Why are my purchases disappearing when I now connect my Ipad?
I connect my ipad to my computer and it now says that I need to authorise it. I follow the instructions to authorise it and then it says that it has already been authorised and I go around in circles getting asked the same thing and following the instructions. THEN it loses all my purchases on the ipad. I am getting very angry with it.Please give me back my Clubland album and the last few things that I bought

In the previous version of Firefox one could choose to save tabs so that when Firefox opened, all the tabs from the previous sessions appeared. This was done in Settings > Options > General > Startup. In the menu for the "When Firefox Starts" one had the option for "Windows and tabs that where opened last time you accessed the net." in Firefox 5.0, this menu is gray and not clickable. Help, please?

Possibly you are not saving your "browsing history" which is what the session history is tied into.

There are several things that are related to private browsing and not saving History
* Private Browsing Ctrl+Shift+P
* You selected "Never remember history" in first drop-down of Tools > Options Privacy and all of the check marks disappear (See picture above)
* "Permanent private browsing mode" was check-marked under "Use custom settings for history" in the first drop-down of Tools > options > Privacy (see picture above) -
Why are my purchased songs not showing up on my phone under Purchased?
I downloaded one song yesterday from my phone and that showed up but I purchased and downloaded 4 songs today on my computer from iTunes and now they are now showing up.. WHY//////Not sure why this is happening and it is a pain. Once the Purchased list sorted by 'date added' go to the left most column and select the top - in my Purchased list the new items go to the bottom and I drag them back up to the top position.

Check Settings>General>Date & Time>Set Automatically>On. Make sure that the time zone setting is also set correctly.
If that didn't solve the problem, restart your iPad and try again. If that fails, reset your iPad and try again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -

The 'features' you refer to are not anything that a customer should really care about, so why don't you just turn them off.
Do you really care about "Location-based iAds" - I've hardly ever even seen iAds!
Do you really care about the time-zone updating based upon your international location - unless you are a very frequent traveller, this 'feature' is pretty useless and can be turned off without losing functionality that matters.
The specific features to turn off are indicated in my post above - they are all in one place, they can all be turned off in about 20 seconds, and your problem will go away, and you will not lose any important functionality.
Obviously I would agree with your point if you had to refrain from using the phone or making text messages, or playing games, or taking photos... all of which are genuinely useful features of a phone.
But I disagree with you that you should deny yourself reasonable battery life on the basis that you need the specific features that made you buy this "Apple product and not an Android one" when these features are in fact not first-line, or even-second line features... they are just 'things' that make very little difference to how a person would use their iPhone at all.
Anyway, that's my thoughts on it. Yes of course it would be great if Apple could fix the bug but as it isn't showstopping, I find it hard to get worked up about it -

They are all part of one Section. Just as you do not (hopefully) rip pages out at random from books, the pages of a Section are linked by the text that flows from one to the other.
If you want to move or delete particular page/s Insert a Section Break at the end of the page before.

If they have the cloud icon then they are in the cloud, not on your iPod. You can turn off the showing of iCloud music via Settings > iTunes & App Store > Music (under 'show all' heading) 'off'.
But if you have never bought/downloaded those songs then they shouldn't show in the cloud for streaming/redownloading - the U2 album was an exception, Apple automatically added that to everyone's account whether they wanted it or not. It's your account that shows as being logged in in Settings > iTunes & App Store ? -

Hi Stephanie,
My suggested workaround: In Acrobat Pro, in the Page Thumbnails pane, select the pages that you want to replace then right click and select "Delete pages". Then, right-click the page just ahead of where the replacement pages will go, select "Insert pages", and follow the prompts. This is just the way I do it, not the only way.
Tiger26 is making the excellent suggestion that, prior to inserting pages, encapsulate the tags for the pages to be inserted using a Section tag. This makes the post-insertion chore of dragging the tags to their proper place in the tag structure easier.

What is the size of the email attachments you are trying to send? Many email providers limit the message content size some where in the 2-3 MB range, some larger some smaller. If your photos are multile MBs that could cause the provider to reject the email.
Try resaving a rejected photo to a smaller size/resolution and see if it goes successfully. -

When you turn off any device, it will disconnect from the internet. My sense is that you're not quite explaining what's happening. Do you mean that when you turn it back on again it doesn't automatically reconnect? Do you mean the if it just goes to sleep (as opposed to being powered off) that it switches from WiFi to cellular? Or are you saying that you think that when you turn off the iPad, the router disconnects?
If you're trying to say that the iPad disconnects from WiFi when asleep and switches to cellular, the solution is to keep it plugged into a power source.

Why won't cells autopopulate when using numbers on the ipad as they will in excel? Anyone have a fix? I have also created a dropdown menu in excel, but that does not translate from excel to numbers either.

When I view photos on my devices some are not oriented correctly. I used Picassa to turn all photos upright and then copied those photos into the upload file but they are still not corrected when viewed on my devices (ipads)
Generally I would not use Facebook for sharing any photos, it compresses the photos substantially, and when you have shadows and dark colours you get visible "bands" where there should be subtle gradients, ie at sunsets and sunrises.
It sounds like you are using two methods to upload to Facebook:
1. Sharing from within Aperture, which basically syncs Facebook with your Aperture album, so any changes made at either end gets synced, hence the deletions from Albums, although the original file should still be in your library, just removed rom the album. It is like a playlist in iTunes.
2. Exporting pics and uploading to Facebook from the browser.
I am not sure how method 1 gets compressed, but I know that uploading hi-res jpegs to Facebook using method 2 results in poor quality images.
I wouldn't even bother comparing option 1 or 2, and they will both be poor images once you view them on Facebook, as opposed to viewing uploaded images on proper image sharing / hosting sites.
Your problem is not with Aperture, it is using Facebook for showing your work.
If you export pics form Aperture at high res jpegs or TIFFs your images will be fine.
If you insist to use Facebook as your way to share your work, then your workflow should be this:
1. Right click images you want to share.
2. Select Export version.
3. Export as 100% size and ensure the export settings are set at 100% quality.
4. Upload this pic into Facebook.
This will get you the best image size and resolution on Facebook.
See how you go. -

When I wire-connect my ipad to my mac, iTunes opens up and it says along with other information that mac will back up my laptop. I wish to know where the Back up goes, I mean where my ipad informations are stored as back-up ?
Further, now I am going to wire-connect my iPhone to mac and I wish to transfer my iPhone photos to mac, since my iphone capacity is less. Please tell me how to transfer photos / albums from iPhone to mac when I am wire-connecting to mac.

Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
Though you probably won't be able to make much, if any, sense of the files within that backup unless you restore it onto a device.
In terms photos, you should be able to copy those that you've taken with the phone to your Mac via Image Capture, Aperture and iPhoto.
