Why are attached videos so small??

I'm trying to get my dad's new Mac Mini set up for him, and the only thing we ran into that we couldn't get figured out is that if someone sends him an email w/ an attached video, it's almost unwatchably small in the Mail application. Does he have to download it & open it w/ a media player to see it in a decent size or can you change the size that Mail plays videos?

You can't control this with the Mail.app or with any email client that I'm aware of.
When saving the attached video file from the message to another location such as the Desktop and double-clicking on the file to open and watch the video, it will be the same/similar size as provided in the message.
If a QuickTime video for example, you can double the size of the video for viewing purposes with QuickTime settings from the menu bar but the quality/sharpness of the video will be reduced.

Why are certain videos that I have taken with my iPhone not supported by Aperture? That's weird. I expect that since both iPhone and Aperture are Apple products, file support should be seamless between the two.
Also, iPhone 4 does not appear as Camera Model in the metadata of the unsupported video file in Aperture . But other videos I have taken with the same iPhone 4 appear in Aperture and the Camera Model appears correctly. Why is that?

Have you done some cleaning and cleared caches on your Mac? Maybe the com.apple.xpchelper.cache file is missing. Check the folder /System/Library/Caches/

If this file should be missing, you need to restore it from a backup or reinstall it by reinstalling your system.

I made a TON of edits in a video group, then duplicated that group into another file... and all my edits are gone.
I spent hours working on this, so please let me know what the hell happened and how I can make sure it never happens again...
also--why would CS6 come with such a devastating feature?!?! Who came up with this???

I did not see any reference to Save, Save_As, or Save_As_a_Copy. Did you use one of those?

Why are my videos not playing the right way up

I took four video clips while on a trip this week. Two are oriented the right way (playing wide on the device and imported correctly). The other two are Tall and not oriented right. Orientation is 90 degrees to the right. I don't know why this is happening on occasions. Even some pictures I took did the same **** thing. It's weird. And I can't figure it out. The camera is held the way I want the pictures and videos to be recorded and played but something internal is turning these videos and pictures 90 degrees clockwise.

Large number macpros in the lab are on extented cables from monoprice none exhibit any problem. All are using 10.8.2 and upgraded from earlier versions. Their is no software bug.

If you resintall iTunes, it should fix the issue. The following document will go over how to remove iTunes fully and then reinstall. Depending on what version of Windows you're running you'll either follow the directions here:

Why are all videos taken on my Cannon Rebel EOS T31 all of a sudden blurry?

I have a Cannon Rebel EOS T3i. I have had it for about 3 months. Everything was okay, but for the last month all the video I have tried to take come out blurry. It wasn't that way before. Does anyone have an idea of what I might have done, or why all the videos are blurry? Thanks for any help you can give.

Autofocus on DSLR's for film has been mostly a pipe dream until recently. The feature is there and it can work in some instances where very little movement is occurring but basically, the technologies of autofocus and DSLR video, for whatever reason, are newer in development than your camera (and mine) This simply means that you need to learn to manual focus. This is not too bad for a film maker, because he/she wants to get a great and very specific focus generally (in one situation - near, in another - far.) But if you're filming your granddaughter's birthday party or a football game, you're going to find it quite challenging. The technology is not really for that. Honestly, your salesperson should have informed you of this. Better autofocus is gotten out of camcorders. They bring everything into focus instead, and the depth of field is what a filmmaker would consider boring.
I hope this helps. You can get your $$ out of a DSLR on ebay if you desire to move on.

Ever since downloaded Adobe Creative Cloud, the words in the Adobe window are always very very small. I can't maximize the window or zoom in. It's ver diffcult to read the small letters.

Why are some video frame sizes smaller than others?

I am copying a number of short amateur digital video movies onto a single DVD. All are 16:9 ratio, but whereas most fill the screen on my computer monitor and 16:9 ratio television, some appear as a smaller picture - still 16:9 ratio, but with a black border around all four sides of the picture. Can someone please explain what causes this, and is it practical to enlarge the smaller picture movies to match the full screen ones, or will the image quality be noticeably poorer? If it's practical to do, how do I do the enlarging? Thank you.

WHY ARE E-MAILED PHOTOS SMALL

I HAVE SOME PHOTOS that in iphoto show up beaarutifully in full screen! However when I go to share and choose email and "Actual Size (full quality") when they are sent the recipient gets a photo that is pixelated and blurry at full screen. First I thought it was because when yo click on them from mail they open in preview, however even if you save them from the email to iPhoto when you open them in iPhoto they show us as a small photo like 2 x 3" in the center of a big black mask that fills the rest of the screen.
What an I doing wrong?
These are jpeg files and the originals as I said look fine at full screen and I tried to mail them first as large then as Actual size and in both cases had similar results.

When attaching an image in Mail have a look at the bottom, right-hand corner of the compose window - there is a drop down menu where you can choose 'Small, Medium, Large, Actual Size'. You can select a size and make it the default.

Why are 720p videos the same size as 1080p videos in the iTunes store?

Normally I rent standard definition videos from the iTunes store. They are around 1.3-2GB in size.
Today I decided to download high definition! But I am confused by the description. Although the video is available in 720p & 1080 p, the size for HD is 5.14GB. Why haven't they mentioned two sizes for HD? And how come you can't choose ?
In my preferences I have selected "prefer 720p", but if I have to download a file that is the same size regardless of 720p vs 1080p, then I would rather download 1080p.

Why are my videos showing up in "Recently Added" but not in TV Shows or Movies?

I didn't have a problem adding videos to iTunes for several months, but now videos are not appearing in the right places. For some reason, they appear in the Recently Added playlist, but they are not showing up in the Movies section (which is where they had all gone before). The video plays fine if I play the file from Recently Added.
The files are mp4 format converted with Handbrake, which I have used for a long time without issue.
2011 iMac OSX 10.7.3 & iTunes 10.6.1 (7)
My research into the issue has found that some users experience metadata info missing from files. I ran some of the recommended programs that automatically add metadata to videos, but still had no luck adding. The issue is with every single mp4 file I add, and it just suddenly started.
If I click "Get Info" on a file, they are listed as being sorted as a Movie. If I change it to TV Show or Music Video then click OK, no changes are saved and file goes no where.
I get no Error Message when adding to iTunes.
I hope I have provided enough information. I'm eager to hear your answers!

Update:
Still having issues getting new videos to show in the "Movies" or "TV Shows" categories of iTunes. However, last night I discovered that Home Sharing on my iPad lists the newly imported videos in the Movies category (iPad & Video app). So, the files aren't corrupt or anything like that. It just seems like I need to 'refresh' the Movies page. Is that possible?
Since I can see the files on the iPad now, I want to remove the extra copies of movies I imported. But, since I can only find them in Playlists, how can I delete them?

In the past, all I need to do to view my video playlist was to use the iPod app. However, after the iOS 5 update, it appears that the iPod app is gone and its closest equivalent is the music app, which does not list any of my videos that I *know* are present on the iPad. Does anyone have an idea of how to deal with video playlists after the iOS 5 update?
