Why are my downloaded songs from ITunes cutting off before the song has played?

I am new to ITunes. I purchased 6 albums. Why are my downloaded songs starting in the middle and cutting off before they have played?

Try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.

Tried to back up music before new OS was loaded but for some reason, it only kept artists through the letter J. I did not realize that until I restored my iTunes under new OS. I tried to download form iTunes and it says the songs are already on my computer. This is either because I did originally download them to this computer on the old operating system or because the names are still in iTunes even though the file associated with them is not. I purchased a song from Itunes, downloaded into my library and synced to my Ipod....Well when playing the song, it cuts off at the 3:20 mark, and the song itself is 4:07 long....I have tried everything, but I cannot get it to work...Can someone please help me? Does the track play all the way through in iTunes? If not, remove the song and redownload it via iTunes. It will cost you nothing.

Backing up songs from itunes player while maintaining the song information I manually organized through itunes player?

I want to clean out my current comp, so I would like to back up my music and only the music that in my itunes player. I have music in my itunes library folders that I have cleaned off my itunes player. I didnt know that when i deleted songs from my itunes player that it left the origonal downloaded file in the folder.
So is there a way to get my itunes player and itunes media folder looking the same, with song titles, artists, and even the songs that have been deleted off my itunes player? I have had a lot of music through this computer so there is alot of memory i could free up by deleting the songs completely that i once deleted off the itunes player.

Sounds like you are trying to stream the songs vice having them downloaded to th iPod.
First go to Settings>iTunes and App Store and turn OFF SHOW ALL
If still problem
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

I've done a search on here and haven't found any solutions posted for it for windows computers. You could try posting in the iTunes For Windows forum and see if you get any suggestions in there (are you able to download other items from the store e.g. a free app ?) - I use a Mac, the only things that I could think of to suggest trying is see if you get the same error on a different iTunes library :

or using a different user account on your computer in case it's a problem with that user account.
But you may want to try the iTunes For Windows forum first, apart from anything else you are likely to get better help for the above

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting that song from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.

Sure. Drag the song into your Project from the Music Browser and drop it on the clip where you want it to start. It should appear as a ribbon underneath your video clips. You can then drag the left edge if the clip to the right, until it starts where you want it to.

Another way. Once you drag in the music clip, click the gear icon on the clip to open the clip trimmer. You can change where the clip starts there.
