Why are my Pictures distorted and not fully filled with color?

HP ENVY 110 e-All-in-One Printer - D411a.  Why do Printed Pictures come out distorted and and Color not filled in fully?

SG asked rsayen06 several important questions to get at the core of that user's Premiere Elements issues. So far I do not see any answers to the questions. An the answers will be in those details. Although you have offered your project settings and saying that you have the same problem, they are but a small part of the troubleshooting equation.
1. What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
2. You say you are putting pictures and music on the Timeline? How many pictures and what are their pixel dimensions? What type of music, what compression and file extension? What is the total duration of the Timeline content?
3. When you playback the Timeline content in the Edit Mode Monitor are you looking at the rendered or unrender Timeline?
4. When you say that you see distortion in the pictures...how are they distorted...
a. from the point of view of pixel aspect ratio, flicker, lines, other?
b. What do your computer resources look like in the way of installed and available RAM and free hard drive space? Are you getting any error messages associated with any of the project difficulties that you are encountering?
c. When you get to the burn dialog, what does the Quality Area show for Space Required and Bitrate?
We will be watching for your follow up.
Thanks.

  • After syncing my music onto my iphone5, why are songs grayed out and not playable

after syncing my music onto my iphone5, why are songs grayed out and not playable?

If you are syncing music to the iPhone automatically, you won't be able to drag and drop tracks on to the iPhone and the music will be grayed out.
You'll have to Manually Manage the music.
Configure iPhone, iPad, or iPod for manual management
If you have iTunes 7 or later*, follow these instructions:
Connect the device to your computer.
    Open iTunes.
Select iPhone, iPad, or iPod in the Devices list.
Click the Summary tab and select "Manually manage music and videos".
    Click Apply.
Even when you have enabled manual management, you can still sync some content automatically. Select any content tab, such as Video, to enable automatic syncing for that type of content.

  • Why are my photos below and not to the right?

I have a layout problem and it's driving me nuts. The code I have for a page is a hodgepodge of sorts and I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to get two pictures to be on the right hand side.
This is what I want it to look like:
But all I can get it to look like is this:
The lightbox photos are below the form. Not to the right of the form as I want them to be. I'd be very grateful of any advice the community can offer. I'm tech savvy; I'm a genius the apple store. But I haven't worked in Dreamweaver before and this is, apparently, pushing the limits of what I can do. The site is from a template so there is a great deal of superfluous code.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Pictures - why are some pictures visible and some not?

Why is it that some of the pics I transfered from my digital camera to my Macbook, iPad, from windows-system or from external drives and vs. are not visible on my Macbook.
In this case my Macbook opens iPhoto and a while later indicates, that I will not be able to make the picture visible (cant remember the exact phrase that appears on my screen - its something like incompatibility of pics).
Anyone, facing a similar situation, and please how to solve this fast?

I am also having this issue, only difference is the playlist use to be on my iPhone but is not there now.  The playlist shows with no music in it now.  This particular playlist I downloaded all songs to my phone

  • Why are my pictures smaller and heavier on illustrator and photoshop?

    Hello everyone,
I'm having a problem that I can't fix and it's geting in the way of my work. I'm the sole designer (and trainee) so I don't have anyone to help me at work with this.
I work on a macbook pro (retina screen), with CSS, and when I scale pictures on Photoshop to, let's say, 1000px wide and then save them at 150dpi and to 300 dpi and open them on Illustratot, the pictures don't fit properly on an A4 board. And the 300dpi picture is much smaller than the 150dpi one (shouldn't it be the opposite?).
And then, the real problem comes with my co-workers, who work on pc and with PhotoScape, when I asked them to scale the same pictures at the same ratio (1000px wide), when they send me the scaled pictures and I open them on the same Illustrator project, the picture is much much bigger than the one I scaled on Photoshop on my macbook pro, and at the same time much much lighter.
My pictures are about Megas or Gigas heavy, and theirs is KB heavy.
So each time I need to work with pictures I need to constantly ask them to scale these pictures and send it to me. Which is ridiculous.
My projects keep being huge (very heavy) and I don't know why.
Attached is what's happening. The biggest pic is the original one. The one on the left is the one scaled on PhotoScape, and the ones on the right were scaled on Photoshop at the same ratio as the one on PhotoScape (so they should have the same px in wide), and the one up is 300dpi, and the one down is 170dpi.

PPI is the correct word for an image's resolution.
As for printing: ask the service provider what's best for their workflow. It totally depends on the process, on the hardware, on the paper and on the size of the print.
For video: use screen resolution unless you want to enlarge the footage in the video.
    Additionally:
read the manual of the video software in use
    read about printing:
Search for the "Creative Suite® 6 Printing Guide" in your preferred search engine.

