Why are all my apps asking for permission again?
For some reason, the majority of my apps started asking for permission to use my photos, location, microphone or any other part of the system that requires permission upon first lunch. I did not do any system updates recently nor have I reset any warnings in the settings. Anybody else have this issue or know what could be causing it?
You won't be charged for downloading free apps (or other free items), you will only get a temporary store holding charge ($1 or the approximate local equivalent) to check that the card details are correct and that the card is valid, which will disappear within a few days or so.
But unless you used the instructions that I linked to in my previous reply when creating the account, then you won't be able to download anything (including free items) until you enter your card details.

You need to click on EACH program to read the requirements for THAT program
System requirements | After Effects- Intel Core2 Duo or AMD Phenom II processor with 64-bit support
System requirements | Adobe Premiere Pro- Intel Core2 Duo or AMD Phenom II processor with 64-bit support
And so on... if the INDIVIDUAL page does say 64bit the program does not REQUIRE 64bit -

Running a Mid 2011 iMac with 10.8 and 16Gig ram
I uninstalled my versions of CS6.
Downloaded CC for desktop.
Noticed that not all the apps could be downloaded.
Checked my Account details, there were some fields empty. Filled in the missing info.
All apps now could be downloaded from CC desktop.
Downloaded Apps. When I opened them they all are starting in trial mode.
I think I had done all your suggestions you have on your help pages.
Still no joy.
So
Uninstalled all CC Apps.
Downloaded them again.
When I open them, same problem.
Help!

Why are all my apps missing in iTunes when I backed everything up to my computer?
I just upgraded to the iPhone 5 and backed everything up as required (iCloud & computer). However, all my apps are gone from iTunes and non of my apps transfered to my iPhone 5. Can someone tell me how to retrieve my all my apps?

JoeAlright, your best bet might to be to use the restore from iCloud option, as it will redownload all the apps from your prior device (definitely make sure you're connected to WiFi when you're attempting to do it so that you don't eat through your data plan).
First you'll want to verify that your old iPhone 4 backup is still in iCloud (you can check from your iPhone 5):
On your Home Screen, tap Settings
Tap iCloud
Tap Storage & Backup
Tap Manage Storage
Select the device you want to manage
You should see a backup for the iPhone 4 if there is one. If you tap on that backup, it will give details such as when it was last backed up and the backup size. You'll just want to know that the last backup was able to complete. If you have the iPhone 4 backup still, then you're good to go.
If you decide to proceed with the restore (definitely your call and not mine), go all the way back out to the first Settings page.
In Settings, tap:

Erase All Content and Settings
How content is restored to a new device
When you go through Setup Assistant on a new device running iOS 5 or later, choose "Restore from iCloud Backup" and enter your iCloud account and password. You will see the three most recent backups for each of the devices on which you enabled Backup. Choose which backup to restore from.
After your device restarts, your settings and accounts are restored and Backup starts downloading your purchased music, movies, TV shows, apps, books, Camera Roll, and other content.
Note: You may be prompted to enter the passwords for all accounts enabled on your device. You may also be prompted to enter the password for for any iTunes, iBookstore and App Store accounts for which iCloud Backup is attempting to restore content.
A progress bar will appear underneath the apps that are being downloaded. To prioritize the restore of a specific app, tap its icon. Restore will attempt to download the same version of the app that you had installed previously. If that version is no longer available, the latest version of the app will be restored.

Hi, my apps all have .app at the end, why is that, how can I remove it.
To identify them to the operating system as applications. All applications use the same ".app" extension just like all MS Word documents use ".doc" or ".docx". They provide information the OS needs so it knows what to do when you double-click on a file.

Firewall keeps constantly asking for permission
Everytime I boot my Mac it keeps asking for incoming network pemission for the same applications.
In the individual cases these are the following apps: Billings.app, Billings Server Admin.app, Daylite Server Admin.app, ScanSnap Manager.app.

