Why are itunes photo galleries on iphone grainy?
i never had this problem with the iphone 4s but my iphoto galleries synced via itunes to my phone result in grainy pictures. the thumbnails are clear but the screen size picture is grainy. how can i have the bigger photo be clear also?
If you are choosing the "last 12 months" from the Photos section of your iTunes sync settings, you are viewing photos that were imported to iPhoto in the last 12 months. If you checked Automatic Import in iPhoto>Preferences>iCloud, then your photo stream photos were being automatically imported to your iPhoto events. Even if you delete them from photo stream they would still be in your iPhoto events, and would be available to sync back to your phone from the Photos section of your iTunes sync settings.

Any ideas?The camera roll contains photos actually taken on your device, or saved from text messages, emails, websites, etc. Because of this you shouldn't expect both devices to have the same photos in the camera roll.
The my photo stream album is also usually differerent on your devices. This happens because photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days (even though they stay on your devices longer). When you enable photo stream on a device, it can only receive photo stream photos still in iCloud, which are those from the last 30 days. A consequence of this is that unless you enabled photo stream on both devices within 30 days of each other, one is likely to end up with fewer photo stream photos than the other. -

When I download via ios7 on to my macbook pro (4,1 from 2008) they sometimes come up with no image. My screen is unlocked. I don't know if this is an iphone problem or a macbook problem. I have never had a problem until yesterday. I moved to ios7 a few days ago.
Not that I know of. I just checked my phone settings and did not see anything. Plus, a while ago I went to my "personal" account on another part of my macbook and everything worked fine. Now, on my "business" account it says that my iphoto library is locked and wants to repair it even though both of my account are administrator accounts. I am worried about losing files as when I let Apple update earlier this year, it wiped out much of my library from the last 18 months.

Told me to try unchecking the box to sync Photos.
Do a sync.
Then check the box.
And sync again.

This means you have 4Gb of photos in your trash.
Go to Photos - recently deleted (an option in the same menu as "camera roll" and "photo stream") and finally delete the photos.
The 4Gb of space will then be cleared. -

Generally I would not use Facebook for sharing any photos, it compresses the photos substantially, and when you have shadows and dark colours you get visible "bands" where there should be subtle gradients, ie at sunsets and sunrises.
It sounds like you are using two methods to upload to Facebook:
1. Sharing from within Aperture, which basically syncs Facebook with your Aperture album, so any changes made at either end gets synced, hence the deletions from Albums, although the original file should still be in your library, just removed rom the album. It is like a playlist in iTunes.
2. Exporting pics and uploading to Facebook from the browser.
I am not sure how method 1 gets compressed, but I know that uploading hi-res jpegs to Facebook using method 2 results in poor quality images.
I wouldn't even bother comparing option 1 or 2, and they will both be poor images once you view them on Facebook, as opposed to viewing uploaded images on proper image sharing / hosting sites.
Your problem is not with Aperture, it is using Facebook for showing your work.
If you export pics form Aperture at high res jpegs or TIFFs your images will be fine.
If you insist to use Facebook as your way to share your work, then your workflow should be this:
1. Right click images you want to share.
2. Select Export version.
3. Export as 100% size and ensure the export settings are set at 100% quality.
4. Upload this pic into Facebook.
This will get you the best image size and resolution on Facebook.

Why are iTunes updates a joke. the newest updates wipe out my 64 bit and does not recocnise my iphone or ipad. The only one that will work is 10.5.2 but iphone is not supported.

Because you did it wrong? It's hard to know unless you tell us what you did.
What should work:
Select the photos you want to share
File -> Export and export them to a folder on the desktop. Burn that to the disk with the Finder.

iPhotos is still in your Applications folder. The iPhoto Library is still in your /Home/Pictures/ folder.

You really will need to give some information before anyone can help. Is this in the Finder? Or some application? What on earth does "scrambled" mean?

Yes, you can't. The default order in the main window is based on date, ascending or descending when you are in the standard 'thumbnail view'. If you are in 'folder' view, with your folders shown in the left panel, you are shown the pictures in alphabetical order of the file names.
I haven't created albums yet.
I have so many pictures. I wanted to put all the pictures for each album next to each other so I can find them easily.
It's not difficult to create albums and 'drag' pictures in it. When an album is selected, you can move your pictures around in any order in the main window panel.
Albums are one way of grouping and ordering pictures. You should try to use keywords to organize and retrieve your pictures. -
Why are some photos on camera roll but not in photo stream. Unable to backup as camera roll size is too big for free 5gb.
I assume you have Photostream on, correct?
In order for the photos to be moved into Photostream, you must exit the camera app, and be on a wifi connection. Both of these criteria must be met before the sync occurs. -
