Why are BBC radio stations no longer available on Apple TV?
The BBC radio stations are suddenly no longer available via my Apple TV.
This has happened before but they came back again.
Is there a reason for this?
It appears the BBC no longer provides a high and low rate stream for each station. I had BBC Radio 6 Music High as a favourite which stopped working about a week ago. A couple days later a message came up saying that station was no longer available and offering to remove it as a favourite. I went back to the Alternative category and found it just listed as BBC Radio 6 Music which works. I now have that as a favourite.
There is now a single listing for the other Beeb stations. BBC Radio 1 is under Top 40/Pop, Radio 2 is under Adult Contemporary, Radio 3 under Classical and Radios 4 & 5 under News/Talk. I dont know if some of the specialty stations are there, or if they were even there before.

I am receiving a message on each BBC station on my BT Internet Reciva radio device that Real Media stream is no longer available from the end of May. Can anyone advise how I get to use my internet radio again?
The BBC Real media streams have been gradually disappearing but don't worry - there are WMA alternatives for all of them, and internet radio is alive and well. BBC internet radio has been in a bit of a muddle recently as they switch to iPlayer. I think they took their eye of the ball with regard to internet radio sets for a while.

http://www.iplayerconverter.co.uk/ also has a lot of good feeds "prepacked" for all the BBC stations - you can put them in your podcast section on reciva.com - I often find that is the best way of getting what I want. I have a feed for each BBC station I want, from that site, one for "today" and the other for "listen again" and they are all available on the radio screen once you have programmed them all in via reciva.com interface.
I also have a BT Internet Radio and it is still doing everything it used to do. No - they aren't available any more, but there are other models out there - all discussed at reciva.com.

Hi All, I have purchased a BBC top gear magazine subscription thru the App Store about 6 months ago. This bbc app is no longer available to download in Australia because of the Australian version of the mag now being available. Firstly the app symbol has completely disappeared from my ipad. I can still locate my original purchase in settings>newsstand and subscriptions updates are enabled. My second problem is I cannot download any new magazine editions because a message says I need to update the app. Since their is no app to update on my ipad and the app no longer exists/ is available in App Store Australia I'm kind of stuck. The app is available in the USA App Store but I cannot join because I'm not a resident of the us. Any help would be appreciated thanks Fassihire
I think your best bet here is to contact the app developer. Sounds like you need advanced troubleshooting that someone who is a part of the app would know best how to resolve. Best of luck.

Anyone know why itunes BBC radio is not working?
For the last 24 hours none of the BBC radio stations seem to be working through itunes. They are still working on WMP, anyone have any ideas or experiencing the same thing?
I think I first noticed the failure on Monday (14 Oct) around midday UTC. It was on
Radio 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5live (and perhaps others I didn't test). The world service feed
still works fine. I was in Chicago at the time but subsequently have seen the same
behavior in Ann Arbor and Washington DC.
I sent a complaint to the BBC and finally got a reply a few minutes ago. It was useless.
The person paid no attention to the fact that I wasn't using their iPlayer and simply
told me that there are sometimes rights restrictions on sporting events. I haven't
decided whether to pursue it furtherwith them since it's incredibly difficult to file a
report through their website. Sigh. -

The offering list does not look any different to me. The 15 or so I have flagged are all still there. You would need to contact the pod caster and ask why they stopped distributing their pod cast via iTunes.

After update an internet radio station no longer works.
After iTunes 12.1 update an internet radio station no longer works. Prior iTune internet radio station works fine.
I now believe the problem with IE9 was not related to HP, but to a Windows Update replacement to the “Intel Corporation - Display - Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family” drivers: Intel Corporation Display software update released in February, 2011 (useless link http://winqual.microsoft.com/support/?driverid=20411791). IE9 started working OK when I set “Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering*” (see http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1678709 with reference to “faulting module igdumdx32.dll”), so will now investigate removing that update.
Sorry to have cast aspersions on HP. MS did this to themselves, as usual. -

All one gets from the download drop-down menu is:
(480p), (240p) or (360p) for example and the name of the video of course.
The way it is now, I cannot identify the type of video I am downloading as I could before.

