Okay, why am I unable to view videos when I plug my iPod into my computer?

I have a new computer (from school) and when I plug in my iPod, I see the music but no videos or photos. When I set it to auto sync music and select the same for video, the Video menu for my Ipod does not appear using iTune. The video is there on my iPod and all I'm doing is plugging it in. Why can I not find/play it?

I have exactly the same problem. I have checked that the "sync videos" box is ticked under the Movies tab but to no avail.
Another suggestion was to drag the film over the Ipod icon on the menu bar at the left of the page. When I try to do this a little red circle with a diagonal line through it appears over the mouse pointer. I cannot find anywhere on the support pages that explains what this means. The film will open up and play on my pc within itunes. Why won't it sync with the ipod ?
Any other suggestions ?

Does anyone know why Safari is unable to view video files in the browser ??? I used to be able to view .mpg video files right in the browser and when viewing .wmv files Safari would open up Windows Media Player which would then play the file. I really dug that feature. Now when clicking on a .mpg video file, Safari simply downloads the file to my HD and that's it. Is there an easy fix for this issue ??? Hello !!! Anybody ???

Tell the QuickTime plug-in to play the file inside a browser window.
Open System Preferences/QuickTime and click the Advanced tab. Click the MIME Settings button and then put a check mark in MPEG media.
Quit and relaunch your browser for these changes to take effect.

Unable to view videos saved as webarchive files.

I am unable to view videos I saved as webarchive files ever since I installed MountainLion.
Videos saved both before and after the installation won't work anymore.
Does someone know why and what can be done about this?

Which OS are you running (Snow Leopard, Lion, etc). You can check this by clicking on the Mac button on the top left corner of your screen and clicking on "About this Mac"
Also if you have just udated Safari to 5.1.7 (like I just did) old versions of Flash Player are automatically disabled for security reasons, I had to reinstall Flash a couple of minutes ago.

Open your QuickTime control panel (either via the Control panels, or by going "Edit > Preferences > QuickTime Preferences" in the Quicktime Player). In the Advanced tab, uncheck Enable Direct3D video acceleration:

Most of YouTube videos support HTML5, so activate HTML5 > http://www.youtube.com/html5
If after turning on HTML5 you can't watch videos, download Flash > http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer Then, close Safari, install Flash and restart the MacBook Pro. Finally, try to watch a video in YouTube

You need to find out what type of video it is. What your describing is what you get when a Video codec (software that allows you to "see" the video) is missing, damaged, or too old for the movie.
Once you identify what kind of movie it is, then you can update the codec.

Why am suddenly unable to view YouTube Videos on Firefox. I am still able to view on Internet Explorer

I am not able to view any YouTube videos on YouTube or Facebook whilst using Firefox. My Flash Player/Plugin/Shockwave Player & Javascript are all the most recent and all show as up to date and working. On selecting a video to view I now have a blank screen which I have right clicked on & notice there is an Adhoc Plus - Block Image message and wonder if this should be there as this is not the case when viewing through Internet Explorer (which still allows me to view all videos & shows that I have Flash Player installed when I right click on the same screen). I have uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled to see if this would solve the problem but this has made no difference. I have also noticed on my Firewall that Javascript is not showing as an Exception and changed this to find that this has made no difference either. I am now at a complete loss - can anyone help me please as I would like to keep using Firefox. Many thanks

There are a number of active threads concerning the latest Flash player plugin (11.3) and the latest Firefox (13). Not all users are experiencing the same issues, but things to check include the following:
- Conflict with Realplayer Browser Record plugin (to disable this, open Add-ons from the orange Firefox button or the classic Tools menu and look under the Extensions and Plugins categories)
- Conflict with Flash 11.3 Protected Mode (see [http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071?tstart=0 Adobe Forums: How do I disable Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?])

Unable to view videos

Hi all - I am unable to view any videos ( i.e. YouTube, Netflix previews, for example). When I click to view a blank screen comes up. I recently upgraded to Leopard, but it seems that at one time post-Leopard installation I was able to view, but not anymore. Any suggestions? Also, on certain pages I cannot view images and was asked to update Flash, which I did, but still does not work.
I state that upgrading to Leopard was a huge mistake. Nothing but problems.

You have a bad Leopard install. Backup, re-partition your disk, reinstall leopard, don't use "migration assistant", reinstall your applications, copy your documents back over by hand.

For the past week, I am unable to view videos. The page comes up with this comment: "Blocked plug-in" and it suggests that I download the latest version of Flash player. I have downloaded that and still get the same comment. Please help.

I have an iMac11.2 and am running Mac OS 10.6.8. I have not had a problem viewing videos until the past week or so. Now I cannot view videos on my news, facebook or in email messages at all. download and install the latest.
this warning seems to be a part of the newer security updates.
