Why are my iwork apps stuck saying "waiting"?

I have a iPhone 5s. I downloaded the free iwork suite. They worked fine till I used iBooks. Logged into iBooks and agreed to let it sync my bookmarks. I then checked out the store from within iBooks to see what was new. I downloaded the free iPhone iOS7 guide and now all my iwork apps are dimmed out saying "waiting". I tried rebooting my phone but didn't help... Any suggestions?

I don't have anything updating... I was downloading the guide through iBooks but that's it and it's been completed...
I've tried restarting phone and logging out of app store and back in. Still no good...
Wow, and now after logging back in, I go into iBooks and under purchased books, I'm seeing 3 of the same book for every book I have... This is messed up...

If a podcast is not downloading, it may be due to the server that hosts the podcast, or because there is an issue with your current Internet connection. Deleting the podcast from Downloads may help solve the issue. To delete a podcast that is downloading or waiting to download, tap Downloads, swipe left or right over the podcast, then tap Delete.
Depending on your device, podcasts can be streamed and downloaded over Wi-Fi or cellular data connections. When using a cellular data connection, there may be a limit on the maximum podcast download size.

  • HT5137 Pages App stuck saying waiting and unable to delete. how do i fix this?

My pages app has been stuck saying waiting for the last few days. When i press it is unresponsive and i am unable to delete it. How do i fix this?

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
    If that doesn't work:
    •  Log out of your iTunes store account.  Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
    • Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
    • After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

  • Why are the iWork apps not free FOR ME?

This might be a pretty old question, but lately I came to know that iWork apps were/are free for iOS 7 running devices, and my iPhone 4s which runs on iOS 7.1.2 and I activated it JUST 4 DAYS BEFORE SEPTEMBER 2013 (And many say, those who activated their iDevices after September 1st of 2013 are eligible to download iWork apps for free) is not able to get those apps for free. So is there any trick on refreshing/re-activating my account so that I get those apps (iPhoto, iMovie, Pages etc.) for free? Not being mean, but I feel so embarrassed for not activating my phone just after 4 days so that all those apps which I needed most would have been free (And ofcourse I did not know They would come for free if I had activated my phone afer 4 days ).

The offer for free iWorks apps is date dependent. If you purchased it prior to the eligible date, no, you are not entitled to them for free, and there is no trick to getting them. you will need to purchase them.

I have several apps that are not updating, they are stuck saying "waiting".

    Are you downloading music?
Check by going to iTunes (on iDevice) > downloads and then remove the one that is trying to download, this will then make the others download and when they are finished, the apps will update/install

  • Apps stuck in waiting after updating on iOS 7.0.2

Since i updated my iPad 2 to iOS 7.0.2 i have this persistent problem, I tried everything to make it normal but it never happens.
After i update an App on my iPad throught the AppStore on the iPad this problem occurs.
    1. Eventhough the update is complete the app gets stuck in "waiting... " state
    2. However the App opens through the AppStore on the iPad
Above are few of the apps stuck in waiting and they have a Open button adjacent to them.
Notice that iBooks is on waiting... however i can open it through the app store.
    and use it normally.
Only solution which works as of now is to delete the apps from settings on the iPad and install them again from the Appstore, but then i'd loose all the data i previously have.
I have no Idea why this is happening. I cannot open the stuck apps directly by taping them i have to go through the AppStore. Please help.
PS: You cannot uninstall app by long tapping it because the X mark does not appear on the app.

    Try a reset ...
    Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

  • How do you install apps that says waiting

How do I install apps that say waiting that wont budge

If the apps are downloaded from the App Store, connect to WIFI network and click on the app, make sure your iPhone is charging and keep moving the screen so it wont go on stand by.
When it says loading and you see the bar loading you can just leave your iPhone alone and wait until it's downloaded.

Hi I've recently got a new phone and have backed up my old phone using iTunes, so I've now restored the new phone from my backup and all my apps all say "waiting".  I cant use an app because of this. How do I fix this?

Click and hold an icon until they all start jiggling and a X appears. Click the X to delete the partial download.

  • Why are my new apps in 'limbo'?

Whenever I get apps from the iStore, I click on the Install button on my pc, but instead of installing, the button simply changes to Will Install!
What gives with this? I want the app to install when I click on it, not at some theoretical time in the future...??! Am I doing something wrong? Omitting something?
This occurs with my iPad and my 4S.