Your assumptions are incorrect. Not all Youtube videos are offered in other formats; some are only offered in FLV format. Generally, only the very HD ones are offered in MP4. The format in which videos are offered are the decision of Youtube and/or the original poster of the video.
I opted to not pay for the VDH converter. There are FREE converters that will convert FLV to other formats, but they do not interface with VDH. Even the VDH converter is a 2-step process (in both manual or automatic mode). The converter that is included free with VDH will put an ugly icon/watermark on your converted video--every frame of the video. To find a free converter, just Google "free flv converter" (with the quotation marks). -

Assuming that you purchased Logic from the Appstore, did you download all the additional content?
Go to the Logic Pro menu and choose "Download Additional Content".... there's loads to download, so it is probably best to do it in batches.

Radio stations in I-Tunes to Apple TV
HI all, I want to stream radio stations from i-tunes to Apple TV to play on the speakers with my stereo system. I have added the station to a playlist, they work fine on my Mac. On the Apple TV when I click on that playlist it says no music. If I add a song, it only sees that one song. Any ideas?
open the radio station and if there is not an airplay icon on the toolbar, or maybe in a pulldown from the tool bar you won't be able to do it. Why not just check to see if the same channel is available (likely it is!) directly on ATV2?

I think the easiest way to do this is to have the EyeTV app running in one user account and sent via HDMI to the TV, and use a separate user account for Screen Sharing. Both logins can be active at the same time and with Lion you can connect via screen sharing to which ever login you need.
With regards to the Mac video resolution changing, when it is not the current input on your AV receiver. This is 'normal', if the Mac sees no signal it drops down the a lower level. What you need is to buy a HDMI Detective Plus which tricks the Mac in to always seeing a signal and hence it will not drop down the resolution. See http://www.gefen.com/kvm/dproduct.jsp?prod_id=8005
The Mac mini does have an IR receiver. This can be used with the EyeTV app, iTunes, and similar. Yes I believe EyeTV would run for prolonged periods quite happily, it is has been around for a long time and had most of the rough edges polished off. However one issue you will have to deal with is that it does not automatically update its program guide data. For this you might have to write or modify an AppleScript. Elgato support or their user forums will be a lot of help.
You can set EyeTV to convert recordings to an iTunes (Apple TV) compatible format and then delete them from EyeTV.
The HDMI Detective should solve your handshaking problems. -

Since I have previously purchased this concert movie , why is it no longer in the iCloud servers available to download or even more strange why is the 2003 concert movie available and not 2012 Live ?

wave of new album buzz and promotion a 2012 piece of art can be ignored.
After watching the NBC special i immediately have fond memories of 2012 LIVE and I know it is available as a blue ray , so all is not lost, but in this new era of cloud computing from an iPad Air , aside from backing up on an airport extreme router , I can always hope my content will return considering the meta data of my previous purchase should push it back to my iCloud library. Meanwhile whether it's licensing, country regions of sale , or a server software glitch , who knows ,the wireless experiment must go on ! Even if it's repackaged the aesthetic value of that piece is worth repurchase !
Let me know concert movie fans if similar mishaps have effected your iCloud libraries.I did not fail to keep a local copy. Fortunately, I have an iMac and I downloaded the movie when it was still in my purchased items list. I would imagine, however, that there are many people who only own an iPad/iPhone and/or an Apple TV and don't own a computer and therefore lost the ability to stream this item from iTunes. This, after all, was the promise of the "Post-PC world" that Apple was "ushering in" (and yes, I recognize that the person who said this at the 2011 WWDC keynote - the SVP of iOS Software - is no longer employed by Apple).
And I do understand that content creators can remove items from the store, or modify "something" in the original (perhaps that even applies to "modified" artwork) and require people to re-purchase the item. In fact, I hope it occurs more often with movies, and perhaps even TV shows and music and books (sorry, you have to re-purchase the book because we replaced the original with one containing a new forward). Maybe then people will see that they are not actually "purchasing" the items at all, and that the whole "iTunes in the Cloud" is, at best, nothing more than a marketing gimmick.
