Why am I prompted to type in serial for Photoshop CC?

After what I've figured, you don't need serial for the cloud version of photoshop. I might be wrong, but I keep getting prompted to enter serial, but I can't find my serial anywhere... Help please?

Hoping this is the correct place to ask this question.
My company purchased Creative Suite 3 and 2 x copies of Photoshop CS3 a few years ago - they have been in use until recently.
We have since upgraded to Mac's for design purposes; I de-activated my copy of Photoshop before swapping over, only to find that my serial was not compatible with Mac.
When I asked if I could just swap serial numbers, the Live Chat assistant told me off for not installing my Mac version with the original media (well I had a PC DVD so I couldn't).
Would anybody be able to tell me what I can do without buying another copy? This isn't really an option. Many people do not even pay for it once, I don't want to have to pay for it twice!

My mother and I bought Photoshop Elements at Sams when it was on sale. We had not opened it up till now. We went to install it and there is no serial number for this program. I can not install it unless it has the serial #. Why spend money on something that we can not install. Please help us with this manner.

I downloaded Photoshop Elements 4.0, installed my ID and serial # as requested, and now when I try to use the program I get a message telling me that my ID or serial # is invalid, and that the program needs to exit.

Well, first of all, PSE 4 won't run on your macbook. You need at least PSE 6, I'm afraid.
Also, that link was very confusing to many people. Adobe was not giving the software away. They just shut down the activation servers. Those downloads were really intended only for people who already had a registered copy of the software, not for anyone who wanted to try it, although it was greatly misunderstood because of adobe's poor communication. Even if it had been compatible, I'm not sure it would have worked without a previously registered serial number, although PSE 4 never had activation in the first place.

So i then down opened PS and when the serial number screen came up I ran the fix, it said successful, but it still ot take my serail number/

Why am I paying twice the monthly fee for Photoshop CC?

I recently agreed a contract for Adobe PhotoshopCC and commenced paying £17.58 a month and I purchased a Lightroom download from Adobe. I have since noticed that Photoshop CC plus Lightroom is available for £8.78 per month which is half what I pay. I already own CS4. Adobe do not have a link for customers wanting to question their rental packages. I feel that I am being ripped off!

Why can't I just type in an ipad serial number and find out what model it is? This used to be a function of the Apple Tech Specs. Why has it been removed? If it is in a different place, where is it?

each standard has its own specification about media, connectors and protocols. Depending on the type of media and technologies that ware available when the standard has been defined, a maximum speed has also been defined. The speed depends on the specific media (copper or optical, twisted pair or coax, cat 5 or cat 6), electrical signals (volts, waveform, clock), distance between device,.... each protocol defines a maximum speed. It's true that ethernet protocols have a very high speed but over a copper line they are also limited to 100 meters while other serial protocols, xDSL for example, can transmit up to 20Mbps over copper line over a distance of some kilometre. So speed reduction is often a way to have longer connections.

Hello, I am wondering if I can get some help here.A while back I had a motherboard replaced by lenovo service. The machine arrived turned on once and then it died.Once the tech left the machine was used a handful of times and then stored. I a now working on it and I noticed this screen, which appreared after the mobo replacements. Iam wondering if anyone knows how to fix this issue. What is Error 00CE really saying? Thanks

It's really saying what shows on the screen there....the serial number and machine type are invalid. My guess is the tech that replaced your board did not update the MTM/SN fields when he flashed BIOS on the new board (if he flashed BIOS at all), and those fields are still listing the defaults that are populated by the board manufacturer.
Run the latest DOS BIOS flash package (I think current BIOS is 45 maybe for the A0 branch), and when prompted, enter the correct information from your system for the machine type and serial number. That should alleviate the POST error you're seeing.

I will tell you honestly. I have tried almost everything to fix the issues. I even tried to call Adobe Technical Support so I can fix the activation issue but no answer after waiting for about an hour on the line. I ask the chat but they just kept saying wait for another 24 hrs it should be updated now it has been about 4 days and no changes. I am extremely frustrated to cause I need to work on my computer.
