Why am I seeing the software download time estimated at 11 hours?
Hi!
I'm restoring data in my 4S and the Apple server is pushing iOS 8.2 for the upgrade. When I tried to download the upgrade to my MacBook, the download was estimated to take 6 hrs. This didn't seem right, even though I'm downloading from the Airport Extreme. I proceeded regardless, knowing this is generally an estimate and my normal experience has been the estimated download time revises to less time as the download progresses.
This time it nearly took the 6 hours then promptly crashed.
Off to my iMac (currently running 10.9.5) and attempted to download the upgrade on the newer machine. Now the estimated time is 11 hours. Should I have "hard wired" directly from the AirPort Extreme with a LAN cable, or is something choking the download speed at my end?
Just wondering and am awaiting to hear from the collected wisdom of the readers for advice.

Download takes a long time, or you can't reach update server
iOS updates require a persistent Internet connection, and the time it takes to download the update will vary according to the size of the update and your Internet speed. You can use your device normally while downloading the iOS update, and iOS will notify you when you can install the update. To improve the speed of the download, avoid downloading other content.
If you get a message that "an error occurred downloading iOS," try again later. If the issue persists, try updating your device in another network or use iTunes to update your device. Learn more about iOS updates.

Connect your iPad to iTune (computer) and Check for Updates. Backup before you proceed with update.

Sign out and back into your apple id from Settings>iTunes and App stores>(Your apple ID)>Sign Out and then sign in again with the new address. Close app store from running in the background (or restart the phone if your unsure how to do this). If when trying to update any apps they are still asking for the old apple ID, delete and re-install those apps.

How have you tried to update the iPad to iOS 6.1.3 ? The page that you posted from, automatic downloads, isn't for iOS updates, only for content from the store.
If you have iOS 5+ on your iPad then you should have a Settings > General > Software Update option for direct update on the iPad, otherwise you can only update to the current version via your computer's iTunes.
To update via your computer, connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off it to your computer via File > Transfer Purchases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases on iTunes 11). You may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. You can then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'.
Then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes (on iTunes 11 you can enable the left-hand sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC), and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button -
I would Like to know where i can see the date AND time on a picture i take With My iPhone? AND if not on the phone automaticly,.. Why not?... If even the cheapest phones provide this BASIC info.

I just migrate settings and software, include CC, from my PowerBook to a new Mac Pro. All the software download from CC is there and working, except for CC, and there is not way to install. I have try because every time I restar keep bothering asking for installation, (by the way, the link is not up to date). Will appreciate your help.
never migrate adobe software. it should be properly installed.

Because that is not a feature of the iPhone (or of most phones). If someone does not answer when you call, it means they do not want to or cannot talk to you at that time. They could be on another call or they could be simply busy doing something else. Why does it matter which?

I am having an installation failure issue with my itunes 11 software. File is corrupted and i don't know what to do. I've un-install and re-installed the software three times and continue to get the same error message. It states that "This copy of ITunes is corrupted or is not installed correctly. Please reinstall Itunes"

If your old version of iTunes is still working - then I sugest you stick with that.
iTunes 11 is a lousy update - It will not retain your playlists, you can't find and delete duplicates... and a whole arry of oyher issues. (have a look around this forum to see how many issues IT11 gives people)

I just downloaded the new version of iTunes (11.0.0.163), and it looks really nice, but I can't see the number of times I played a song, or the last time I played a song. Is there a way to show them again?

1- Right Click a Song and Click Get Info and there on the Summary Tab is Plays which shows how many times you played a Song
2- While in the Songs Listview - Right Click on the Columns (where it says Time, Name, Artist etc etc ) and select from that long list, Plays. this will add a new column which will show how many times you played a Song -

There isn't a feature in Adobe Send for setting and end-date for a file's availability. At any time, you can Unshare the file, however.

Schedule the app download time
I have a 300mb download limit and the app I purchased exceeds this. I do have a window in the middle of the night that would allow me to download the entire app. I would normally use Speed Download to handle this issue. Is there a way to schedule the app download time? I currently have it on 'pause'. I did a search in the forum, but didn't see anything that would address this. Thanks.

I know of nothing that would allow you to do this automatically unless you can figure out a way to use Automator to do such a thing for you.

Available backups for an iOS device can be found in Edit > Preferences > Devices. -
Hi, I need to activate my Adobe CS3 on a new computer because my old one died and I'm having difficulty. Tried the normal registration way and then logged in with my Adobe ID and can see the software and activation code already registered. How to get it on my computer registered?
If your two activation are in use you need to call Adobe. Install CS3 to to point of activation and call Adobe at that point. They have help me in cases like your My Disk crashed and I replaced it. Could not deactivate the crash activation. I done that twice over the years I've been using PS for around 20 years
To see your key you need to click on the product in your Adobe products and services page. -
