i updated the iOs and now none of our phones accept calls

Are these normal ads in web pages, or additional ads injected into them? If they are extra ads, one of your other extensions might be the culprit.
Try disabling ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Does that change the ads you see?
Also, you might previously have been using a list of filters for Adblock Plus that fine-tuned it for various sites. Do you recall installing anything like that?

    I noticed them because they are not in Visual SourceSafe so they appear when I go to add files to VSS when I create new snippets. They contain the text of snippets I've created.
    I know they are harmless, but why are they not being automatically deleted from RH when no longer needed?
    Is this a setting or preference I can set?

    Sometimes temporary files are left behind. These are just files created on previewing a snippet and like any other temporary files are not deleted. Just delete them.

    Not being sent as email - shown as being sent from an email address because you have selected to start new iMessage conversations from your Apple ID email address on your iPhone.
    When registering an iPhone with iMessage, the phone number along with your Apple ID email address is registered with it.
    Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Start New Conversations From - select your iPhone's phone number.

    I also have this problem though it only seems to affect my iPod Nano (6th gen).  It does not seem to affect my iPhone (though now as I type this, I better confirm that as I haven't manually managed podcasts on my iPhone since the last iTunes updates).  I have iTunes set to "manually manage music and videos" (just like OP, I'd rather manage music and videos myself rather than construct playlists and have iTunes sync them), and under the "Podcasts" tab on my nano, I do not have "Sync Podcasts" checked.
    Is this something that has occurred since the last iTunes update?

  • PAP2T: Incoming calls being blocked by Router.

    Hi,
    I am trying to use an unlocked PAP2T Adapter with Telus home network in Canada and am not able to receive calls. I can make outgoing calls to any number in the world, but whenever I get a call back, the phone doesn't ring & later I find it in Firewall log as being blocked under "Low Risk Attack". While trying to find a resolution with the VOIP provider I had at times picked up the phone randomly & found the caller on the line. So apparently the calls have no prblem reaching my PAP2T Adapater, it is just that (1) there is no ring when they do & (2) the incoming calls get blocked by Firewall & dropped.
    I have tried port forwarding (UDP & TCP) as well DMZ mode for the Adapter, no luck. Later i tried disabling almost all of the internet provider's 2wire modem/router firewall features (UDP ports scan, packets , etc.) still didnt work. I have run out of ideas & hoping that someone can help me find a way out of this problem ? Appreciate your help & time. Thanks.

    I changed to the following settings that did the trick for making the phone ring,
    Click Regional on the top:
    Under Ring and Call Waiting Tone Spec
    Change Ring Waveform to Sinusoid
    Change Ring Voltage: 90
    Change Ring Frequency: 20
    However, when I pick up the ringing phone, there is no voice going through the line. Also, as per my VOIP provider instructions, when I dial a local number followed by # sing & hang up in 5 seconds, I don't get any callback either. I have even updated the PAP2T to the latest firmware 5.1.6. Any thing else I can change to get the voice across & get the call back ? thanks for your help again.

    Are the episodes being shortened when you publish to a local folder and launch them in the browser as well as when published to the server? See this page under "Troubleshooting"...

    If the local files are OK it would suggest the problem is on the server. Otherwise you need to troubleshoot iWeb.
    If the problem is files that are too large, you can reduce the sampling rate and/or convert to mono if the content is mostly speech rather than music.

    Add me to the list of MobileMe subscribers who are not happy about the chance to iCloud.  I was very happy with MobileMe.  I'd much rather pay for a good product vs. being forced to use an inferior free product.  I back up all my work data to MobileMe/iDisk and I am concerned that it will not be transferred and that I may run into problems in the future.  A previous post that I just read said that data will not be transferred.  Is this true??  Also why are photos and videos not being transferred?  Can they at least be manually reloaded?

