BIS on your device then you will not get the notifications.

Still Not Receiving Facebook Notifications

I stopped receiving my notifications about 2 weeks ago (approximately June 8/9th). So far I have tried the following:
-powering down and restarting
-removing the battery and restarting
-switching the email address associated with Fb account (yes both old & new are linked to my Bb)
-changed password, thought my account may have been hacked into
-deleted and reinstalled app several times
I follow BlackberryHelp on Twitter and a tweet was posted last week that the problem was fixed and users should be receiving notifications again but I still am not. Please let me know if there's something I'm missing and haven't tried yet or if I need to speak with my provider about this issue.

My iPhone 4s says that my software version 5.0.1 is up to date. Why am I not receiving the notification that the new update is available for me to download?

I have an iPhone 4s, not jailbroken. I was able to update to 5.0.1 when it came out last year. When 5.1.1 came out, I noticed that I never received the
notification that a new update was available. I updated my 2 ipads and my wife's iphone 4. I didn't bother looking into it, since I didn't feel the need to update to 5.1.1. Now I want to update to ios 6, but when I go to Settings > General > Software Update. It checks for updates , but still shows me that my 5.0.1 is up to date. I plug into itunes and check for update there and it still indicates that 5.0.1. is up to date as well.
Does anyone know what this is happening and how I can update to ios 6?

I am not receiving Facebook Notifications in the Notification Center.

I've enabled Facebook integration on my MacBook Pro, and it allows me to set up Contacts and whatnot, and it even placed a Post to Facebook button in my Notifications Panel but I have yet to recieve any Facebook notifications these past two days. What gives?
'Apps' are set to 'ON' in my Facebook privacy settings, and Posting from NC works just fine. Am I missing something?

After upgrading to 10.3 OS I do not get Facebook notifications. Only when I go in the FB app I can see I have some notifications. But I do not receive alerts/notifications just as other apps like what's app or BBM on my Q10

If Xandrex's solution does not work, I have fixed this more than once by removing my FB account and the app, then reinstall and re-add. I like Xandex's solution better if it works tho

That is the reason.
You will not receive an alert on your iPhone that an update is available since you can't install an iOS update direct on an iPhone with iOS 4. There are no updates for iOS 4 after 4.3.
You need to install iOS 6 on your iPhone with iTunes on your computer. After doing so, you will be able to install iOS updates direct on your iPhone and receive notification on the iPhone that an iOS update is available.

Not receiving twitter notification sounds in IPhone 5s.

I have bought iPhone 5s recently and downloaded the twitter app. Unfortunately, even after fiddling with all the sound settings, I do not receive the notification sound for twitter either when my tweet is re-tweeted, favourited or when I receive a mention. However, I always duly receive the email notification whenever any of the aforesaid action happens.

I believe I have implemented it correctly but I am not receiving the notifications on my phone. I have an ad hoc provisioning profile set up. I have the device token from the phone through NSLOG to console. I have the dot net code running without errors.

IMAP account access by itself does not provide for syncing contacts, calendar events, and notes or anything over the air. This is possible with an Exchange account accessed via ActiveSync with the Exchange Server.
If your company email account is an Exchange Account, your company's IT Dept. has enabled IMAP account access for your Exchange account on the Exchange server?
If an Exchange account, the IT Dept. must have ActiveSync enabled for your account on the Exchange Server to create and access the account as an Exchange account which provides Push access for received messages, and over the air syncing for contacts and calendar events with the Exchange Server.

Why am I not receiving a requestcode?

I bought a 1 year license for Adobe CS6 Design & Web Premium for Windows on Slim.nl. I could not install it succesfully, because the software couldn't "see" that I was connected to internet (and you have to be connected to instal the software correctly, or I can only use it for 7 days). I tried to activate it offline, but when I made a Adobe account and logged in, the webpage told me that I should have received a requestcode, I presume via e-mail. I have not gotten any mail from Adobe (beside the e-mail to verify the mail adress to be able to post on this forum). I can use the software now, but only for the next 6 days, until I am able to succesfully instal all the software.
My questions:
How could it be that the software didn't "see" I an had internet connection? (I tried multiple times, with multiple wifi-spots)
Why am I not receiving a requestcode?
[I did get the page for the requestcode in Dutch, so maybe "request code" isn't the proper term I am using]
I hope someone can help me with this problem, so I can use te software the entire year, instead of only this week.

If you are unable to send or receive email, try the following steps:

Tap Safari and attempt to load a webpage to ensure that the device has Internet access. If you're unable to load a webpage, try the Wi-Fi assistant.
Try an alternative Internet connection.
If your email is provided by your Internet provider, try connecting from the home network.
If your iOS device has an active cellular data plan, try to disable Wi-Fi: Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn off Wi-Fi.
If not, try a different Wi-Fi network.
Log in to your email provider's website to ensure that the account is active and the password is correct.
Delete the account from Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and then add the email account again on the iOS device.

why am i not receiving all my e-mails on ipad2? I get them on my blackerry and on my pc.

I believe most PC mail programs by default are set to delete messages from the server once they are downloaded onto the PC. So if you access your email on your PC before your iPad checks for email some messages won't be there. To minimize this make sure you have Push set to on and Fetch set a short time limit (not Manual).
