Why Aperture don't want to import ?

Since yesterday Aperture don't want to import images, and sometiemes even crash.
Any idea why ? And how to resolve this ?
Here is the trace from the console :

Sys is not imported. In fact any schema ending in SYS is not imported.
This is because SYS is the datadictionary, and the datadictionary is automatically recreated during import.
If you have your own tables in the SYS schema, you will loose them, as you can't export SYS.

After adding song to library delete the originals. Then your folder is empty again waiting for more songs to add to library.
Do this only if iTunes is set to copy songs to iTunes folder when adding.

I don't want to import PHOTOS. I want to get only one into Lightroom for temporary work. How do I do this. (the photo is now in Photoshop Elements).

Lightroom is not a file browser, It isn't anything like the organizer in Photoshop Elements. Lightroom uses a catalog, which is a database. That database keeps track of the location of images that have been imported, as well as all of the adjustments that you make to those images using Lightroom. The import process is a process of showing Lightroom where the images are located on your computer. You can't just open an image in Lightroom, make changes and then close it. Lightroom doesn't make changes to the original image. Your images are left in their pristine state. All the changes are stored in the catalog. And when it comes time to share an image that has been adjusted in Lightroom you need to export a copy that includes all of those changes. It's a different workflow, and one that you need to become accustomed to. I suggest that you watch a series of short tutorials that will help you understand more completely how Lightroom works.

Photos keeps wanting to import iPhone pics that I *don't* want to import

I have photos on my phone that I just don't want or need to import into Photos on my Mac. In iPhoto, once I told it that I didn't want to import a photo, iPhoto never asked about it again. In Photos, however, each time I connect my phone, it brings up the same pictures all over again, along with any new ones. So it's essentially asking me over and over to import the same photos that I don't WANT to import.
I've looked in Settings (minimal as they are), but I can't find anything to tell it to ignore those pictures after the first time I say not to import them.
Does anyone have any idea how to have those pictures just ignored by the new Photos app?

Thanks for the responses, but never mind. I realized that I was actually importing them originally and then deleting them from iPhotos. I can do the same thing in Photos. No problem, then.

Don't want to import sys' or any other administrative objects

i want to move data from oracle 8i to 10g and going to use exp and imp utilities.
I just want to import production schema objects and don't want to import sys' or any other administrative objects.
i am new in dba field. plz guide me and tell me that which parameters/options of exp/imp can i use for performing above task.

I don't want to import RAW using CCK

Hi there
I've got the Camera Connector Kit for iPad. Sweeeet
But there's something I don't like: It always imports BOTH RAW and JPG files to the iPad. This fills up the iPad pretty quick... Is there a setting (which I haven't been able to find) which defines which formats to import? In the end I want to import only JPG's. (And no; I don't want to change this setting in the camera )

There is no way to change the behavior of what is imported with the CCK that I am aware of.

You can find the Import menu entry in the Bookmarks Manager (Library)

I don't want to import video clips from iPhoto!

iMovie automatically imports video clips from iPhoto, and I don't need or want this to be done. I don't want to delete or move those clips from iPhoto, so is there a way to prevent the automatic transfer?

Don't want to import special symbols

i am using external table to import csv file into table...but when the csv file contain any special symbols, it is not accepting....it gives some unwanted symbol instead of that specified symbol..say name field in csv file contain ë instead of e...but sql is not accepting the character...Can anyone say how to rectify this problem?

Don't want to import artwork

When I import a CD through iTunes I now also seem to be importing the related album artwork. When I then make a backup of my iPod music on my PC, the music and the album artwork is copied. Is there a way of deselecting the album artwork as an option and simply import the music?

Many thanks for getting back to me. No, it is not ticked. I should also point out that this is happening when I am importing my own CDs into my iPod not with tracks bought from the Store - a service I never use.

I want to import short clips from home movies. How do I do this?

I am wanting to import short clips from old family movies which are on DVD. What is the best program for this? I don't want to import the full DVD just several short clips and then be able to use these clips in imovie.

You'll want to look at DVDxDV Pro. It can select very small segments on a DVD using the expandable timeline. This allows you to find exactly the part of the DVD that you want. It also has an iDVD export preset.
This video shows you how to grab individual clips from the DVD.

I don't want to import all of my photos, just a few. I even made an album of all the photos I want to import.

The free Picasa program allow you to select which one to import as well as importing all. It all allows you to then delete the import photos from the device.

Iphone only wants to import pictures to computer

When I connected my phone to the computer the other day it asked me what I wanted to do when the phone is connected. I thought I just closed it but I must have chose import pictures because that's all my phone wants to do now. When I connect it to the computer a window pops up asking me if I want to import the pictures and I click no or close and it just closes and that's it. I'm not given any other options. Since I'm trying to work with music and not pictures, I'm wondering if there's a way to change what the phone does when it's connected. It used to automatically open ITunes whenever it was connected and I could just go ahead and sync it but it's not even showing up in ITunes. I've been to the forum and tried everything that was suggested. I uninstalled and reinstalled ITunes, I restarted my computer with the phone connected, the apple mobile device driver is there, nothing helps. I have a feeling it all has to do with what the computer wants to do with the phone when it's connected, and that's pictures. If I don't want to import pictures then it doesn't do anything. Where do I change this?

Check that your preferences are correct, under iTunes preferences check that under devices this is unticked, this should mean that iTunes opens when a device is connected
For photos go to iPhoto preferences and choose this option under the general tab
