Why are my bookmarks not in the dropdown menu?

I upgraded to the Firefox 4 beta version and none of my bookmarks show up in the dropdown menu. Id also like to point out thatnone of my previously saved passwords show up and Firefox doesnt ask me if i want to save them when i enter them. Im not sure if these are just bugs in the beta version but if they could be fixed that would be a great help.

Create a new profile exclusively for the 4.0 beta version and create a desktop shortcut with -P "profile" appended to the target to launch that profile.

Do you see the bookmarks if you click the new bookmark button on the Bookmarks Toolbar or on the Navigation Toolbar if the Bookmarks Toolbar is hidden?
This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

They should be. If you have lost bookmarks try restarting Safari:
1. Press the Home button
2. Double click the Home button to bring up the "Recent Apps" tray.
3. Touch and hold on the Safari icon in the "Recent Apps" tray until a "-" appears.
4. Touch the "-" to terminate Safari.
5. Restart Safari and see if your Bookmarks are back.

Why are my videos not playing the right way up

I took four video clips while on a trip this week. Two are oriented the right way (playing wide on the device and imported correctly). The other two are Tall and not oriented right. Orientation is 90 degrees to the right. I don't know why this is happening on occasions. Even some pictures I took did the same **** thing. It's weird. And I can't figure it out. The camera is held the way I want the pictures and videos to be recorded and played but something internal is turning these videos and pictures 90 degrees clockwise.

When I try to bookmark a page the dropdown menu only shows 4 of my many bookmark folders.

I have a heck of a lot of bookmark folders. These show up in the dropdown menu when I click on Bookmarks in the toolbar. However just today when I try to bookmark a web page, I only am given offered four folders in which to file the bookmark. Clicking on "choose" doesn't show any folders at all that I've created. Same thing when I open MF in safe mode with addons not enabled.
If I click on "Bookmarks menu" in the bookmark window then click on the arrow to chose a file, I see an odd assortment of random bookmarks and files.
To complicate matters, perhaps: This morning Firefox went crazy. Details don't matter now. I followed instructions in MF support and saved critical files. Then uninstalled and reinstalled a new copy of MF. Created a new profile and moved critical files into it.
Am I missing a file? Is something corrupted? (How would I find it?) Why would MF not see my folders when asked to file a bookmark?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Why are my actions not processing the RAW files correctly?

For starters, I have to say the CS4 has been one of the most unreliable software packages I've ever used. It's a beta version. Adobe is making Microsoft look good these days. I was extorted into upgrading from CS3 because Adobe chose not to create a RAW plug-in for CS3 that would open Canon 5D Mark II files. They wanted the revenue.
I'm an engineer and am pretty good with computer problems, but after spending hours simply trying to install the CS4 upgrade over CS3 on a fairly new, very fast Windows machine with no other software installed by me, I gave up. It took 3 hours on the phone with an Adobe tech to get it running (more or less) properly. CS4 still freezes up about once a day on that system, losing whatever the latest changes I've made by the time I finally get it closed and restarted Then a month ago I bought a new, fast Windows laptop. I only installed CS4 and Word on that computer (with all the latest patches and RAW plug-ins). It's biggest problem is in processing RAW files. I have an action that works fine on my other systems that I wrote from scratch on the new laptop. All the action does is open a RAW file as a PSD file, resize it, convert to sRGB, change the mode to 8 bits, sharpen it, and save it as a JPG. But the resulting JPG does not look like the RAW file from which it was made--color, brightness, contrast, etc. are all significantly changed. When I get back from an assignment and transfer the same RAW files to my other computer on which CS4 is installed and run the same action, the JPGs come out perfectly. Once again, Adobe has met my low expectations. Any ideas on what the problem is?

