Why are my PDFs black background with white lettering?

I cannot remember how to undo something. My pdfs are black background with white lettering. I just want it back to normal

Hi pistoley,
Are you viewing your PDFs in Reader or Acrobat, and what version? It sounds like there may have been a change made to the Accessibility preferences. In Reader/Acrobat XI, choose Edit > Preferences (Windows) or Reader/Acrobat preferences (Mac OS), and click the Accessibility category. Is Replace Document Colors selected? If so, try deselecting that.
Please let us know how it goes.
Best,
Sara

  • Mail page now black background with white print and I cannot fix.

Today when I signed on, my mail page is now black background with white letters and I cannot figure out how to change it back to what was there before -- black on white -- and cannot find anything in help on this problem.

Some web pages give the user the option on page styles. For the rest of
    them,<BR><BR>
    Go to the
    '''''[https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/ Mozilla Add-ons Web Page]'''''
(There’s a lot of good stuff here)
    and check out
    '''''[https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nosquint/?src=external-Add-ons_Manager_Context_Menu-extension NoSquint]'''''.
This add-on can override web page setting to give you control.

  • Why when I fill my background with white the background comes up transparent?

Can someone tell me why when I fill my background with white the background comes up transparent. How do I get it back to filling in white.

    Hi SSJoyce,
What version of photoshop and operating system are you using?
Is the background a locked background layer or a regular layer?
How are you filling the background with white, such as using a keyboard shortcut of Edit>Fill?
A screenshot might provide more clues as to where the trouble is.

You changed the proper preference, but you don't need to relaunch iTunes. You do, however, need to click the blue OK button at the bottom right of the preferences window. The change will happen then.

  • Black background and white letters?

Lion 10.7.2 and iTunes 10.5 on a Mac Pro.
Everything has been fine until this morning when all of a sudden my background has changed color to black and the characters are white. I don't know what I did to cause this. More importantly, I don't have a clue on how to go back to a white background and black characters.
    Thanks for any help.

    Tom,
Thanks for the suggestion. However, while doing this does change the background on iTunes, it also flips the all the other windows to a black background and white characters. The only app that has the black background is iTunes, everything else is fine.

  • Black background with white ink

    Hi Everyone,
I'm pretty new at designing and one of my friends requested for me to do a business card.  I have a few problems with it: 1) the black background is not showing up when I click preview or save as .pdf file.  How do I make sure the black background will show? 2) the white ink needs to be done on the black background (black business cards with white text).  I want to make sure I cover all my steps so the printing turns out great.
    Thank You for your help,
    Aleksandra

You need to specify what printing method you are preparing for. For offset printing, you usuallly don't print the white; you print the black around the white. But nowadays, business cards are done in a variety of printing methods, including for example, screen printing onto plastic cards. Screen printing can print opaque white ink onto a colored substrate. "Gold" could mean anything from a Pantone metallic spot color (offset) to gold foil (letterpress) to an opaque screen ink (screen printing).
If you don't know, just forget the background, prepare the white elements as solid black (100%K, not a so-called "rich black"), and communicate the printing color to the printer.

  • PDF Black Background Shows White

I have created files in Illustrator with black backgrounds, but they aren't showing in Acrobat, they show as white. How do I fix this?
    Thanks.
    Maureen

It may depend on how you are creating the PDF. For example with PPT, you have a choice of printing the background (basically because it would use a lot of ink on a typical printer. So let us know how you are trying to create the PDF and we might be able to help. There is a chance you may have to ask Illustrator users.

  • Black background with white text?

Just installed the trial and am trying to figure out how to get ALL the windows to be black with white text. In prefs I can set the main viewer and filmstrip to black but all others remain gray. I've seen all kinds of screenshots fro Apple so I know it can be done. I did check through the PDF help but didn't see anything there (unless I'm just missing it). TIA.

    Hi cbrew,
There are a few options that may be considered here, so I will give brief details of the ones I am thinking could help.
The OS itself may have options that help, and you may as you have tried select to use chosen settings but these simple solutions are often unsatisfactory.
    I note [[Accessibility#w_using-a-high-contrast-theme]]#w_using-a-high-contrast-theme says:
    Using a High Contrast Theme
Firefox automatically detects if you are using a High Contrast theme and displays everything in your high contrast color scheme. This overrides all other other browser or web page settings, and it affects the Firefox interface itself (all menus, windows, and dialog boxes) and the content of any web page you visit.
That may well be worthwhile trying as an alternative to simply changing font size and colour.
    THIS MAYBE THE BEST IDEA<br/>
'''There is a popular add on called No Squint, it takes quite a bit of setting up to work properly but it is very powerful. '''

    * read also support note https://urandom.ca/nosquint/
Additionally it is possible to change settings that includes the Firefox User Interface, it is fiddly, and will probably only be worthwhile if using No Squint. It involves setting the preference ''layout.css.devPixelsPerPx''

  • Black window with white letters

In the past several days a black window appears on the desktop with white writing saying restart your computer as there is a problem with the hard drive. I restart and the computer works just fine. I have a imac intel.

Or you may have an actual problem developing with your hard drive.
    BACK UP NOW!
    I recommend installing SmartReporter. http://www.corecode.at/smartreporter/
as it can tell you if your drive is failing.
I don't want to seem like an alarmist but preparing to restore your hard drive from a recent backup is better than wishing you could.

  • Need Red background with white lettering?

I'm trying to create a document A4 with a complete RED background - no margins etc just as a borderless print - i then want to print some large text onto the RED background in White text.
I cannot for the life of me find out how to do it - any ideas please
    thanks
    ianjh

Place a rectangular object onto your document, and size it the way you'd like. Open the Inspector and choose the Graphic tab. Change the color to the shade of red you like. Select the Text tab in the Inspector, click in the object with your mouse and type your text. Finally, change the color of your text to white

  • Change menus to black background and white text (not invert colors option)?

I have an iPhone 5 on the way to me as I got one for a very good price. I am visually impaired. I currently have a Samsung Galaxy s3 which is crapping out on me after having it for a long time). One of the features I love about it is, the menus (settings, contacts, etc etc) are in high contrast (black background with white text, which is much easier on my eyes and easier to read. It is my understandiing that the iPhone is not the same way. I had a friend look on his, and the only option he found was the "Invert colors" option. The reason I don't want to use that is because it inverts ALL colors for everything on the phone, including pictures. t just want to invert the colors in all the menus so I can read them easier. Is there any way to do this? BTW it's running IOS 8.

the invert colors option is the only way to achieve that on iPhone currently
you should go to http://www.apple.com/feedback/ and request that feature added, I think a lot of people would use that

Uh, I'm really unconcerned with what perplexes you. I am perplexed as to why they would ship a black computer with a different color accessories. If price actually IS the reason for this and not just a guess on your part then answer the question. If you don't know then don't answer it.
