Some of my notes have disappeared from my iPhone 5S. I noticed a while back on my old 4S. I spent about 3 hours at the Apple store trying to fix this. But it was a waste of time. My notes are backed up to my iCloud and yahoo so I still have them. This apparently is a common problem because there are a lot of folks asking the same question. The same answer that I have seen is how to retrieve them. That isn't a solution. Why is this happening and what needs to be done to keep it from happening. This is a very useful app but it is no good when it continues to lose my notes. Same thing is happening with my wife's 5S too!

It is not possible to delete Safari, it may have moved to a different screen. Do a search for the app or you can click on your settings>general>reset then select reset home screen layout.

Why are my playlists deleted from my iPhone?

I've had this iPhone 4 for about a year now, and during most of this time it was synched with one single computer (I manually manage my musics and videos). Recently I had to change computers, and after that I started having some trouble with my playlists: all playlists created in my iPhone (on the go) are deleted as soon as I connect my iPhone into a computer and sync it with iTunes. I figured out why this was happening to me. I have an Iphone 5 & i sync notes to yahoo & periodically my notes get deleted without my knowledge. Here's the story, & I'll need help finding the actual feature on itunes cause I don't sync to itunes since I can't. Iphone 5's will not sync with my power mac.
- Periodically I noticed notes disappearing from my notes. Sometimes a couple notes, sometimes a lot of notes. This was frustrating. The only good part was that they all appeared on my mail account so they weren't gone forever. They were just being deleted from my notes app. I then noticed that this was only happening when I plugged my phone into my work computer to get power. Itunes would pop up & attempt to sync my phone. (I turned off auto sync in the Itunes options, but every now and then, some co worker turnes it back on. One time when I plugged my phone to the work computer & it started to sync. I stopped it, then checked my notes. It was in the process of wiping the notes. It started from the top & went down. I must of stopped the sync in time to save some of them. Now if I had to guess, there is probably a "delete synced notes" check box in your device page of itunes. That I cannot verify cause I do not want to sync my device to my work computer to find out.. Can anyone else verify this?

Why do my photos and videos randomly get deleted from my iPhone? They disappear from the camera roll and photo stream. Yesterday I had photos in camera roll and photo stream - today they are both empty. Photo stream is still there on my other devices.

Why did my AirPlay disappear from my iphone and macbook when trying to stream to Apple TV?

I have the newest gen Apple TV. I got it mainly to airplay from and mirror from my ios devices, and macbook. I soon learned that mirroring was not available as the have the last gen macbook, but that i could airplay using home sharing for everything in my itunes library including directly from my iphone running 6.0.1. I was enjoying that function most of all and then all of a sudden, it's just gone. The AirPlay icon is gone from my phone, and my apple tv no longer reads my macbook running latest version of mtn lion.
On the Apple TV, it keeps telling me to turn home sharing on, which it already is.
My Apple Tv is running the latest version. I have the latest version of mtn lion, as well as ios6. I am on the same network on all devices - did a test - test came back positive the tv is able to run apps successfully. Reset all devices, restarted all devices.
Is there a fix for this? There should be no reason why it's not functioning. Please help.

Put your mouse on the word RECENT in the left hand pane. Then when the word 'Show' appears, click on it.

I've recently performed a restore on my iPhone 5 and managed to back it up successfully, but I've just realised that when I delete a note from my iPhone, it deletes from my iCloud. Previously, I could delete a note from iPhone and it would stay in the cloud.. How do I fix this? I want to delete some data from my phone but would like it to still be stored online.

You can't do that.
You could create a second iCloud account just to use online.

Why are apps not syncing between my iPhone and iTunes?

Hi! When I connect my iPhone to my computer and sync with iTunes, everything gets synced except my apps! If I get a new app in iTunes, it will not sync across to my iPhone. I have to download the app from the App Store on my iPhone. If I delete an app from my iTunes, it does not delete on my iPhone. I have to delete it myself from the iPhone. I cannot move apps across iPhone pages in iTunes and have it sync to my iPhone, either. Yes, my iTunes is authorized, and the Run Diagnostics all works with no errors. What am I doing wrong? What setting do I need to change? Thanks!