    Apple have decided to terminate MobileMe - they did give a year's warning of this - eleven months ago.
    iCloud does not provide general file storage of much in thue way of a Gallery; you will need to download any files which you do not already have on your Mac before the end of June.
    If you want to continue with online storage and galleries you will have to find a third-party alternative. These pages examine some options:

    Why is itunes blocking my and others accounts from buying diamonds and cash in the iron force game. I have been blocked for the past 3day April 28_29_30from being able to buy the diamond mine 1650 diamonds for $ 99.99 and another package of diamonds for $ 49.99' this looks like the old bait an d switch game where a great deal is offered and then you adore forced to buy something less expensive. I have been in computer business for over 30 yrs and all iyunes needs to do is reset the accounts on their system yet they don't want to do that. Also of note I was allowed to buy small amounts of diamonds only to see that some were taken from my account when I was signed and no message as to why this was done. I had 1230 diamonds and did. Not play the game an the next thing was I had only 1170 diamond?.? What's that all about. Itunes is not respecting customers or. Good business practices. And very. Stupid for not selling uds , the customers the products so itunes can really make more money. I have spent many hours on the phone to resolve this only. To get the run around

  • Why is RTSP now being blocked on my Mac?

    I was trying to play a streaming video from CSPAN and all of a sudden it stopped working. I can no longer play streaming videos either with a plugin or directly using either Real Player or Quicktime. Well, I can play videos as long as they use an http address or URL, but RTSP no longer works. Is my firewall suddenly blocking it? Can't play them using Safari either.
    Here's the address I was attempting to connect to:

    I just get a message that there's a network problem. I'm using an Airport Extreme base station, but until today everything was working fine and there was no problem with this protocol. Has something been reset?

    Ok here's what finally worked for me with getting rtsp streams to play directed from C-Span. (The only site I am aware of that this didn't just automatically work.)
    This is all first assuming one is using Airport Extreme, and running Leopard 10.5.4, (though I imagine it would work on 10.5.3)
    Make sure Safari or your Browser is not running. Quit it if it is.
    If you are not using Airport, try skipping to step two.
    _Step One: Reconfigure your Airport Extreme._
    Go to your Utilities folder, (Applications/Utilities), and open: *Airport Utility*.
    Double click your base station name in the left column.
    This will open up the configuration you have for your base station.
    Make sure you are on, "Airport," on the top tab of the configuration page.
    This will open up four tabs below it, click on: "Wireless," the third tab from the left.
    Here I had pre selected: *802.11n (802.11b/g compatible)*
    I changed this to: *+802.11n Only (2.4 Ghz)+*
    Then I clicked on: Update.
    This takes a minute or two.
    _Step Two: Change Real Player Preferences_
    Open Real Player, open Preferences, (through the Real Player menu or by holding down: "Apple Comma")
    Click on the: "Transport," tab on the top of the preferences window.
    Check: *Use manually configured RTSP and PNA transport settings*
    Click on: Configure.
    In pop-up window click: *Use HTTP Only*.
    Click: OK
    Close preferences, and just to be sure, quit real player.
    Re-start Safari, or your Browser, navigate to C-Span, and try one of those rtsp links.
    If you are like me, you are in for a pleasant surprise.
    After months of not being able to watch C-Span, rtsp streamed archives, it now works!

    I have a lot of duplicates in my iPhone 4S and for the last two days, I painstakingly added twitter info, addresses, Facebook IDs and other information to some of the frequently used contacts. Let's say about 20 contacts (I have thousands of contacts with thousands of duplicates). I was pleased with the way iPhone contacts app is built and I didn't think much about until a friend called an I noticed his name was not appearing on the screen. I later realised that every contact that I had modified by adding or deleting duplicates (20 of them) were stripped off of all the information that I had added and only a few details were left. Funnily, the duplicates didn't come back either. I have a backup of all my contacts on Smartr app so I am not worrying about the loss of data but I am disappointed and angered that contacts app has a mind of its own! Interestingly I haven't even synced the phone to iTunes. I am really confused why the contacts that I modified are tampered by the software. What can I possibly do? Can't I ever use the native contacts app to modify and delete contacts?

    Do you have your Contacts set to "On" for iCloud? Not sure why what is happening to you is happening, but if you do have them on for the Cloud, then even if you haven't sync'd to iTunes, there would be syncing going on with the Cloud...
    I would suggest switching the Contacts to Off on your phone, doing the updates, then switching back on again.
