Why are my movie clips cut off when imported?

I am importing movie clips from my flip camera and only half the clip is being imported. HELP!!!

Are the episodes being shortened when you publish to a local folder and launch them in the browser as well as when published to the server? See this page under "Troubleshooting"...

If the problem is files that are too large, you can reduce the sampling rate and/or convert to mono if the content is mostly speech rather than music.

When I create a 5 x7 canvas, why are my pictures getting cut off?

So, I'm pretty new to Elements 12, but I do understand things about ratios and what not. But I am still not understanding why when I create a 5 x 7 canvas, create something on it, then try to print, it either leaves space on the edges or if I do crop to fit, cuts off my image! I am creating a completely new canvas and adding pieces to it, like text, clipart and so on. Any help would be appreciated!

Check the following:
Make sure that you have the latest drivers for your printer. You can do that on the manufacturer's web site.
Make sure that the orientation of you file and the one selected in the print set-up are the same.. If you have a landscape oriented file, for example, go to File>print. In the dialog look for "Page Setup", and select landscape.
Crop to 5x7 before sending it to the printer. For paper size, try 5x7 borderless,

Why are my songs being cut short when I am exporting to Itunes/Soundcloud?

Whether 3 minute tracks or 6 minute tracks my songs are getting cut off in their prime when I try exporting to Itunes/Soundcloud. I have the end of track marker in the right position and it was never a problem before upgrading to the New garageband

Why are prints from Preview cut off at bottom of page

When I print a PDF from Preview the print has about 3/4" cut off the bottom of a portrait document or from the right of a landscape document.. When I print the same document from Acrobat Reader, it prints correctly. I use Page Setup before printing. The scaling in the other direction seems correct which makes the cut-off a mystery.
I prefer Preview for PDFs as it is much faster than Acrobat Reader. The cut-off prints have caused me grief when I have not detected them. What is going on here?

I have the same problem and can confirm it also happens in Leopard. There was traffic on a similar Leopard issue printing landscape to Windows shared printers that was fixed in 10.5.2, but it doesn't seemed to be solved for my situation (printing to CUPS shared printer). Note that it seems to be a bug in the way Preview creates a PDF for printing, since Adobe Reader works fine, and "lpr <filename>" from the command line will also work.
If you have any more info since you posted, I would be interested.

Why do my margins get cut off when I right click print, but not when I open my document and print?

When I right click print (without opening the document) my margins get cut off, but if I actally open my pdf document and click print, it will print just fine. This only happens when the document has print that is close to the edge.
I am using Adobe 10.1.2 with Windows 7.

As for your comment on this being my first Mac, and the program issue, you misunderstood. Yes the eMac is in fact my first, personally owned, Mac computer other than the original Apple II series floppy fed PC, in which me and my father owned. The only other Apple/Macintosh computer I had experience on was my father's 13" MacBook Pro, and 20" iMac (both ran OSX Tiger 10.4.11, just as the one I have know runs). The iMac was upgraded to Snow Leopard due to our need for better picture/video/audio editing software such as that of Adobe, and the Macbook Pro was sold because of a business that was started being siphoned out of money. I purchased the eMac from a small business based off of eBay. It had the majority of OSX Tiger software, only missing minor programs like Photobooth. Other than that, it had no wireless software like BlueTooth, Wi-Fi capabilities, wireless sync, ect... But alas, when you buy a Apple/Mac computer, you must take a few cutbacks when purchasing it (even refurb.) for around $120.00 including taxing, shipping, handling, ect... I purchased nearly all of my software from co-workers and friends who had an extra key, or I would receive the software disc from them, and buy a key. The only "illegal" thing I had on the computer was music I had downloaded from LimeWire. I have never, and will never, trust any software coming from a torrent download site.

Why are my photos getting cut off in IOS 7?

