Why are 720p videos the same size as 1080p videos in the iTunes store?
Normally I rent standard definition videos from the iTunes store. They are around 1.3-2GB in size.
Today I decided to download high definition! But I am confused by the description. Although the video is available in 720p & 1080 p, the size for HD is 5.14GB. Why haven't they mentioned two sizes for HD? And how come you can't choose ?
In my preferences I have selected "prefer 720p", but if I have to download a file that is the same size regardless of 720p vs 1080p, then I would rather download 1080p.

I just got a new printer...Epson R3000...but have had this problem before. It's probably a simple fix, but I can't figure it out. I'm asking for printing on 8.5 x 11 and the image comes out 6.5 x 9.5 every time. Help please! And thanks!
The Epson site stated that the R3000 printer can print borderless however the quality will suffer in the expanded print area. Borderless is not supported on some heavy paper. To me the means your better off limiting you images size to the standard print area. There will be magins about 1/8" on the four sides so the print area on 8.5"x11" paper is 8.26" x 10.76"....
Take note of the print size set by the epson driver it may change depending on the paper type set. Note my first epson 4800 setup where I set 8.5" x 11" sheet paper from tray into the printer setting the driver set a smaller size for the paper which was reflected into the Photoshop Print preview. It shows paper is 8.499" x 10.999 with a small unprintable area across the top....

I just downloaded the Mac app Numbers for the first time today and opened an microsoft excel sheet from my old PC. In every cell where I have a SUMIF function is has an error icon in it. When I click the icon is says, "SUMIF requires that all range arguements are the same size." I tried retyping the function and it did not change. What else can I do to fix this issue? Is SUMIF supported on the Numbers app? Thanks.

Sumif does work in Numbers, all versions. There is just some problem with the import translation of the spreadsheet.

Export PNG's at the same size I have cropped them
Hi, I am exporting frames as PNG's, is there a way to export them at the same size as I have cropped the actual video, when I export them they are then exported at the same size as the actual video and not at the crop size I have set?
I really need them to be exported at the crop size I have set in Premiere Pro, thanks.Ah I see, so if I create a new sequence and set the size it will then export at that size?
I did try resizing using paintshop (all I have atm) but it was losing too much quality.
Also would it be worth investing in photoshop for resizing, does that resize with better quality? -
How do you find the size of a current layer so you can make other layers the same size
When I have an PSD icon set and I want to size a layer to a size that looks good. How do I see the dimentions of that layer so that I can select another layer and make it the same size.
well that's my point Chris. I have a PSD that has 150 icons in it. I want to take 5 of them and make them the same size 300 x 300 from the 180 that they are.
If I select one and then press Apple T, I can see that it is 180 x 180 in the info window. I can then go to the transform bar at the top where it says 100% x 100% and type in 180px then 180px in the other.

Replacing Images with ones the same size

you can use that lets you resize an image to that of the previous
image in a particular table, so as to not affect the rest of the
page. Looking to do this automatically, without the use of any
image editing software.
ThanksWhen you swap images, the incoming image is 'squeezed' to fit
within the
outgoing image's dimensions. There are three ways to
workaround this -
1. Do not use a dimension in the outgoing image's code, e.g.,
<img src="whatever.jpg>
This will allow the incoming image to be displayed at its
native size. But,
the downside is that your page will 'jiggle' to adapte to
that new size if
it's significantly different. This may, or may not, be a
consideration for
your page/needs.
2. Make both images the same size by adding canvas to the
smaller
dimensions so that the dimensions in both height and width
are the same.
This is usually the best way to handle such issues.
3. Don't use image swaps at all - use hidden page elements,
and display
them as needed, perhaps with the Show/Hide Element behavior.