Sounds like you're a candidate for Lightroom...based on the time you don't
want to spend in Photoshop.
Photoshop install media is likely created in large batches, perhaps in a
foreign country, so it's understandable that you get Photoshop 11.0.0 is on
the media.
I don't know as I would use ProPhotoRGB as my working space in Photoshop. I
was merely suggesting that you look at your color settings to make sure
things were the same on both machines.
How do you know your actions are the same? Did you copy the action
recording from one computer to the other, or did you merely record the same
steps on each one? Have you compared the details of each action step in the
Actions Palette to make sure they are the same? The symptoms still sound
like something different than sRGB being the output color-space, or the fact
it isn't embedded on one or the other of the computers.
How are you viewing the JPG when it looks the same or different than the
RAW? Are you looking at the side-by-side in Photoshop, or side-by-side in
Bridge, or are you using a mixture of viewers, one Adobe, and one not? And
are you using the Canon Codec on Vista or not? The Canon Codec would be
showing the camera-preview in the RAW not the RAW adjustments that Adobe has
done.
While the OS shouldn't be causing a difference in how the action is run, a
difference between OSes may make a difference in the processing to show up.
The camera profile associated with a RAW file is visible in the
third-from-right tab in ACR over at the right. The one with the little
DSLR-camera icon on the tab.
Can you attach the two JPGs on a reply, here, or if not, upload a ZIP of the
two JPGs and the RAW to a file-sharing site like http://www.rapidshare.com/
and post the download link(s)?

Why are my thumbnails not of the photo?

When i imported pictures from a disc into iPhoto, 3 of them do not show the thumbnail of the image but distorted thumbnails of the other images. how do i fix this?
they show on the disc as they should and they show on the photographers computer with the corect thumbnails as well, but not in MY iPhoto.

So a few days ago my bookmarks started playing up, a few appeared without logos near the top of the list, not in date order. I restarted my MacBook yesterday and now they are completed unorganised, I have ones from months ago at the bottom and they are no longer in date order like they used to be. How can I arrange them so at the bottom of the list are the most recently added ones? I can't find anything I am looking for! Thanks.

They should be. If you have lost bookmarks try restarting Safari:

I synced my songs from the iTunes and I noticed that the songs in the music list were not contained in their alphabetic range. For example a song starting with h was overflowing into I. And so on. Please let me know if I am missing out something here.

It is worth noting that Apple scaled back the Music App (formerly know as iPod app, I believe) in iOS 5. It was simplified and some functionality was removed, although why is unknown). It will look and behave differently than what you experienced in early versions.

Why are some aps not showing the ap picture it's just white

When I add an ap back on my sons ipod it is all white, there isn't a picture. Example Angry Birds shows up as the ap but the picture doesn't appear th box is white when we download aps the picture appears. Anyone know why this is happening.

In summary, the Classic has problems displaying photo's whose original resolution was above a certain size.
However you can display the via slideshow, i.e. press the play button rather than the centre button. You may want to change the slideshow transition settings though.
Hopefuly this will be fixed in the next firmware release.

I don't use sync and am not signed in? Why are my bookmarks syncing?

My office computer has one set of bookmarks I use at work. My home PC has another, different set of bookmarks that I use at home. I don't use sync and am not signed into sync on either PC. Why are my bookmarks syncing between the two PCs? For instance, I noticed several bookmarks near the top of my bookmark menu above a separator line that I do not use at work. I deleted them. I get home and find those same bookmarks gone from my home PC. I don't want to sync anything between the two computers, why is this happening?

Perhaps an add-on is syncing these for you.

Why are my thumbnails not matching the photos in my smart album?

I am rebuilding my thumbnails--a slow process I am learning. We'll see how that does. I believe I have the latest version of both iPhoto and OS. What happens is that the thumbnail does not match the photo. The photo in the thumbnail is in the same series, but not the same. Many of the thumbnails are the same photo from the series. I'll report back on the success of the thumbnail rebuilding process.

Why are animated gifs not displaying animations in the preview?

Why are animated gifs not displaying animations in the preview?
My coworkers and I are not seeing a animation in the preview pane in Adobe Bridge CS6 even when clicking the play button in the preview window. However, we do see a graphic of the first frame and one person sees 1 frame when clicking play and one other frame and then the animation stops, however, that is not the complete animation.
I'm using Windows 7 32 bit
My coworkers are using a mac.
One coworker has apple OS Mountain Lion with a Intel Quad-Core Xeon – 64 bit system.
Is this fixable or in the works as a patch? Otherwise we have to open these docs in a browser in order to view them properly.

I've just come to the realization that some animated gifs do play fine and others do not. A coworker of mine suggests that if it's an animation made via Adobe Photoshop, it'll work in bridge but will not if it's made using something else.

No, this is not the case. I know where i purchased the movie and I also know movies cant be added to the cloud such as music, TV shows can. The instance happened during the dowload. I think that depending which computer is up and running and the bandwith allocated on either network, which ever computer that finishes first is the one that gets the movie. Just a thought. So next time I will ensure my IMAC is not running. I think that fixes it.