I just want to clarify that the syncing process goes through all its steps: preparing, contacts, calendars, notes, email accounts,... then "determining apps to sync" flashes really fast, and the syncing ends without doing anything with my apps!

Why are most photos disappearing from albums in iWeb?

I'm having a problem with the photo albums on iWeb.
I drag a photo album from my iPhoto window in iWeb to the photo album web page and it becomes an album with slideshow capabilities. If I publish the site, everything appears fine. I save iWeb and exit.
Now if I open iWeb again, all three of the photo album pages still exist, but on each page, only four of the original photos remain. The albums are supposed to have 29 photos, 35 photos, and 46 photos total. Now they each show four.
I thought it was a fluke, so I added them all again including captions. Then I saved, closed and reopened iWeb. The photos in the web albums were gone again.
I'm using iLife '09 with the iPhoto that exists on my laptop, but all the source photos are located on a Mac Mini in my local network. Any ideas on why this is happening and how I can fix it?
Note that the complete album as uploaded to the actual website still exists and works great. But if I publish the changes, the album will disappear.

Why are my photos disappearing from my camera roll?

I just recently got a new iPhone 6 and my photos from my camera are disappearing everyday. I don't know why because i have plenty of space on my phone and even bought the 20 GB iCloud monthly plan. I used to have a little over a thousand pictures and now if you go to the top of the camera roll they will disappear in order everyday and generally stays around 300 pictures but fluctuates daily. Please help, I am losing valuable pictures that I wish to keep forever.

How exactly have you set up sharing? How did you set R/W on the Library "file"?

I can watch iTunes tell me its copying over 600+ podcast episodes to my iPhone while syncing, but as soon as I disconnect the phone, most of them are mysteriously gone. *Poof* After email, podcasts are what I use most. If they don't sync, the phone is practically useless to me. I have tried every combination and permutation of settings I can dream up and rebooted everything more times than I can count and still the problem persists.
How about it, Apple? Why not spend a few of those billions and hire some software testers before you rush another half-baked product to market.

If you're still having this problem, you might try changing a few settings on your phone.
Turn off wi-fi.
Don't allow Podcasts.app to use cellular data. You'll have to turn it off in two places.
Settings > Cellular > Podcasts - off
Settings > Podcasts > Use Cellular Data - off
This will force you to sync your phone over the USB connection. If it works then the problem is probably at the Apple server end.

Why are songs randomly disappearing from iTunes?

Every once in while, I turn on iTunes and find that it cannot "locate" songs. When I go into Finder, the songs are gone -- they've completely disappeared. And it's completely random -- a few songs from a number of albums, a couple of albums completely, and single songs here and there. And it doesn't matter how I got the music -- whether I've downloaded from the iTunes store, others websites, or my own CDs. Using an iMac 10.7.4, iTunes 10. Can someone explain why this is happening? It also happened with my old MacBook Pro.

My son (a former Apple Genius) finally figured out what was happening to my movies. A recent upgrade of iTunes seems to have a new feature that determines if the movie was purchased or gotten from another source. When the Add To Library option is used, if the new purchased movie was in the Movie folder, it is added to iTunes and remains in the same folder location. A movie from another source, if in the Movie folder to begin with, is moved by iTunes into the Home Videos folder in the iTunes Library. If you prefer to keep all of your movies in the Movie folder, which seems like the logical thing to do, select the movie title in iTunes and then right click to Get Info. Then select the Options tab at the top of the window, Change the Media Type to Movies - this will change the library file folder location where the file is stored and also change the location where the file is found in your AppleTV.

What happens if you try to download them directly on the device?
Are you certain they are not simply hiding on another home screen or in a folder?

I have an I-Phone 5, purchased last March. I have upgraded to IOS 7 when it first came out, no problem. I have been making lists of my packing boxes and they keep disappearing after a few days. I am wondering if sync is wiping them out. Anyone else having a problem with the notes feature?
