  • TS1702 Why are my apps updates and apps remaining in the "waiting" and "pause" state?

I get update notices for my apps but when I click to update my apps remain in the "waiting" and "Pause" state.
I have tried powering down my phone and restarting it to see if that will resovle the problem but it's not correcting the problem.
I have deleted several apps just to remove them.
    Anyone have any suggestions?

Try tapping the App, so that it changes to Paused instead of Waiting, then tap it again to resume the install.
Make sure you don't have any paused downloads in other apps either, like the iTunes Store.
You can also try resetting or restoring the iPhone.
And, if that doesn't do it, try contacting Apple through Express Lane.

  • Why are my app updates not transfering to my ipad when i sync with my desktop?

Why are my app updates not transfering from my desktop when I sync?

I have updated my apps on my desktop and then I am syncing my Ipad. I just transferred everything to a new desktop and now my update to my games, etc. Are not coming across to my Ipad like they used to. I am not receiving an error message. I can transfer my new purchases to my desktop, but it isn't going the other way.

  • How are your app sales and download numbers?

Does anyone want to share their app sales and download numbers?
Perhaps with knowledge of which apps are doing well and which are not doing so well we can all better understand how to present our apps on the marketplace.
I'm yet to release a Windows 8 app, but I did have some success on Windows Phone 7 with a couple of hundred thousand downloads of free apps.

Andy, the drop day appears to be Mondays for Category.
However, for our app, the drop day is more like Wednesday.
Our app is in the Productivity Category.  1/17 to 2/17 the Day of Week breakout is below -

The productivity category seems to suffer on Mondays
Our downloads suffer on Wed and Thur.
There do appear to be some intra week cycles going on.
Quite frankly, we've made no progress on the understanding 85% drop in download cliff we've gone over.  I don't wish that on any app developer.  Especially in this environment of lots of questions and no answers :(

  • App updates and downloads

My apps that are posted as needing to be updated will not update. The blue circle begins to circle as if trying to update then stops, and goes back to saying update. Also, app won't download, same as updates, when you push download, it circles for a few seconds, then stops.

Strange.... I had that problem with some applications, still happens some times... I just turn off the device (in my case iPod Touch, don't know yours) but truly turn it off HOLD the to button until the red bar appears to turn it off.
Then turn it back on, and the app that didn't start up or always crashed now works.
I also couldn't install updated apps on my iPod, that was until I updated my iPod Touch to the latest firmware... check if you truly have the latest firmware, maybe that's your problem!
As the page limit... I have always wonder myself what is the limit!! There I really can't help you!

  • Why are my apps (updates & new apps) not downloading?

I am wondering why the apps that I update of apps that I already have on my IPhone and also any new apps that I try to download won't download. It continues to say "waiting". This even happens when I am connected on a "wifi network".

I have the IPhone 4 (3G). Which setting are you talking about?
It happened again this morning. I had updates to 7 different apps today. So I went through the process of starting the updates. At the time I was @ home connected to my home wireless network which is the N protocol router (wifi). None of them would download while I was at home. While I was on the 3G driving to work they still said waiting. Even when I got to work, they continued to say waiting. I connect to a wifi network when I am @ work also. It was like this for at least a half hour or more and then all of them will download quick. It really seems like it is some kind of "throttling" that either Verizon or the App Store is putting on me. I understand that if I am on Verizon's 3G network that this is a possibility but when I am on several different wifi networks and it still continues is where I am concerned that I might be having more of a problem.
    Any advice would be appreciated!
    Thank you!

  • Why won't apps update or download new ones?

I am having trouble getting my iPad to update apps or download new ones.  It worked great last night.  Any ideas?

See if either of these things help.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Why does the App store say 'download' to OSX Mavericks when i have already downloaded the update, and restarted the computer?
I can't find Mavericks icon on the dashboard or launchpad either! Help!

It sounds like you've installed Mavericks.  You can confirm this by clicking on the Apple located at the top left of the screen and choosing "About This Mac" from the menu.  You should see a window appear with the text "Version 10.9.1" near the middle.
If it says "Version 10.9.1", then you've installed Mavericks.  It still says "Download" in the App Store because you can still download the operating system after installing it.  This is useful if you want to download it for a friend, or create a USB boot drive.

  • Why are my apps taking a long time to update both on my phone and iPad?

Why are my apps taking a long time to update both on my phone and iPad?

    Hi ariasm21,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If the App Store on your iPhone seems unresponsive or app updates are not completing, try the steps below.
First force close the apps using these steps:
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app's preview up to close it.
These steps come from this article:
iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
    Next, restart your device:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Try updating an app again. If the issues persist, you may want to troubleshoot your internet connection next:

  • Why are my apps not downloading?

Why are my apps not downloading? They just sit there waiting and I keep getting an error saying that my purchases cannot be downloaded at this time and to try again later. I have tried logging out and in, and rebooting but neither has worked

Same problem here.  Not able to update any apps or to download new purchased music.  Doesn't work on iPad, iPhone, or iTunes.  Tried with 3G download rather than wifi on the phone and iPad.  It still hasn't worked.  I changed me credit card, but without success.
The store is currently broken for some users, maybe all.
