Why am I unable to upgrade to OS X Mavericks?
Hello there,
Since OS X Mavericks came out I went and tried to upgrade ML to Mavericks but somehow when it was downloaded and ready to install I got this following message:
I followed the instructions on how to change the partition but unfortunately the "partition tab" wasn't anywhere.
Why is this and how can I fix it?
Is this because I have Bootcamp and a System Reserved?
Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, click on More Info, and check the model identifier against the following, which are the earliest Macs of each type that can run Mountain Lion and newer:

I just purchased a MacBook pro that is about 4 years old and is running Mac OS X Server 10.6.8, I have read that my Mac should be compatible for an upgrade to Mavericks but went to the app store to purchase it and it didn't work. It says that my processor isn't compatible, but I read that my version of MacBook Pro should be able to upgrade to Mavericks. Why won't it let me upgrade? and also, if I can't upgrade, is this the best software that is compatible for my Mac?
If you can upgrade, check to make sure your applications are compatible. PowerPC applications are no longer supported after 10.6.

Why am I unable to update from firefox 4.0.1 on mac osX 10.6.8 when my Mac meets the requirements?
I have a Mac OSX (10.6.8) with an 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 Processor, 16GB 1067 MHz DDR3 memory and 2TB hard drive.

Here's a screen shot of my cart.
When i press State/Province Select i do not get a list of states or countries. I just get the Select word again, in blue color.
When i press Country, i get a note that says "if you moved pls call 1 800 585 0774..." I have not moved but called them yesterday and the agent said they do not deal with my problem.
Often Puerto Rico falls between the cracks, for many valid reasons; also Revel is just starting so i just have to wait. No big deal in my case, this is not my job. I'm just playing around with Photoshop Elements 7.

And trying to upgrade results in a failure at 6 to 10% everytime? Is this because the V1.1 router is not the same as V1 and requires a different firmware?

Why am I unable to join my wi-fi network with new iPad air using correct password?
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

I'm assuming you clicked on the color patch besides the word <Character> to open the color picker window.
At the right side of this window there is a vertical bar that has 2 horizontal black lines at the bottom.
This is actually a slider. Pull it upwards with the color picker and color will appear in the window. -

Whenever I try to tab my purchased in the update feature of app store; not only does the long list of my previous purchases do not showed up like in IOS 5 do but after a while it just prompt out to the main home page. How do you fix 'unable to upgrade from version 0'?
I have been working on 6 ibooks over the past year, documenting a lot of stuff for user manuals for our school. The ibooks were all created in iBA version 1.0, but are not published - we only use them internally so we just use the previews.
I gave up trying to upgrade my 1.0 iBooks, it takes too long to 'optimize' the files when I try to open them in 2.0. I have read all the issues with iBA 2.0, but decided to download 2.0 on another computer and wabt to try to re-write all my old 1.0 manuals (I have all the files that went into them).
However, when I double-click to open the 2.0, nothing happens. So I go to 'File' and select 'New from Template Chooser'. I then get the window with all the new templates, including the portrait ones. When I select any template, say the 5th one for example, I get the prompt "The document 'Textbook 05.ibatemplate' could not be upgraded. Unable to upgrade from version 0". This happens for every template. I don't understand. I downloaded the 2.0 from the app store onto a 'clean' computer. Yes, it has Lion on it and all the spec requirements to run iBA. Can anyone help me with what to do next?Did you ask Apple for help yet?

I am new to Final Cut Express and don't understand why I am unable to drag transitions into Canvas? Something wrong in my setup? It's not the overlays they are "on" so can anyone advise me please, by the way the "L" doesn't appear in the bottom left hand corner either? and by the way how can I get rid of that irritating Blue badge saying "AutoFill your contact details" all mine are in "address book" already!
You can't drag a transition into the canvas. If you're dragginmg a transition from the effects tab you drag it between the edit point of two clips in the timeline.
Make sure show edit overlays is turned on in the Canvas view popup. -
Why am I unable to send e mails from my iPhone, and get message rejected by server and message put in outbox. I have tried changing server ports but to no avail. I am not very technically minded so any suggestions in laymans terms please. This is a big problem as I work away frequently and need to answer e mails. This also happens when at home and on my own wifi.