I think so. Especially if the apps concerned want to open non-standard ports for outside apps to connect to, and possibly they are choosing different ports each time. Contact the manufacturers to see if they have some support, forum etc.

I don't think so; there should be visible warnings about expired or invalid or non-existent certificates. You could check Console, All Messages. Note the time one of the apps asks for permission and see what messages appear at that time.

I purchased a song from iTunes but it will not play in iTunes or on my nano. When I attempt to play it, a get asked for my account and pw. When these are provided, I get asked for them again. Is there a way to get my purchased song to play or get my account credited for this purchase?

In iTunes under my device, under the apps tab, Why are all the options shaded out? I cannot make any changes, select any apps or do anything with the apps. I was able to load a few apps and sync but cannot sync anymore to my phone.

So the menu bar reads iChat, File, Edit, View, Buddies, Video, Window and Help
There is no Buddy List open.
There is no other window for iChat open.
In the iChat Menu you only have access to Status.
Is an item ticked in the list ?
Is this a green (Available item) or Red ( an Away one) ?
Can you access the Accounts option ? (Sitll in the iChat Menu)
Is anything in here ticked ?
In the Window menu any Logged in account should appear in the list (Between the Next Chat and File Transfer items)
It would be useful to know which version of iChat this is.
If no account is ticked (iChat Menu > Accounts) or not showing in the Window Menu, plus you cannot determine the Status and you cannot access the Preferences then you need to access your Home Folder/Library/Preferences
As the Library in the Home Holder is Invisible in Lion you will need the Finder's Go Menu > Go to Folder option (you can use it in earlier OS versions if you want)
Type in:-
~/Library/Preferences
Find the file called com.apple.ichat.plist
Drag it to the Trash and Restart iChat.
This will lose all the settings in iChat that you have changed from Defaults but there is no way around this.

How did the Amex App access my location without asking for permission first?
I just downloaded the Amex App and started using it, put in my info and logged in. Checked balances and things then logged out. After going to my settings I noticed Amex was turned on under Location Sevices and that it had accessed my location earlier. It did not ask me if I allow or not when I was logging in the App earlier. This is the first time that my location was accessed without permission from any app or safari. I realize once you allow the permission it doesn't ask again, but in my case I just downloaded the app and used it the first time. Is this how some apps may do it, without permission? I thought Apple was big on these kinds of things?

Asking For Permission To Connect To iTunes.app
Why am I asked for permission for the iTunes.app to connect online every time I launch it? Is there a way to shut this off or do I have to endure this alert each and every time I launch iTunes. Most of the time I don't even want to go online but it still asks. I'm getting a little tired of it.

After Updating My Mac Keeps Asking for Permission on Certain Apps
Hi guys,
I have this problem where my MBPr asks for permission repeatedly to allow one of my apps to access the internet after I updated to Yosemite (NOTE: I didn't have this problem on my previous versions of OS). It is listed on my firewall as allow incoming connections, and it doesn't make sense for me to have to keep allowing it.
It is also the same case with the app that I have allowed access to use the accessibility feature of my mac. Every time I launch, I have to give permission even though it is already listed on my accessibility preference to have permission.
This is what I have done to try to fix it but to no avail: Deleting the app from both of the allowed list and re-adding it again.
I use this app all the time, and having to repeat this process over and over and over again becomes irritating. I would like to have my MBPr to not have to require to keep asking me this, can anyone help me?
The app in particular is Steam.app

Why does my wife's calendar app ask for the password to my calendar account?
My wife and I used to have iPhone 4's. We each have a Google calendar, and we had our calendar apps set up so that each iphone would show both calendars. We never had any trouble.
Recently my wife and I switched to iPhone 5c's. Since then, whenever my wife tries to enter something into the calendar, the app asks for the password to my account. I don't have that problem on my phone. I'm pretty sure the phone apps are set up the same way. What gives?It is possible that those 2 calendars are syncing Google accounts and being shared. My friend shares her calendar with me and it shows up in my calendar.
