Why are my monthly World Minutes for Office 365 no...

Both Skype and Office 365 subscriptions are current and up to date but the World Minutes never reset and always show that I have "Reached my Monthly Limit". Skype and Microsoft are the only companies that I pay money too and yet have the most difficult time reaching support or getting answers.

Sign in to your microsoft account.
Hit the activate button on the skype minutes.
Be sure to scroll all the way down to claim them.
Wait about 10 minutes and they should be showing in a sidebar when you sign into skype. Try making a call to a landline or mobile.
If they aren't being applied, it may be because you are calling outside the 60 eligible countries or regions.
I DID this and actually used one of my minutes! Yippee!
I'm no whiz so you should be able to do it too.

  • 60 World minutes for Office 365 - Add KSA

    Hello there,
I'm requestiing a country to be added to the 60 World minutes for Office 365. Right now I didn't get the benefit of this offer since I'm only calling to Saudi Arabia which is a big country that should be supported.
I want to know if you guys planning on adding more countries to the plan especially Saudi Arabia.
    Thanks,

  • Re: Using world minutes for office 365

Agreed, this just happened to me while calling a mobile number in the UK. The worst of it is that I did also have anytime Skype credit, so my call cost me money without me realizing it until I later went to check my balance.
I understand that there are limitations to the awesome service provided by Skype, but it's outright misleading to give the name "World Minutes" to a subscription service that can't even call mobile numbers outside of the US (& territories), Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand (of all places!?), without waving a big flag saying "EVERYWHERE ELSE THIS ONLY APPLIES TO LANDLINES". Especially since landlines are on a rapid decline as compared to cell phones. I guess the advertising for Office 365 was too good to be true.

    and Thailand (of all places!?),
    Hello,
The reason that Thailand (and the 4 other countries) are included in the cellphone calling World Minutes program is that these countries treat cellphones and landlines alike and have very low calling rates to both. Unfortunately UK (in common with many other countries) is still charging very high rates for cellphone calls so it's not yet possible to include them in the program.
I understand your comments concerning making it clearer and will check to see if this can be done.
Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

I'm having the same issue.  My account page shows that I have 60 minutes linked and active, but when I use my skype account to make a call to Korea, it doesn't use any of my 60 minutes.  In fact, I ran out of the minutes I paid for and got disconnected!  Meanwhile, my 60 minutes are still just sitting there, untouched. Please help.  Thank you.Are you calling a landline in (South) Korea?  Only landlines in that country are covered by that subscription.

  • World minutes for office 365 & Unlimited World 1 m...

Hi, I have two subscriptions I originally had the Unlimited World 1 month and then I purchased Office 365 and they gave me 60 min worth of calling every month. Anytime I make a phone call it's covered by my Unlimited World plan because I am currently calling to the  USA; now how can I change it so I can use first the 60 min from my Office 365 and once that expires to switch back to my World Unlimited?
Also I am using sony ericson xperia and I have skype installed but most of the time when my friends call me the phone doesn't ring ..in other words the skype applications doesn't open only on my computer and it's kind of annoying ! How do I fix that?

Here is a list of where you can actually call with world minutes:
"Call landlines and mobiles in: Canada, China, Guam, Hong Kong SAR, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Thailand, and United States.
Call landlines only in: Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia (excluding rural areas - LEX), Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guadeloupe, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia (Jakarta only), Republic of Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, United Kingdom, and Venezuela."
Pretty limited. But there it is. Doesn't help me at all. Even in the US, no one has a landline anymore!

  • World minutes for Office 365

When i was sold the Windows Microoffice Pack the guy said that i get 60minutes free calling on skype. Now that i want to use it, the country that i want to call is not on the 'available list' Is there anyway of getting around this?? That is just not fair :/

Hello and welcome to the Skype community,
Unfortunately there's no "workaround". The 60 minutes subscription trial that comes together with Office 365 is fixed to the current country setup of the World subscription. Please take a look at our subscription page to the country you want to call and check if the subsription we offer might still be interesting for you:

  • Ip or host name of monthly activation servers for Office 365

    Hello ,
i need to know a method to activate office 365 for 4 of my company computers that are banned from internet connection .
One of the option that i may accept is tho manual specify the ip addresses or the servers name where Office is going to activate .
    Thanks .

    Hi catabej,
Could you tell me what version of Office 365 are you using? If you have product key to activate it. Or you can activate Office 365 on phone, choose the telephone option in the Activation Wizard to get the phone number to contact in
    your country.

  • Useless World Minutes (from Office 365 subscriptio...

    Hello Skype,
I got 60 world minutes each month from Office 365 subscription...which is nice...however, I have not been able to use a single minute?
    Issue?  Insufficient credit (!).
Destination call?  SCB, a landline call to an international banking institution in the heart of HCM city, the biggest city in Vietnam...not a rural area, not a mobile phone...how so???

The Office 365 signup page: http://www.skype.com/en/offers/office365/ has the supported countries clearly listed on the lower half of the page.  No further research is required.  This is the same list that appears under the properties of the World plan (in graphical flag form) on the Skype rates page when looking at the available plans for a particular country.  If the list was any shorter, it would be wrong.
Call landlines and mobiles in: Canada, China, Guam, Hong Kong SAR, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Thailand, and United States.
Call landlines only in: Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia (excluding rural areas - LEX), Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guadeloupe, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia (Jakarta only), Republic of Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, United Kingdom, and Venezuela.
It is a 60 minute plan that adheres to 60 minutes available to those countries.  It isn't $60 worth of general credit.  I have not doubt restrictions in this form allow people to get the most amount of talk time and allows the promotion to be cost-limited through contracts allowing the promotion to exist.

  • 60 minutes for Office 365

    Hello,
I have a problem with the 60 world minutes which are supposed to be included in my Office 365 University account. I linked my pre-existent Skype account to my Microsoft account and that was that, but the free 60 minutes are nowhere to be found. I am not in one of the counties in which that service doesn't apply. Please tell me how to find and be able to use my 60 minutes of free calling! Thanks in advance!

  • Skype credit vs World minutes by Office 365

    Hello,
I have both skype credit and world minutes (offered by Office 365). When I do a skype calling to mobile or landline, which account above will be taking into priority and whether I could choose which one should be active at a time as part of charging/payment?
    Regards,
    Cedric

Hello and welcome to the Skype Community.
Skype will use the subscription that’s best for you. It ranks your subscriptions and uses them in this order:
    By minute rate – lowest rate (i.e. cheapest) ranks first;
    By plan type – unlimited ranks first, and limited ranks second;
By next monthly minutes reset date – nearest ranks first.