  • Why are my R G and B panes inconsistant with the main pane? (PS7)

I'm using Photoshop 7. When I make an RGB image and draw something using grays only, I'd expect the indivdual color panes to look the same as each other and the same as the main RGB pane. But while they look the same as each other, they don't look the same as the main RGB pane. What's going on here? The RGB color profile is set to Monitor RGB, so it won't differe from my monitor, and the Gray color profile is set to Gamma 2.2, which I heard is the default gamma for Windows computers. I set all color profile handling to "off", so it should just behave like a fancy drawing program with lots of effects I can apply to images, but without the color profile mumbo jumbo (and a fancy drawing program is all I need it for as a hobbiest and a game sprite editor, as my intended output is ALWAYS my monitor and NEVER a paper print out). But I obviuously didn't manage to turn off ALL handling of color profiles, as the way it handles the color chanels when I draw in gray on an RGB image is proof. Normally at this point I'd give up and use something else and uninstall Photoshop, but it is easy to use and has some features that NO other program I've found does that actually come in handy while I'm editing ripped game sprites, ESPECIAIALLY its RGB to indexed color convertions (great for making my own 16 or 256 color sprites out of 24bit color images) and these RGB to indexed conversions (just by the options it presents for this conversion, and the color accuracy of the algorithms like Local Perceptual and Local Selective, and the rare ability to save as a 4bit BMP file) are FAR FAR FAR better than any other graphics program I've EVER used before. So I REALLY don't want to stop using it. However it REALLY is getting on anoying to have the R G and B chanels look different from the main RGB pane when I'm drawing only in shades of gray.
Any idea how to fix this?

    J Maloney,
I'm not sure I understand your question/statement or what you are trying to achieve.
I just ran a little experiment (tell me if I am on the right track or whether I am completely missing your point, which is quite possible). I took an sRGB color image. I duplicated it so I had two identical sRGB images. One I converted to dot gain 20% using Relative Colorimetric with BPC on. The other was converted to Gray Gamma 2.2 with RC & BPC. Of course, the numbers changed, since a dot gain space is not the same as a gamma curve space, but the appearance is the same.
Then, I "selected all" and copied the 20% dot gain image and pasted it into a new sRGB document. I repeated the procedure for the gray gamma 2.2 image. This gave me two new sRGB images that are grayscale in appearance (fully desaturated).
All four images (whether dot gain 20%, gray gamma 2.2, or the two desaturated sRGB images look identical to me when switching back and forth from one to another. You can't "assign" from one mode to another (for example you can't assign a grayscale space to an RGB document). If you assign a different working space to your grayscale or RGB image, the numbers remain the same, but the appearance changes.
I have my "Color Settings" in Photoshop set to 20% dot gain, because I don't do a lot of grayscale internet work. Press work is more up my alley so I prefer to use dot gain. I also have all my color management policies set to Preserve Embedded Profiles. Maybe changing color settings will have some impact on the above scenario (I haven't tested that in ages, so I don't remember). I almost always convert (Edit > Convert to Profile) by selecting the exact profile and settings I want anyway instead of just using the "Mode" feature. That way, I know exactly what is going on and have control over the final outcome.
If I was doing a lot of B&W work for the internet, I'd probably set my gray working space in color settings to gray gamma 2.2, and use either sRGB or Adobe RGB, since they are both 2.2 gamma working spaces.
I'm rattling on, hoping I am understanding your question or statement.I'm not "jumping through any hoops" and all 4 of the above images have identical appearance. I must be misunderstanding something, or perhaps out color settings are different.

Chicky, I have searched my computer for "iPod Photo Cache" and 51 folders pop up, plus 3 files (iPodInfo.plist, Photo Database and Image DB Temp.tmp). How do I know which to delete and which to keep? The Apple website page tackling this issue doesn't go into any detail. Thanks yet again.

  • Why are my pictures grainy (not clear)?

    why are my pictures grainy?

The resolution of the cameras on the iPad are very low, something like 1 meg, and they are mainly for things like Facetime. If you have very good light then you may get acceptable photos from it, but you are probably better off using a digital compact or even your phone for photos

  • Why are most of my keywords not included when I export images?