Hey does anyone have this similar problem that I am experiencing with the IOS 7 update. I have quite a bit of manga on my ipad and prior to the update, the photo would scale perfectly on ios 6 without any use of recroping or resizing meaning that I use the original sacling of the picture but with the recent update, I have noticed that the photos are enlarged and the scaling is off the point where the text bubbles at the top,side and bottom portion of the photo are cut off. This also only occurs in the portrait rotation and this never happened before in iso 6. Just to clarify, this is not for wallpaper setting but rather reading manga through the photo tab. I would like to keep the original scaling as it was never a problem on ios 6 but I was wondering if anyone has a solution for this or is it just a bug that I have to wait for apple to patch through. Why are my movies clips freezing?

I am editing some video clips in iMovie 11 & when I hit the space bar it will play some then stop & start again. The audio is still playing & the bar skips to catch up with it. I have never had this issue before. Software is current.

The reason I asked about disk space is that what you described could be caused by not enough space. Movie projects take up alot of hard drive real estate, as you probably know.
I'd keep an eye on it and post back if it happens again.

Seems that the sequence settings you chose is not proper.
Please right click on the clip in the project panel & click new sequence from clip. Else you can drag & drop the clip from the project panel to the "new item" icon.
Try that & hopefully it will work.

I understand that Forms 6i and Oracle 9 iAS have been de-supported for years. Meanwhile we do still run a small application in the 9 iAS environment.
We have forms and reports running on Windows 2000 server, I am able to successfully clone the same 9 iAS from Windows 2000 to a Virtual Server Windows 2003 x32 and all runs fine, the only problem is that the fonts in the pdf reports are larger in the new Windows 2003 environment as compared to the original Windows 2000 and characters are cut off when they don't fit in the pdf report output in 2003 env.
Any advice is most appreciated.

Well, since you've had the same problem, with three different phones, that all use different size sim cards, it seems pretty obvious the problem is with your carrier/coverage & nothing to do with your phone or sim card.

Titles get cut off when playing after the burn

The title created in the movie are too wide and get cut off when playing it in a DVD player into a TV. Is there a setting I should use before burning?

You should turn on the TV Safe Area and make sure that everything that you care about is within this area. Anything outside the area is subject to the over-scan of TV sets.

Why are there no Clip Lengths on each clip? (CS6)

Why are there no Clip Lengths on each clip, along with many other choosable clip attributes most all other editing programs offer? I often need to glance at many clips at the same time and need to see their lengths relative to each other when editing commercials or programs with many many short cuts. precision is impossible without this identifier.

Many longtime members of this site are well experienced with helping the "recent converts" who come in here and immediately have "issues" because its not "how it was done" in what ever NLE they converted from. ( Usually FCP)
Usually the issues are unfounded and if they are... usually it is suggested that a "Feature Request" is made to Adobe ( with a Link). We users are very well served by Adobe staff in here and often the suggestions are forum debated and taken on board as being worthy.
Could anyone actually make Feature Requests to Apple and have them listen?

Toshiba Portege S100-S1133 Laptop, Intel(R) Pentium(R) M, processor 1.73GHz 795MHz, 512 MB of RAM. Internet (cable or wireless - COMCAST service) cuts off when the house phone (AT&T service) rings. The HP Laptop in the house doesn't have this problem. COMCAST can't fix the problem.

The only way to fix the problem entirely is to not have any 2.4GHz cordless phones in the house. You can try to change the wireless channel on your router but it probably won't be far enough from the 2.4GHz phones to help. I assume when you say it shares internet you mean that your home computer is connected in the back with ethernet and that is why the internet stays up on it. Your MBP connects wirelessly so it disconnects when the phone is in use.
Go to 192.168.1.1. Log in by leaving username blank and password is admin. Click wireless and under basic wireless settings you probably have channel 6 by default. Try channel 1. (Though you can also get into problems with wireless networks of neighbors interfering so download [Airport Radar|http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/networking_security/airportradar .html] and try to avoid channels that are nearby).
As I said the only solution is not using 2.4GHz phones.