It sounds like you are unable to play a couple of songs from your library becuase you get a message that the computer is unauthorized to play, but other content purchased that same day works without issue. I would verify that the affected songs were purchased with the same Apple ID first:

Highlight one of the items you have purchased (You can find your purchases in your Purchases playlist).
Choose File > Get Info.
Click the Summary tab.
The Account Name area will list the account used to purchase the item. Unless you have changed accounts, this is your iTunes Store account name.
If so, then delete the songs:

The ipad won't sync some photos, saying the file can't be read by the ipad, however it will sync some photos taken at the same time which are the same size and file type. Why does it reject some and accept others?
Hi there. I'm having the same problem: my iPad won't import some photos from a folder, saying that they can't be read. They are all JPEGS and some photos taken at the same time have synched fine, but out of a folder with 200 photos, it only lets me synch 37. I'm synching albums created via Photoshop Elements 6, which has worked fine until now.
I've tried deleting all photos and re-synching, and have also deleted the iPod Photo Cache, but it hasn't made a difference.
The iPad auto-updated to the latest version of iTunes, so maybe that's what's causing it?

Backups to my PC were almost 30 G bytes each time, backup to the Icloud is only 1.4 G bytes. Expecting the backups to be about the same size I subscribed to extra Icloud space. Can I stop my Icloud pace subscription amd get a refund? I have all this extra space and have no use for it. It does not appear there is a way to use this space for other storage purposes.
You can't merge iCloud backups. You could create a current backup of your phone, then restore the backup of your old phone to it and save any data you want to keep, the restore it again to the current backup. Some of your old recovered data could then be synced back to your new phone (such as photos), but other data cannot (such as text message conversations). You may not want to save any of your old data but restoring the backup would be the only way to see what's there.

When I Crop a video it doesn't fill the frame back up, it just outlines it in black and stays the same size
No, I am using the crop function, and the directions say after I press done it will fill the frame, which worked a year ago. Now when using th Crop function, the black area stays black and the cropped video stays the same size. I even shared it to a Master file to see if it would process during sharing, but the black area remained black and the cropped video remained the same size. Still a bit frustrated.

All icons, such as refresh page, back, forward, stop and home etc; are just too small for comfortable use. For now I am uninstalling Firefox 4 and going back to 3.x. even the zoom page icons are too small.

You & I have the same size iMac screen. My resolution setting is 1280x800. Everything fits perfectly in the windows & on desktop including the menu bar.
All info in my windows are showing. I did not need to adjust my browser font size settings. I am sure you are aware of the browser font size settings. I use FF & the settings are in Preferences>Content.
In the Finder window you can enlarge the icons & fonts also.

Can someone please tell me what I have done wrong>? Obviously I am new to iweb, and need help. I recently built a website in iweb with only 5 pages, and I made the height, width, & all of the specs regarding the page size exactly the same, but they all load as different sizes on the website. Also the text i typed loads right away, and the images take forever to load with each page when i look at it on a pc, and not mac. Can someone please help me!!

Small consolation : iWeb is a very advanced piece of software. So advanced that even highly skilled professionals have difficulty understanding and using it.
Anyway, your pages are NOT the same size by design. Which can clearly be seen. But also by checking the source of the pages.
The Home page is 665px wide and the Contact page is 820px wide. That doesn't happen by magic. It's user induced.
So do what I do : pay attention to every tiny detail. Especially when it's your business. No excuse.

A way to resize images so that all are the same size??
I've got a minor complaint about InDesign going all the way back to version 1.0. I have a bunch of square images that I want to drop into a layout and then resize so that they're all the same size, e.g 2 inches wide (constrained height) or something. However, all the tools I've tried to make this work only resize all the images by percent, so the ones that started out larger are still too large. Its frankly a huge source of stress, since there's no easy "Actions" palette as in Photoshop and I don't want to resort to real scripting. Can anyone tell me if there's a way to resize images absolutely in the layout?

select the rest of the frames and use the object>transform
again>transform sequence again individually command.
But you'd really be better off creating one and then using step and
repeat to get them all correct. Use the frame fitting options before
placing any graphics and you'll be good to go.

When exporting to PDF, the pictures are not the same size I "placed" them
I am "placing" pics that are 653 x 983 pixels, 300 DPI, using CS4. However, my issue is when exporting to PDF, the PDF doesn't look like the same size I "placed" the pic until I blow it up to about 350%. I do not have a printer set up to my computer so I can't do the print/pdf option. Am I doing something wrong here? I can't figure it out. Your help is appreciated. Thanks!
Well, right when I open the PDF, it's just way too small, imagine it being the size of a business card. I have to keep zooming in until it gets to the size I originally intended it to be. When I create a new document am I suppose to make it the same size as the picture?