Why are most of my keywords not included when I export images?
Since starting with Lightroom 1, I've entered keywords into either of the two fields between "keyword tags" and "keyword suggestions" in the keywording panel.  I was unaware that some keywords are more equal than others, or that Lightroom offered (or has added?) hierarchy support.
I recently stumbled into the news (to me) that Lightroom tags can be organized into a hierarchy, so I exported my keywords to a text file to examine.  I hadn't unwittingly created any hierarchies, but an astounding fraction of the keywords were within square brackets.  Sure enough, if I export an image, keywords within square brackets are omitted from the output (jpeg) file.  How nice.  Since I began with Lightroom 1, I've added nearly 1600 keywords.. Too bad most of them are coded wrong... so as not to accompany output that I create.
    1.     What was I supposed to do, as a photographer beginning to use Lightroom, to enter keywords simply but reliably:  what I type is what I get? I'd expected that's what the "just type here" interface would provide.
I especially dislike obtaining erratic results:  most keywords are in square brackets, but a few are not.  Of course, when I use a simplified interface, I should expect not to have access to some of the options or features.  However, I shouldn't inadvertently trigger undocumented behavior.
    2.     Does the Adobe reference help system say how to enter keywords simply and reliably, in its documentation of the keywording panel? I don't find my answer under the Keywords topic, within Home / Using Photoshop Lightroom 3 / Organizing photos in the catalog.
(I NOW realize that the instructions for the "Create/Edit keyword tags" dialog mention exporting. However, that's not the method I was using.)
    Dick Rawson

I'm afraid that I distracted you with my background mention of hierarcharial keywords; I'm not asking about them.
I've entered keywords for several years of using Lightroom.  Suddenly, this week, I find that most (yet not all) of them have the attribute of "don't include the keyword in an exported file's metadata."  I never intended to ask for that; I thought all keywords will stay with the file and its offspring, and that's what I wanted.
    So I'm asking:
    1.     What did I do "wrong" to induce Lightroom to give the keywords that attribute? I never intended to ask it to.
    2.     Where does Adobe document how to enter keywords reliably so that they stay with the file on output?  I can't find that Adobe does.
    > Can you be more clear about keywords in square brackets? I know when you export the keywords as a list you can get a normalized data file that uses punctuation and tabs as delimiters...
I did export the keywords into such a list:  most keywords in the plain-text list have square brackets surrounding them, indicating keywords that will be omitted from metadata of any image that Lightroom exports.
My concern is not that the brackets are there.  They encode the attribute of "don't include the keyword in an exported file's metadata," and recognizing that attribute concerns me.
    > ...but I've never seen keywords in image files or in the interface rendered so.
    I haven't, either.

Yup, your question and Diane's answer helped me also. Tho' I had had problems before getting into the iTunes store I always managed to find a way. Today they had me blocked cold with the "Update to 10" advert no matter what I did. Other questioners are being told, incorrectly as it turns out, that they have to update their OS to accomodate iTunes 10 and upgrade to iTunes 10. I did the download which did not take up much more room on my crowded old hard drive and now I'm back in business.

  • Why are some 100% Accurate Rips not matched by iTunes Match?

Why are some 100% Accurate Rips not matched by iTunes Match?
Is there an Apple Support employee that can address this question?
The phenomenom occurs for over 500 of my tracks spread out among 100+ albums.
Certain tracks simply do not match to the iTunes library, despite being 100% Accurate bit-for-bit Rips. For reference, I use dBpoweramp for ripping, which checks CRC.
As an example, take Aerosmith's "Get a Grip" album; Tracks 2 and 5 will not Match to iTunes, despite perfect integrity in the ripping process.
Upon looking further into those particular tracks, I notice a discrepency between the "track length" reported on the iTunes store page, and my accurate rips for those tracks [track 2 & 5 on iTunes: 4:09 & 6:19, respectively; track 2 & 5 direct accurate rip from physical CD: 4:10 & 6:07, respectively].
So clearly, with track 5, there is a major discrepency, 12 seconds difference, which leads me to think the iTunes release of this album and retail release of the CD I physically own are quite different.
Well there, I guess I've solved the "reason" for the undesired functionality, but it certainly doesn't solve the issue at hand.
A major aspect of the iTunes Match product is To Match, so that, in part, bit-rate upgrades can take place, and also to provide management and format uniformity.  I do realize that there is no guarantee iTunes has every album one could own, and entirely un-matched, and thereby Uploaded, Albums are a significant upside feature of iTunes Match; however, 1+ tracks on each of a significant quantity of albums, which iTunes carries, not matching to iTunes creates heterogeneous-format albums, and significantly more library management.
If there is a workaround for this issue it would significantly improve the user experience for iTunes Match.  A user shouldn't have many hetereogeneous-format albums when iTunes carries/sells those albums, and the user has perfect quality rips from their physical CD.
