Why are all contacts changed to United Kingdom on my iPhone and to Deutschland on my iPad after I did a simple backup?

I backed my iPhone only to find that I lost all the new contacts I entered in the iPhone only or better just lost the details e.g addresses, phone numbers but not the names and also all older contacts now have the country "United Kingdom". Have the same problem with my iPad but here all older contacts now have the country "Deutschland" while again I lost all new entered contacts except for the names. However all addresses in Outlook are with the correct country but again all newly entered contacts are missing all details safe for the name

Hello,
I am synching my iPhone 4S with iCloud (push) and also with cable connections.
All contacts are listed twice and all meetings are also listed twice!
Even when I delete the second contact manually it shows up again when I sync - crazy.
I have truned off Google Contacts sync and tried again. But it is still happening.
What can I do?

You either sync your contacts & calendars over the air with iCloud or by USB with your computer...not both at the same time. Doing both will create duplicates.

Have you recently setup iCloud or changed the way you sync contacts?
Check out this article.
If you see duplicate calendars or events after setting up iCloud Calendar
And insure you don't sync contacts with both iTunes and iCloud.
If iTunes 10 and iCloud are both set to keep calendars up to date, consider updating to iTunes 11 or later. Starting with iTunes 11, it's not possible to use both methods at the same time.

Why are my contacts changing on their own?

Every time i write an email to a person on my contact list which I erased his family name from his card, somehow the family name comes back... I erase again, and after I write an email to the person, it comes back... any ideas???

Was this with a brand new email or with a reply to an existing one?
What should happen with the option turned off on a new email is you have to type the entire email address manually (or use the show "Address Book" feature to use an Address Book entry). Did you see something else?
With "Automatically complete addresses" turned on, Mail will search for any email addresses it can find that match what you type, including in older emails. It doesn't all come just from Address Book.

Why are my contacts deleted when I back up my phone and only some restored

Everytime my iphone is backed up, some of my contacts are deleted, why is this and how do I prevent it happening, how do I return the missing contacts?

If they are synced to iCloud and appear on icloud.com, they will reappear on your phone when you sign back into your account. As a precaution, you could use an app like My Contacts Backup to back them up before you restore if you wish. I would also recommend as a precaution that you import your camera roll photos and videos to your computer before restoring, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.

this didn't actually answer my question. The feature request link you sent me to didn't have the mobile apps for creative cloud listed Adobe Idea, Adobe Sketch and Ink and Slide they aren't available for android tablets and Android Phones. These aren't even available for Windows tablets. But they aren't available in the feature request section either.

Why are my contacts birthdays all two days out on my iPhone? They show as correct on my MacBook Pro and my iPad but not my phone. When i try and change them they revert back to being two days out.

Please try the following…
    1.    First check that all your settings are correct, that contact syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
    2.    Make sure the contacts you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' group and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud group (you can do this by checking in groups), non iCloud contacts will not sync.
    3.    If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your contacts are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking contact syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling contact syncing.

In iTunes under my device, under the apps tab, Why are all the options shaded out? I cannot make any changes, select any apps or do anything with the apps. I was able to load a few apps and sync but cannot sync anymore to my phone.

( I search for iChat questions when I have finished in the iChat Forum)
So the menu bar reads iChat, File, Edit, View, Buddies, Video, Window and Help
There is no Buddy List open.
There is no other window for iChat open.
In the iChat Menu you only have access to Status.
Is an item ticked in the list ?
Is this a green (Available item) or Red ( an Away one) ?
Can you access the Accounts option ? (Sitll in the iChat Menu)
Is anything in here ticked ?
In the Window menu any Logged in account should appear in the list (Between the Next Chat and File Transfer items)
It would be useful to know which version of iChat this is.
If no account is ticked (iChat Menu > Accounts) or not showing in the Window Menu, plus you cannot determine the Status and you cannot access the Preferences then you need to access your Home Folder/Library/Preferences
As the Library in the Home Holder is Invisible in Lion you will need the Finder's Go Menu > Go to Folder option (you can use it in earlier OS versions if you want)
Type in:-
~/Library/Preferences
Find the file called com.apple.ichat.plist
Drag it to the Trash and Restart iChat.
This will lose all the settings in iChat that you have changed from Defaults but there is no way around this.

One way this happens is when you previously synced contacts via iTunes/USB cable. If you haven't turned that off in iTunes, then you'll get duplicates from iTunes and iCloud.

Why are all my entries on Icloud 2 hours earlier than they were previously entered. I just noticed this today April 23? They do not match what is on my Ipad or on my imac. Looks like the clocks are not syncronised someplace.

Your post is fascinating because your post header says "today April 24" while your post body says "today April 23" So maybe that is related...
Anyway, make sure all your iCloud devices have Settings > General > Date & Time > Set Automatically = "On".
Also, in iCloud.com, open Calendar, go to Preferences (upper right) > Advanced > and check "Enable Time Zone Support".

Why are all my movies and tv shows from my library now on my ipad with the icloud icon? I have turned off all icloud related services. I have never used it. On top of that, my ipad now gets stuck on step 5 of the sync - waiting for changes to be applied and never finishes.

Hi, go in Settings, under Videos turn off "Show all videos" this will remove the purchased videos to be displayed in the Video app. The same can be done with the music.
As for Step 5, connect you iPad and on the summary Tab, uncheck
"Sync only checked songs and videos". Then wait, it takes a while but this made it work for me after many restore attempts.

Word 2013 uses its own pdf creator engine as far as I know. The step I performed were:
1 - In the save settings I told word to embed fonts (sorry for the language, I have the Italian client)
2 - Export from Word -> Save As -> .pdf adding also the table of contents/index
N.B. I cannot use PDF/A, and in any case it doesn't embed the font
A working solution is to use Acrobat XI to convert it or print with Adobe PDF printer, results:
The problems are 2:
1 - It doesn't create any bookmark and doesn't create links from the table of images to the linked images
2 - Images, also with the preset "High Quality Printing" customized using "No compression", are really ugly and if you zoom a bit more than 100% they totally be s**t. It wasn't that way with PDF created by word.
In the end, or I find they way to open the pdf created by word and embedd the missing font, or I find a way to make Acrobat XI creating bookmarks from the word file.
Suggestion?

Why are my contacts only partially downloaded to icloud and also in a different format? I want them to be exactly the same as on my iphone 4.

Why are my contacts that i am now saving, saving as unified contacts?

I saved a contact in my phone and only the name and number, but when i went back in to view the contact its showing as unified info, and i didnt put all the info listed under that contact in i.e. Twitter account, facebook, address, etc. why are my contacts now being saved that way and how come peoples full names, or facebook names showing up in the text if they are not even saved into my contact list?

This is being caused by using the same Apple ID for iMessage. To fix this you have two choices:
On all but one of the phones go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a different ID. Note: you can still share the same ID for purchasing in Settings>iTunes & App Stores; or
On all of the phones go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and uncheck the email address(es) shown under "You can be reached by iMessage at".
