Is your question about multiple copies of photos or about trimming down the amount of memory your photos are taking up?
Photo Stream only takes up a small amount of storage since it is primarily housed in iCloud.
Camera Roll photos can be imported to a computer and deleted from the device.
When you say multiple copies, do you mean the same photos in Camera Roll and Photo Stream? If so, then you need to understand that every photo you take on your device will be seen in both the Camera Roll and in Photo Stream. They serve two different purposes. The Camera Roll is where your actual photos go and are stored on your device. These are the photos you import to your computer.
Photo Stream is where photos taken from any device signed onto the same iCloud account and that have Photo Stream turned on all go. That way, you can see photos on your iPhone that you took on your iPad and vice versa. But again, these photos are stored in iCloud and take up very little memory on your device.

My iPhone 4 using iOS 6 is creating multiple copies of random voicemail messages. How can I correct this I am deleting up to 10 - 15 duplicate voicemail messages daily.

Had the same problem... talked to a Genius and he contacted Verizon Wireless (my carrier). Turns out the problem is Verizon's. Contact Support and tell them you'd like your VoiceMail RESET (you will lose all your current voicemails). Should correct the problem.

Why do I have multiple copies of Pages

I should say that this is not specifically related to Pages, I have multiple copies of all the iWorks apps on my computer but because I could not find a general iWorks forum I decided just to post about Pages with the asumption that it would be the same for the other iWorks apps.
I have the pre-update iWork 09 version 4.5 that was installed from Disk when i first bought my Mac. I have since upgraded my Mac to Mavericks and upgraded pages (and iWorks) to the new iCloud versions 5.2
When I go into my Applications folder, I see a subfolder in there called iWork 09, and in that folder is the old 4.5 versions, but I also see the new versions of the apps as seperate apps in my Applications folder.

Basically all I want to know is if I App Delete the old iWorks 09 versions, will it affect my access to the updated versions, because it seems to me like I have two sets of iWorks apps (one old and one new) and of course I only need the new one

iWork 09's Pages is version 4.3. Yes you have to versions. They hare 2 different applications with the samme name. I wouldn't delete iWork 09 as it has about 100 more features than Pages has. But if you have it on a disk you can as you always have to possbility to install it again from the disk.

Why do I have multiple copies of the same song?

When I open my iTunes on my iPad I have multiple copies of the same song. It seems that when I connect and sync to my computer that it does not recognize that the song is already on my iPad, so it sends another copy. When I try to delete the second copy from my iPad by swiping to the left and hitting delete, it doesn't delete and I see the cloud icon like it wants to down load if from the cloud automatically again. How can I clean this mess up?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
It sounds like your Music application is showing your previously purchases music, with the cloud icon, on your iPad as well as what is synced onto it. Please follow the instructions in the following article to turn off Show All Music.

Just show music that’s been downloaded from iCloud. Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music.

Why am I getting multiple copies of a single email?

I'm using Yosemite 10.10 on my mid-2012 iMac.
I've noticed that I'll often get multiple "copies" of the same email. E.g., this morning I received an email that was forwarded to me as a contact through one of my weblogs. In the Mail Inbox for the specific email account the same email appeared three times.
I've noticed this same behavior in other email Inboxes (different accounts) in Mail.
Any idea what's going on?

This may have to do with the server, what kind of email are you using, and is it a group email?
Can you please provide steps you are taking with a little more detail as well? It may be a known issue, but I do not know.

Why do I see multiple crash reports from the day I approved one?

A few days ago, Firefox crashed on me. Subsequently, Crash reporter came up and I submitted a crash report. I only saw one crash, and only saw Crash reporter once. As such, I only approved sending a crash report once. However, when viewing "about:crashes" I see four crash reports as having been sent that day, all within an hour and a half of the original crash report.
What's going on here? Was there a recording error? Did Firefox continue to send reports after I approved one? Are these indicative are multiple causes for a crash?

The thing that confuses me is that the one I approved was sent at 11:58pm, then another apparently was sent several minutes later, then another after a pause, and a final one at 1:17am. I only approved the first one, so I can't understand why the other 3 were sent in (and Firefox only crashed once)
It might help if you could list the four Crash IDs ( bp- ) in question from the '''about:crashes''' Submitted Crash Reports page.

Why do I see multiple users with the same name as an output of "users"

Recently, I found a peculiar thing when I typed "users" in the terminal. There were three users with the same name. After restart(power went down) I now see only one user there. Is this normal and why it can be happening? Why are there duplicate users sometimes?

OT: you can run who to get a better idea of what each user is associated with. Eg. with Xorg on tty1 and terminal open with two tabs:

Oh there is another option on mine besides "Run command as a login shell" called "Update login records when command is launched" I have them both disabled. Check for a second option maybe.

Why do I see two copies of every photo when I sync my iPhone or iPad with iPhoto?

Whenever i plug in my iPhone to sync, iPhoto automatically opens.
There are always two copies of every photo I have taken since my last sync. I have to throw one out before syncing.

Why is Firefox downloading multiple copies of "Silverlight.dmg"?

Every web page that opens seems to want to download another duplicate copy of Silverlight, even though I have the latest already installed., I'll look at my download file, and I'll have 50-100 copies for the day. Every day.

Still, still, still, trying to find a solution. My downloads folder fills right up with scads of Silverlight.dmg files. Here is from just this afternoon (I cleaned it out just a few hours ago!):

I turned my mac on tonight and saw 4 little screens of my desktop instead of just one! How to I get it to be just one big display again?! please help it is very frustrating.

Try modifying your class and your code as follows...
change the class linkage to be Cursor. Not that it is wrong, but classes typically have upper case letters to make them easier to identify in code.
then, do not use the name of the class as the instance name....

Stuck mail with 2-3 mb+ files in outbox plus multiple copies (12-18) sent

Ok folks, I have finally hit on the problem that was affecting my e-mail that was causing 2 problems. Large attachments getting stuck in my outbox and than sending copies over and over typically 12 times. I have removed the fact that my AV program was scanning my out going mail when it was not necessary at all and causing major problems to the people on my distribution list and others. Sorry for any difficulties it may have caused you. I think my new computer is now bug free, or at least I hope so !! Here is the information I found on the Microsoft web site that helped. I hope someone else out there can use it !! (new HP Pavilion laptop)

In Outlook, do File-Work Offline. Close Outlook. Re-open Outlook and delete
the mail from your Outbox. The most likely culprit is antivirus software. If it's configured to scan
incoming and outgoing email, it acts like a proxy between your mail servers
and Outlook. Your send/receive can suffer timeout issues as the AV takes time
to scan each incoming email and attached file, and again for anything
outgoing. If your send/receive interval is say 10 minutes and you're
receiving mail and trying to send out something large, you can see where AV
would slow the process down, then send/receive kicks in again when the first
tasks aren't complete and cause a loop, stuck email, etc. I hope that makes
sense to you. If not, please post back and ask for clarification.
Your best bet would be to remove the integration with Outlook from your
antivirus software or even uninstall it, then reinstall it omitting Outlook
integration. This won't compromise your security, your real time scanner will
catch anything it's updated for.
Other culprits can include, but are not limited to, antiSPAM software,
firewall, other security software.*************************************************************************************** Best

I’m glad to hear that you were able to find a solution to the problem. One additional thing you may wish to try though is making sure your “Sent Items” folder isn’t full. My mother had a similar problem a few weeks ago, and in her case it wasn’t an anti-virus program or e-mail server issue – it was simply the fact that she had 3+ years worth of sent e-mails sitting around that she had never gotten around to deleting!
