Why am i renting boxes to utilize the service

I know this is how things are, but why do i need to rent boxes for my TV if i am already paying for the service. I don't rent the motor in the car that i bought. is there a way to use the service without renting boxes? or should i go back to the 60's and place an antenna on my roof and recieve the signal free? or just purchase an internet service and watch everything online? STOP RIPPING EVERYONE OFF!!!!!

If that is what someone told you, they were flat wrong! Hopefully you just misunderstood them.
The old digital converters that were sold in retail stores some years ago (and still are I think) are only for receiving digital TV signals over-the-air, and are for use with very, very old TVs that will not receive digital over-the-air TV. They will not work with any cable TV system, or with FiOS - period! Of course if you want to continue using the old converters with an antenna, you can do so for any TVs you don't want to connect to FiOS TV.
Verizon does offer a "digital adapter", the DCT-700, for use with FiOS. It will receive only the SD channels (all you are subscribed to), and has no Guide, no Widgets, no VOD. There is a monthly fee.
If the TV you want to connect has a QAM tuner (check the owners manual, relatively new TVs only), then you can hook that TV directly to the FiOS coax and receive the local channels only.
I hope this clarifies the situation.

Why would a rented movie work on the ground but not in the air?

This is the craziest thing. I rented a movie from my MacBook Pro and then transferred it to my iPad 2 for a flight. However once I got on the plane each time I tried to open it I received a message that the movie could not be opened. OK. I figured I made a mistake in the transfer. Once I got home I tried to open the movie again (in Airplane mode, just to be sure) and it loaded right up. I didn't press play since I was leaving on another flight in two days. Got on the flight and had the exact same problem. Once I landed I tried it again and it loaded right up, but I didn't hit play because I have another flight on Friday. What are the odds it will occur three times in a row? I have 20 days left on the rental and about six more flights. This could be fun.
To lend a little irony to the situation the movie is "Up In The Air". Anyone have any clue what the heck is going on? The only variable among the two instances is that in the air I had headphones plugged in, but on the ground I didn't.

*Play a note or two
*Close Garageband

Why does my rented movie stop throughout the viewing period? This is so irritating while trying to watch I have to keep pressing the play icon to get it to play at all! Anyone have any info on why this is happening on my IPAD2?

It is possible that the video file of this movie has become corrupted. If it was purchased from iTune, and is still available in the iTunes Store for your region, you can delete it and download it again from the store. See this article -

In Weblogic admin server,in monitoring status the services status is SHUTDOWN,but the corresponding services are running fine

In WebLogic server when we checked the health status through monitoring tab. Initially ,we find the Analytic provider services and Essbase Administrative services were UNKNOWN.
we tried restarting the specific services (stopped and started the "Stop Analytic Provider services(Oracle Weblogic 10)" ,"Stop Essbase Administration services (Oracle Weblogic 10)" ).it has no effect still the status remains same as "UNKNOWN". But the services are running fine and the EAS console also working fine.After that,we restarted the weblogic hosting server. Now the status changed as "SHUTDOWN". Now also the services are running fine and the EAS console also working fine. How to make the health status of both the services to be RUNNING and why it is showing like this eventhough the services are working fine.?
We have gone through the Oracle Document ID:1563358 which we felt relevant to this. Please guide through whether to apply patches. Our weblogic server version is 10.3.6.0.

Patches in this document Doc ID 1563358.1 belongs to weblogic versions from 10.3.4 to 12.1.1 so is it your weblogic version is within this range?

Hello,
Use the transaction code J2IUN. At the bottom of the screen, you have the option to use service tax for Cenvat. Select the radio button and give the final service tax accounts in the fields provided. This will enable you to use the service tax balance against the cenvat payable.

Searching information for the meaning of the service-name option I didn't find nothing..
Do you know what service-name do and when (or why) it might be configured?

