apologies - my question was ambiguous, and it is not the 'details', so let me explain my problem
I purchased my new imac a week ago. I have a number of websites which I have accounts with, and am trying to use Keychain to store my username/password combinations for each of these.
The process should work as follows: when I open up the website, enter a username and password combination and commit to 'login', the iMAC responds with a window asking if the username/password combination should be saved, if I select save then the iMAC stores the username/password combination in Keychain. When I revisit that website at a later time/date Keychain automatically completes the username/password entries, enabling login.
This process has succeeded only for some of my websites concerned, and for others my iMAC fails to respond with a window requesting a 'save' or not, hence the username/password is not stored in Keychain (under 'login' 'passwords').
Hence not all url sites work, and for these I thereafter need to manually insert the username/password to achieve 'login'

It's infuriating that whenever I want to: install something I've bought, buy something, or something else, it asks (yet again) for my pwd. Is there some way to tell this ******** app to forever remember my pwd?* Also, a few wks back (not longer after I'd finished a completely fresh install of OSX 10.8.5) all the apps in the "purchased" section had a little "x" next to them. Stupidly I pressed that x on one or more of them, & bizarrely the apps forever disappeared, what happened to those purchased apps of mine?
Also, in the purchased apps section it's claiming that a number of the apps are "installed", again it's ******** because I've not installed those apps on this new env! So, how do I get access to those apps via the Store? Also, GarageBand/iMovie/iPhoto they're all stock apps, right? Why when I search in Spotlight aren't they showing-up on my system volume? Instead they're only showing-up on my attached external HDD, which has a CCC backup of my prior env/install. of OSX. Same for 2 other non-stock purchased apps (Pocket/Trillian), they're showing-up in the CCC backup volume, so Mac Store thinks they're "installed". Three other purchased apps (Airmail/TweetDeck/Wunderlist) I was given the option to install or update (can't recall), so they're now in my new OSX env. Finally, why is it showing stock apps in the "purchased" section, I did not purchase those apps, they came with OSX, which came with my laptop!
Any help on one or all of these points would greatly appreciated, all the best!

Based on this over-the-top post, it's obvious that you would also be here badmouthing and blaming Apple when the app remembered your password and a friend or aquiantance bought content using your account. The password is your security that no one can hack your account, on your Mac or from someone else's Mac.* Only someone very shortsighted would want to hack the security. Your password is usually good for 15 minutes. During that time period you can make purchases without having to re-enter the password. When the clock has ticked down the password is required again.

1. The Mac App Store (MAS) can see it's apps on the external HDD because the MAS uses Spotlight to know what's installed on your Mac. So if you want to solve this issue, temporarily unmount the backup drives so the MAS doesn't see the installed apps.
2. The iLife apps are not "stock apps" they are a suite of apps that Apple is giving to you for free with the purchase of a new Mac. They are sold in the MAS. "Stock apps" are installed and updated with OS X, they are not sold in the MAS and do not appear on your Purchases list. The iLife apps are not stock apps, which is why they show up in your MAS Purchased list, otherwise you would never be able to update them.
3. You were obviously given the chance to "update" those 3 apps that were installed on your backup drives, which is why you now have the most recent version of them on your new Mac.
*iTunes and the Mac App Store use the same account. Both apps have the same password security protocol.

Why won't the iTunes Store remember my password?

When I attempt to log in to the iTunes Store, I have to type in my password each time. It should be remembered through the Keychain, but doesn't. Any ideas? (iTunes 9.2.1, OS X 10.4.11).

i tried the password manager settings, but did not see a list of sites in the exceptions list!
the "always use private browsing feature" is not checked off in my privacy settings!
the "clear history when firefox closes" feature is not checked off in my privacy settings!
i do not have password manager software embedded in my antivirus software!
the "remember password" prompt does not always operate!!! i do not always see this when attempting to log into my email accounts, especially if entering a new email address!!

hello, websites can specify if browsers should be able to save username/passwords (through the autocomplete="off" attribute in the login form in the html source code) - this is often the case when a higher level of security is presumably required by those sites.

The card must be issued in the same country as the store you are trying to use. If you're trying to sign up for the US Apple Store, it must be a US card with a US billing address. If you're trying to sign up in India, it must be an Indian card with an Indian billing address.
Apple will run a small charge, which will be credited back, to make sure the card is valid. If it is a debit card and you do not have enough in the account to cover the authorization, it will be declined.
It is possible the currency conversion you mentioned may be causing a problem. Contact the issuing bank if you are sure you have enough in the account and you are signing up for the correct store.

Why am I unable to use my apps store when my billing information hasn't changed

I'm trying to download a game from my App Store for my sister, it asks me for my Apple ID password, I type it in then I get the billing page come up. I haven't changed my bank details so why am I unable to download from App Store?

Apple has made the accounts more secure and this is security protecol to insure that you are who you claim to be. Are you attempting this on your own Mac or on hers?

Apple store gift cards and iTunes gift cards are not interchangeble. They have to be used for the store in which they were purchased.

First back up the registry
Go to Start > Run --> type in regedit and hit OK.
Navigate to the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\LocalSettings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\TrayNotify.
Delete the values IconStreams and PastIconsStream.
Open up the Task Manager, go to the Processes tab, select explorer.exe and click End
Process.
Open the Applications tab and click New Task at the bottom-right of the window.
In the message box that pops up type in explorer.exe and hit OK.
Explorer.exe will reload, and the missing icons should now be back in the system-tray
where they belong.

Why am I unable to receive e-mail but I can send it? Mail version 3.6 for Macbook.

I took it to the Apple store and it had them all stumped. They kept saying I had to have a "bad" e-mail that was preventing others from passing. They tried to erase all e-mails but it still wouldn't work. When they were just about ready to give up the man decided to wipe out anything having to do with e-mail-and start a new account, so I lost messages, but once he cleared all e-mail related items on the laptop, the mail went through!!!
I haven't had problems since- so....I hope that helps!!

Try a simple shutdown with the power button (which clears The RAM). If that doesn't work, then try a hard reset by holding down the power button and the home button until the iPad restarts. This will additionally clear the caches, which may be corrupted. Also, make sure you're running the latest version of iOS 7 (which I assume you are by your tag line).
