Why am I unable to update my apps on either of my iPads?

I have (2) iPads and they both are showing I have numerous app updates available.  When I go to the update screen I just get a blank white screen.  This is the same on both of my iPads.

IT's a glitch on Apple's end. You can either wait it out or if you want to update your apps, go to the App store and the purchased tab and scroll through your apps. The ones with updates will have banners on them and you can update them that way.

    Then you need to change the store that you bought the apps from - correct?
    Go to the featured tab of the App Store and tap on your ID at the bottom. Tap View Apple ID. Enter your password. Go to Country/Region and change it to the correct store.

    We recently changed the apple id password, when I click update apps, the apple ID password window opens, but the apple id that appears just above the box when I type the password is itunes@xxx where xxx is the domain name for the correct apple id. In other words, the apple id that appears in the window is not the correct apple id. I have signed out and signed back in with the correct apple id and correct password, but the "wrong" apple id appears every time I try to update apps. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.     What do you mean by 'refusing from the system', if you are getting an error message then what does it say ?
    For a credit card to have a chance of being accepted it needs to be registered to the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, and have been issued by a bank in the country where you and your iTunes account are. If it is and if you are getting a 'declined' message then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes Support (these are user-to-user forums) and see if they know why it's being declined : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
    If when trying to download you are getting a message about a 'problem with a previous purchase' then that implies that iTunes wasn't able to collect the money for your last purchase. If that is the case then you won't be able to download anything else (including app updates) until you've paid off what you owe : Pay an unpaid balance in the iTunes Store - Apple Support
    If you aren't getting the 'problem with a previous purchase' message then try logging into your account (not when trying to download something) and see if you get the 'none' option so that you can remove the card's details and be able to download updates to your apps : Change or remove your payment information from your iTunes Store account (Apple ID) - Apple Support

    Apple has made the accounts more secure and this is security protecol to insure that you are who you claim to be. Are you attempting this on your own Mac or on hers?

    See if this helps. Reboot your router - unplug it from power for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in again. Reboot/reset your iPad as well and then try again.
    Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

    You only can update those Apps, if you know the Passwords from the AppleIDs, which were used for purchase.
    If you´re unable to enter these Passwords you can´t update them.
    You can delete those Apps from your device and purchase & download them again with your own known AppleID.
    There is no other Way to get them updated. Because you are not the owner of those Apps.

    It sounds like you are trying to update some of your apps and when you tap the update button, the update does not happen. I recommend starting by closing the running apps on the phone:
    iOS: Force an app to close

    Double-click the Home button.
    Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
    Swipe the app up to close it.
    When you have done that, sign out of your iTunes account in Settings > iTunes and App Stores, and restart the phone and try to update them again:

    If the issue persists I would next verify that you can find it in your purchased history with ths article:
    Tap App Store.
    Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
    Tap Updates.
    Tap Purchased on the resulting screen.
    So that you can then delete the app and re install it:
    Reinstall the affected app
    Remove the app from your device and reinstall it:
    Tap and hold any app icon on the Home Screen until the icons start to wiggle and show a small "x" in the top-left corner of the app.
    Tap the "x" in the corner of the app you want to delete.
    Tap Delete to remove the app and all of its data from your device.
    Press the Home button.
    Go to the App Store.
    Search for the app and download it again.
    Note: If it's a paid app, make sure you're using the iTunes account you purchased the app with originally. If it isn't, you may be asked to purchase the app again. Learn more about downloading previously purchased items.