Time consumption by the stub and the service methods

There is a performance issue with the web services which is reported recently. The Service method i.e. in my case AccountBalanceService.initFactory is taking 380 milliseconds while the stub method is taking i.e. in my case availableBalanceServiceStub.availableBalance is taking 2 seconds. QA people reported about why it is taking more time while the service method is quick. What might be the cause here? For me, it's seems that it might be the networking issues, marshalling and unmarshalling of the soap files and the JVM settings on the machines.

the time spent by a user (which is the difference between login and logout) is <b>not</b> stored anywhere.
STAD and/or ST03 will not help here as only the time of the login could be determined from the workload statistics. The time of the logout cannot be retrieved from the workload data (as this action doesn't contain any "logout specific" information).
As a workaround you can use the Security Audit Log (sm19) to protocol the logon and logoff of the users. Based on this information you should be able to calculate the time a user was logged on.
About the number of transactions:
the workload analysis only uses dialog steps. As the number how often a transaction was called doesn't contain any useful information this information is <b>not</b> collected.
E.g. you can call su01 to create 100 user accounts or call ten times su01 to create one user. The workload creating 100 users will be higher than the workload of the remaining ten transactions...
So the figures 1 transaction vs. 10 transactions doesn't provide any useful information.

We had purchased desktop from your shop and we would like to inform that there is a technical issue in that. It is written in your mails that “Our engineer will provide services at your place and within 48 hours of the complaint being lodged” inspite of all this mails your customer care service department are telling us to being desktop to the service centre and when we took it to the service centre the tecinician told us that the service would be provided to you at your place and further when we are calling at customer service center then they are informing us that the bar code is not matching there is variance in the same and they are also telling us that it is our issue not ours. So our complain is why are you doing fake promises that the services would be provided within 48 hours and the engineer would be coming to your place to your place and the services would be given.Please resolve the issue as soon as possible

Great, so now I have to airplay it by linking my computer to my Apple TV and then the movie has to buffer! So, all that time I spent downloading the HD video has to technically "download" again by buffering. The more I use Apple TV, the more I feel like this item was not created by Apple. I don't even use it for what I originally purchased it for. If I would have known that anytime I wanted to sync a movie from my computer to Apple TV by using airplay that it would have to buffer the movie, I would have never ever ever ever ever purchased this waste of time device. So the video has to technically play all the way through one time first so Apple TV can "remember" the movie to play it back in real time afterwards.
Am I missing something here? Am I doing something wrong that can be fixing my problem? I should have known that the Apple TV had so many things backwards when simple things like when you are using the remote and you reach the bottom of your list, in order to cycle back to the top of your list you have then press the directional buton back the other way rather than most modern day devices that will automatically cycle you back to the top or to the other side when you reached the bottom or end but keep on pressing the button. That **** annoys me when I am doing a search for a movie and have to type the name in manually and have to cycle back and forth to the letters. It makes me feel like I am using a rotary phone or something!

Rentals are one-time only downloads, they will not show on other devices/computers for redownloading.
If you rent a film on your iPad or Apple TV then you can only watch it on that device. If you rent it on your Mac then you can move it from there to your iPhone or your Apple TV (if it's a first gen Apple TV) : FAQs about renting movies from the iTunes Store :
If you rented the movie on your computer, you can move it to an iOS device or Apple TV (1st generation). To do this, connect the devices and sync using USB. When you move a rented movie from your computer, it will disappear from your computer’s iTunes library. I would like Adobe to utilize the non-legacy save/open Windows 7 dialog box

So I downloaded the trial for CS5.5 Master Suite and found that the open/save dialog box is the same thing from CS5. This is a huge disappointment.

When I export a PDF from InDesign CS6 with specific margins, Acrobat does not recognize the Art box. (I have PitStop Pro 11 for page box view)

We are exporting PDF's as you indicate. I see the same thing. The boxes are all the size of the original InDesign document. The PDF art box should be predicated by the margins in InDesign. When we had CS3, this worked great. Now, it seems that there is a disconnect between the two Adobe products honoring the page box size. I have contacted the Adobe techs via chat, and they had no clue what I was referring to. I find it mystifying that Acrobat can not interpret the art box set in InDesign as margins.

Start the video and slide all the way to the beginning. If the video isn't in your Movie app, then the rental expired.

Only Apple could answer as to why there is no "select all/"delete all" function in the iOS mail app. Users have been bemoaning this lack of functionality for years now. Like everyone else, you can submit feedback to. Apple here.

While I understand the whole idea of being able to use the phone on the run, if you have an IMAP email account, and if you have access to a computer at work during the day, use your "select all" function on the server and delete all of the unwanted email there and it will be removed from the phone as well.
That doesn't solve the problem on the phone, but it gets rid of the email which is your ultimate goal anyway.
